Jiangxi Ganzhou Dragon Tiger Mountain Taoist Hakka Fist: Five Chinese Fist (江西赣州龍虎山道教客家拳: 五华拳)
The Founder who created this martial style was a Taoist practitioner. He had been living in a Jiangxi Long Hu Mountain under his Taoist masters, hand-picking herbs and learning various arts. At the time, there were five advanced disciples learning closely with the masters of the area. The founder was one of them. After the founder successfully completed his studies, he left the mountain to travel around and visit other martial arts practitioners. In his travels, he passed by Sichuan (四川), Hunan (湖南), Hubei (湖北), Zhangzhou of Fujian (福建章州) and Zhengcheng District of Guangdong (广东增城). Once, when the founder arrived in Xinhui District of Guangdong, he went to Tiancheng Temple (天成寺) to learn and share the knowledge of martial arts with a senior monk there. The senior monk taught him some Stick Forms. The Founder eventually settled down in Cuihengcun of Zhongshan in Guangdong province (广东中山翠亨村) where he established a center to teach martial arts. Master Gu Cai-Hua's (Ku Choi-Wah / 古才华) father, Master Gu You-Zai (古有在) had the chance to become the Founder's disciple, thus obtaining the opportunity to learn traditional Chinese medicine and Jiangxi Dragon Tiger Mountain Five Chinese Fist (江西龍虎山五华拳). Master Gu You-Zai managed to master the authentic arts from the Founder. However, China in that early era was full of chaos and Master Gu You-Zai decided to travel the Southern Seas to hopefully find a better place to live. Subsequently, he arrived in Malaysia (old Malaya), bringing this Kung Fu style along with him. This martial arts style is officially named as "Jiang Xi Dragon Tiger Mountain Five Chinese Fist (江西龍虎山五华拳)".

It's a lot like the "soft" version of Chu Gar Saam Bo Jin in principle. Shares some movements with the Saam Bo Jin that was taught to me by my Jook Lum teacher.

The story and locations mirrors Jooklum. And the style begins with Som Gin and Som Mun. This form looks like Jooklum Som Bo Gin blend with Tai Zu / White Crane San Zhan but with some “different” foot work, and hand motions (the slapping especially)

“五华” is possibly not meaning "Five Chinese", instead it likely means the location "五华县“ (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wuhua_County). Therefore “Five Chinese Fist" is a terrible and misleading translation.

Hello brother, The *Five Chinese* refers to the five people, who, throughout the history of the art, passed the lineage down to Sifu Ku Choi-Wah's father. It's nothing to do with a location. This is from Sifu Ku Choi-Wah

@@MartialArtsHall Well, that is not a common way of naming, but if this style was born out of China, it would be possible.
