❤So I have to make this comment, your welding videos are the absolute best, none of the other welding channels can touch your attention to detail, your welding footage is the best most and most detailed, the angles you shoot from are perfect for showing the details I needed to see to finally understand how to get that root pass in, just after watching your two videos featuring this half keyhole technique and reading your commentary, I was able to get a near perfect quality root pass in just TWO attempts, none of the videos I have watched this far have been anywhere near as detailed and helpful, your. channel is the gold standard of what a welding channel should be like! You offer multiple videos giving different techniques! Most channels only do one video showing their preferred technique and that's it, on to the next video, it's because of your channel that I am able to finally weld pipe! My coworkers were all very impressed and thought that my results were some of the best they have seen, some even called them perfect, definitely better than some of the pieces longtime welders are producing in their practice and test pieces! I hope you see this comment only so I know you feel my sincere appreciation for your efforts and highly superior quality videos. After watching your videos ALL PROBLEMS JUST WENT AWAY!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I recommend your videos to everyone I know, every struggling welder needs to see your videos!

I'm glad your throat doesn't hurt anymore. Instead of capsaicin and whiskey, you can use vodka infused with pepper. You can buy ready-made "Pertsovka" (just take Ukrainian not Russian), or do it yourself. Add a couple of pepper pods to a bottle of strong alcohol (0.5 - 0.7 liters) and let it infuse. A week will be enough and you can not get the pepper. 🙂

One issue with a large bead on the inside of a pipe, it is a restriction reducing pipe flow velocity and it also creates turbulent flow through the pipe and can cause erosion and corrosion. It looks like a very wide HAZ and some of the HAZ is outside the shielding gas coverage. The bead itself looks sweet though
Not easy to get a consistent root, can tell you that much lol Was trying to do ecatly that at work, but kept getting root undercut or incomplete penetration. Cant watch the front of the puddle and it penetrating as you go👍
