haha i remember meeting him as a lil kid a few days before the match against andre the giant. i asked him if wrestling is real and he slapped the back of my head and said " was that real?" lol
Samoans and Tongans look like Puerto Ricans and Dominicans. I thought The Rock was puerto rican. I thought Haku's sons were Dominican. I thought Haku was Dominican as well. Lol Latinos and Polynesians stand up!!!
This is what he is saying in Tongan "Kai keu tokanga au ki ai,hufanga he fakatapu, pea ki he Tonga kotoa 'I 'Iulope(Europe) ni kae 'uma'aa 'a Pilitania(Britain) ni,ko e me'a na'e mai ai au ki heni, keu ha'u ki heni ke ma fetaulaki ai mo Graig Valentine,ko ia ai ko e 'uhinga 'oku taha pe,keu 'I heni kuo pau keu malohi pea teu toki foki ai ki Amelika(America) 'o tu'u hoku nima 'o hiki ki 'olunga." This is the English translation " I'm not worried, may you excuse me under any taboo, and to all the Tongans in Europe and also in Britain, the reason I was send here was to come and meet Graig Valentine(I think that's the name he is saying),that's why and that's the only reason,to be here,I have to win, then I will then return to America and stand my hand and lift it up " Please note that he is saying this with adrenaline tone, and may be that's why you might feel as if he is swearing, plus the Tongan pronounciation accent lol. please note that when he said ".....and stand my hand and lift it up"/''.....'o tu'u hoku nima 'o hiki ki 'olunga", is a slide mixed up in his sentence, but I think he was meant to say ''..... 'o tu'u 'o hiki hoku nima ki 'olunga", which in English it should say "....and stand and lift my hand up". My translation is pretty much the closest I can do.Also note the ''.....hufanga he fakatapu..",is the most polite way of addressing the crowd and listeners, which illustrate how respectful his speech as he doesnt wanna break any taboo. Hope it will help you Dr J Reefer. Please come to Tonga, and don't stay in a hotel,go to an island or a village, and you would understand our people, our culture, the tapu or taboo as they translate it to
As a Tongan, it’s crazy and refreshing to hear our language in such a platform as the now WWE. I hope the door that Haku opened brings more Tongan wrestlers to the business.
