They should have a cable set for going up and going going down.

@drewsshop Yes it is a GoPro. We stayed at Little Yosemite Valley the night before and started about 9am from there. We had lunch on top and hiked back down to LYV, stayed the night there again then hiked down to the valley the next day. We took our time and had fun. Yes the early the better btw.

Good luck, I was at the peak at 10 and there was nobody up there, we started the 12 mile hike at 5am

awesome awesome video.... I am hiking Half Dome next Sunday!! What time was this at? Seems like you guys got there early considering I don't see a lot of people on the cable. I am thinking of getting on the trail head at 6am. What time did you both start at and how long did it take you to get to the top?

I thought the title of this video meant the cables snapped. Makes you wonder what it'd be like if that really happened. Everyone would either freeze in their tracks and wait for rescue or try to descend and end up rolling 100+ feet downward...

Great video, but I would encourage the young man to take his time and not pick up the pace. If you slip and fall at the cables, you will die because you will roll right down that steep granite.

It's much steeper than it appears.

Living life on the edge may bring the individual to question such decisions. The adrenaline junkies may find themselves trapped in a temporal illusion
