I had an absolute blast writing this review! Big props and thank you to Mark and Glen for giving me a chance to do this for them. I hope it does well for their channel and is informative enough for all the viewers. This type of game is not really my bread and butter, but I was pleasantly surprised. In all honesty and my opinion if it gets a sale down to $15 it is a really great deal and $10 or under it is a must get.

It's a real "GEM", didn't notice you mention how funny some of the dialogue "text" is though because it is quite humerus! I really do appreciate this game and will always return to it, had it for years and on my 3rd run, thank you very much for this detailed review!

This game caught my eye a while back when I heard it was coming to the switch. I must say I’m not too into this type of game but maybe this will be that game that I try first. We shall see. Your boy certainly gives a good review. Way to go brother.

Can't speak for others, but, can say that, personally, even though I'm usually a fan of clicking across a galaxy map, and prefer games like star sector, Elite Dangerous All the X's except rebirth and OFC Freelancer, this game surprised me by scratching an itch I didn't know I had... It's like xcom and FTL had a baby that took after its granddad but still had traits of the parents somewhere in there. Only other game I can even think of trying to compare it to directly would be Star Trader's: Frontiers and that's also a very very loose comparison, mostly the story is vaguely similar.

I've played most of the trek games but 2. Andromeda and the online one. I'm very picky to tactical games. I loved Star Trek: Star fleet command and the 3rd one. There is also some old PS & PS 2 mech games I liked,but forgot their names. Was a series. Last one was actually voiced. Had a attractive white guys face to it. Black hair. You had 2 main factions stories to do. One was the guy to game cover. Other was a white lady with white hair and french. However I don't like tactical games like Brigidane to PS. I also dislike time controlled games. As stardew valley.

So did I. I'm looking for informations online about the bugs the game seemed to have. I wonder if it has been patched. Let me know if you have any bug / freezing to report please, I can't find anything about these topics.

@@nlc282 well played it all last night. Very addictive. No, I have not encountered any bugs thus far. Is it on sale on your eshop? It was like $2 on ours, could not resist. So far (5 to 6 hours) encountered no bugs, the only thing I have encountered is sometimes when you press A it doesn't register you pressed it, but pressing A (eg: for firing weapons) button again it works fine. That is about it really.

Ummm not sure what to think about this game, interesting, the mecanics sounds like you can have a lot of enjoyment, just that something about it rubs me the wrong way, can't really explain it, and don't want to pass it from just a feeling, depending if it's on sale, good review thought, thanks to ChickenPerm and happy gaming

So many turn based games coming out, its like the new flavour as side scrollers were in 2018. The only unfortunate thing is I generally do not like turned based games (there are some minor exemptions like Mario Rabbids) unless there is cover and movement involved. I hope Mutant Year Zero finds its way to the Switch

Never enough for me. Its the perfect genre to play some games while being social with my gf. All the gaming action i want but i can lay it down any moment when i want to reply/listen to something she sayd.

@@anab0lic I cant argue with your statement. I like a game that exercises my brain, more then a game where you repetively punch enemies. I'm more into real time puzzle games like Zelda

Turn based games are kinda like one big puzzle in a way, where you are puzzling over the best acition each turn and how that action may affect future turns of your team or the enemy further down the line. Deciding the best party compositions, equipment, lvl ability progression choices... done well they are great brain exercise. I enjoy Zelda puzzles too those tend to be more spatial puzzles, different kind of brain workout but I appreciate and enjoy both.
