Can give credit for a successful remake of Dornier-228 but HAL should grow out of this copying business and try to manufacture a aircraft on its own. The nation has invested heavily in HAL and cant wait for eons to see HAL trying to re-invent the wheel.

Important thing is,. This aircraft can be converted into vertical take off and landing easily for engineering side❤️

Residents of Bengaluru and aviation enthusiasts request HAL India to preserve the agricultural aviation legacy of the HAL Basant Agricultural Monoplane . Please recreate the first solo flight of the HAL Basant Agricultural Monoplane on March 30th in 2022 that commemorates 50 years of the first flight of HAL Basant that took to the skies on March 30th, 1972. Flight simulators of HAL Basant in the HAL Aerospace and Heritage Museum in Bengaluru will inspire futuristic agricultural aviation pilots in India.

Now these are in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare, Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited can endeavour to recreate the first flight of the HAL Basant Agricultural Monoplane that took place on 30th March , 1972. The legacy of Agricultural Aviation and the 39 aircrafts of the HAL Basant Agricultural Monoplane needs to documented, archived and preserved even as 50 years are over in the year 2022 commemorating the first flight of the HAL Basant Agricultural Monoplane.

If Donier 228 is so good why even after 30 years in Indian skies this has not become popular ….??

India should make 100% own aircraft. First 19 seater Saras, then 50 seater and finally 100-110 seater propeller version. Then make her engine versions of these. Compared to other countries India is far behind and now under Modiji make fast strides in aircraft manufacturing.

PSUs need to be disbanded otherwise they would keep on producing such low quality patchwork product like tejas,ALH,dorniers, any nation with minimal industrial capacity can make airframes.
