Birds seen are the 'I'iwi - Hawaiian Honeycreeper - Vestiaria coccinea, Hawaiian Coot (`alae ke `oke`o. Scientific name: Fulica alai), The Nene (Hawaiian Goose, also endemic) is the Hawaii State bird. Also viewed is the Hawaiian subspecies of Black-necked Stilt.
