@@kathygonzalez1413Me too! One of the reasons why a time machine seriously needs to be invented (which is why I want to become a manufacturing inventor with a business major after doing some research on Google that inventors usually study business classes).
The more I watch commercials from the 90s the more I'm appreciative of the fact that the frenzy of social media and technology wasn't a thing yet. Which gave us more time to live in that moment. Whether it was a movie, TV, music, or playing outside. Sure the world was crazy and had its own issues. But at least we weren't constantly barraged with it. You had to watch the news and read the newspaper for that stuff.
While true, this was already SIGNIFICANTLY disintegrating in the 90's thanks to the ridiculously rapid rise of the internet & cell phones. The 1980's were the last era mostly truly untouched by instantaneous global tech & communication integration (aka, when the fastest ways of international communication were the extremely limited capabilities of existing satellites and the handful of undersea pre-fiber optic & thus slow & unreliable as all shit copper cables).
@@Cooe. I believe you👍I know I was born in 1988, but I was exposed from stuff from 80s in the early 90s and I can tell the quality is good from that time frame
@@Cooe. the 80s were global and interconnected though. Japan was in the midst of an economic bubble and exporting their culture worldwide. This was when the first beepers and cellphones started to appear. MTV was airing music videos which were mostly produced in Europe. While instantaneous communication was just out of reach home media like videotape and laserdisc began to display the world in people's homes. At the same time cable TV began to really proliferate. If you've seen the movie "Videodrome" from 1983 it encapsulates the feeling of the time. I think the 60s is more when you're thinking of, back when international phone calls sounded like you were underwater and sound and video recording equipment were only used by production studios and computers could fill a 3 car garage.
what? they have a drug ad every otehr commercial lol Peptobismal, ANUSAL lol the anus itch cream lol what a name lol, so yeah nmmah ur wrong they had plenty of drug commercials just not for liek ssris and new drugs, they were just all like right teher tho, that anus cream was a pharmacuitcail just wasnt a modern ad lol
Graduated High School in 1993. I remember Crystal Pepsi. It came out at the same time as Miller Clear and Zima. Most of these commercials I don't remember because I was a busy guy with prepping for HS graduation, being on the baseball team, and a part time job. Didn't leave much time for TV. Things seemed a bit more carefree back then.
Why was the 90's seem so chill? My life in that era seemed to be not much of all these crazy-ness that's going on today. Maybe because I was a kid and didn't care much about the adult stuff? I really wish I can live through the 90's but still have all my memories up til now. Not to go "sports almanac" mode like that movie but just to live through the era again for a nostalgia ride.
End of the cold war and pre 911. The economy was great for most of the decade. The internet was new to the general public and we knew how to communicate without social media and all it's ills. I can go on and on. We are now an instant gratification society.
cuz the 80s were over, and they had a democrat bill clinton in office that even snl knew was just partying and havin sex smokin weed in teh white house, and we had computers and internet in the 90s , got my first internet computer in 1994 dude, netscape navigator, shit was magic, real people online, not lkiek today when smartphoen mobile internet has basically hurt us more than help us, inetrnet is hurting humanity now, it used to be this cyperpunk vaporewave paradise
Oh gosh I remember that clear Pepsi. I haven’t thought about clear Pepsi in probably 20 years. I never cared for Pepsi much but a crystal clear coke/Pepsi product was novelty for pre teens so we drank it anyways 😝. These old commercials do bring back memories.
I'm from Ohio and seeing these local commercials sprinkled in is instant nostalgia. "On channel 3" Also, it's crazy seeing clips of Maury & Springer back when they were more traditional talk shows!
I was 10 years old… God I miss this so much. I’m turning 40 this year and I don’t like being an adult because I can’t be oblivious to what’s going on around the world
@@nostalgiajunkie5167 yeah I enjoy looking back at old shows and commercials I think it’s fun to look back at how things used to be and see what was popular every once in awhile
"Anusol" - LOL. They really had to go out of their way to not pronounce "Anus". Also, wow...Home Shopping Club was considered good because you got stuff in -ten- days. Shows how far we've come.
Yup, it was big news at the time that kind of went down the memoryhole of the nation once the next round of terrorists decided to fly planes into them instead of blowing up a UHaul in the underground parking area.
1:12 The weatherman in the Sure commercial always made me laugh...what kind of weather could he possibly be describing? 1:33 How do you not know your wife/girlfriend is also the daughter of your boss? 2:55 Any woman who carries salad dressing on them at all times is a true catch.. 3:37 Apples with cheese? Seriously? 10:14 Back when Jerry Springer was still respectable... 11:00 You might not realize it, but Phil Donahue is still alive. 12:00 Matthew Heikkila will be in prison until 2051 12:40 Hey chef, please pick an accent.
blame it on forthwave feminist where they think being fat is some kind of achievement and those who criticize it, they call it fatshaming. when I said fat, I mean Obese level of fat not chubby.
@@tenzintsenpey5274 there was plenty of fat women back then. Take off your rose tinted glasses. The average woman back then didn’t look like a supermodel
bill mahyer and a stripper on USA (channel 2 for san diego) UP ALL NIGHT lol shits so dope liek mystery science theatre or sci fi channel apollo anime girl
That lady in the Dexitrim commercial excitedly said she lost 9 lbs. Whats wrong with that? If youre a fat bitch...you should do something about it, for your own health. Judging others is in your (females) nature, and we need to bring this type of 'misogyny' back to advertising. Its important to do so, before all Men go their own way. The lack of submission, concering men and women, in todays society is dumbounding... Heh Let me hear that there are no good men anymore, one more time.
