People are entitled to their opinion, but you can't say that this is "tone deaf" or musically unimpressive. Haley has such a great voice and this song is so musically complex, and well executed, that it deserves some recognition. Haley (and company), keep on keeping on. Your music is fantastic.
This song has gotten me through some hard times when it's hard to love myself. Such meaningful lyricism. We're all worthy of love. I remember covering one of Haley's songs when I was fifteen and she responded to me on instagram saying she loved it. That stuck with me to this day, I didn't expect her to respond at all. I appreciate her music so much and it will always have a special place in my heart :))
Just saw Haley at the Los Angeles Folk Fest and she was amazing. I have to admit I had never heard of her before, but was really impressed with her song craft and incredible guitaring.
For the most part it's standard tuning, atleast for the bass strings, with a capo on 2. I briefly tried playing this by ear and it sounds mostly right with EADGBE, but she could potentially be doing something with the higher strings?
