man father grigori is a real brotha.. such an underated charecter, i heard people found him to be odd, but i loved his apparaence when i first played half life 2, he was like a light in the darkness, but not a normal light, it was a an old bulb with its light shaking, yet still on, shining through the darkness.. maybe thats just a me thing
It's so fitting that this mod is just headcrab overload with a somber, lonesome sounding Father Grigori. Ravenholm really comes off as his own personal Hell here.
I honnestly love that Father Gregori is one of the ONLY video game charachters to use the 1886 winchester aka annabelle as his primary weapon. I noticed that there is a huge flaw with the model. The gun has no extractor which sits on the top of the bolt face. It also does not allow the bolt to swing out far enough to properly extract the case. Hope to see more in the future.
finally a game where we play the father Gregori. but i am disappointed we only have to use its lever rifle . a double-barrel shotgun , a nagant revolver and a mosin nagant sniper would've been neat
There's a "Zombie Slayer" add-on that adds the HL2 shotgun and a flare gun, more ammo and health. I'd personally take a version with just the new guns and original pick ups (Within reason, adding ammo pick ups for the new guns)

This looks so friggin good.... ok so hear me out.... this is like half life and blood had a weird baby and then that baby occasionally interrupted gameplay because he thought that gravemind from halo 3 occasionally interrupting your gameplay was really cool. Props to the devs man, they kicked all kinds of ass.
I don't know about some people, but for me if I was the padre after some of the things I'd seen I'd start drinking. Not that it would help, but ya know.

So, HL2 campaign as Father Gregori is basically like a Killing Floor but solo and in HL2 universe. I mean, at least it looks like it from my point of view. Anyway, interesting mod but I'm afraid that I can't play it for many reasons. One of them is the fact that, while my old PC can handle OG Half-Life 2 and most of the mods, it can't handle heavy mods that not just changes the gameplay but visuals. And the second one is the fact that, you have to download this and download that to make this mod work, and stuff like that. I don't like when you have to scratch your head for hours in order to install one mod for one single game.
My only 2 gripes with this mod are Headcrab models and not enough pickups in the places they should be. They REALLY should've kept original headcrab models, because the mod's models are so ugly that they don't fit at all! I just want to know, why they changed their models to these?
@@DrMedicsGameSurgery I learned it in a video review not that far back and I gonna say my opinion here - vanilla headcrab models fit the Beta FAR MORE, than this atrocios "Beta remake" models.
@@DrMedicsGameSurgery My problem with them is that they look like Ticks + Headcrab knockoff. It's VERY off putting. Vanilla models would just fit better in my opinion, although they might need a bit of recolor or a texture change to fit into Beta style. Also it doesn't help that I can't figure out, wherether "Headticks" have "normal" legs or do they have Combine implants instead? Because the overall look could suggest that Combine made them, as an analog to Headcrabs to use as bio-weapons.
when i start the game there is errors and missing textures on menu screen and when i staret a new game it crashes. any ideas to help? I have css hl2 hl2ep1 and hlwep2.
Would be much easier for the end user that way, and getting projects on steam is a difficult beast but nonetheless we work with what we have for the time :)
@@AmicusVA yea... my main gripe is I don’t really trust the websites to get the mods for half life 2 . Don’t wanna take a chance with malware or viruses. Steam workshop I trust tho
I'm sorry, but I really dislike your gameplay! Instead of giving us a first playthrough impression, you record the gameplay after you've already experienced it, and you're totally prepared for what would be otherwise a hell of a surprise encounter with a tougher enemy or a jump scare.
okay, so I finally got the mod to work, so far I don't like it, I ran out of ammo and cannot survive against the zombies, I understand the game is all about surviving and conserving ammo, but ammo should be more common to find than scarce, the game ends up being a kicking simulator. I had to cheat in order to beat the game. How disappointing. what is the point of a mod like this if you cannot enjoy using Father Grigoris infamous shotgun with worrying of running out of ammo? That's like playing L4D trying to save your ammo and if you dont you run out and then resorting to just using melee weapons.
I think one of the problems is that the game defaults to the hard difficulty, which gives you lower health and ammo pickups, and that isn't communicated anywhere
@@R3TR0--93 Just to let you know, the weapon Grigori used was not a shotgun but a Winchester Model 1886. I don't know why Valve couldn't decide whether or not it's a rifle or a shotgun, but it's best to just chalk it up to them not knowing anything about firearms. Judging by how Grigori reloaded it, it would have been better if he just used a double barrel, over-and-under shotgun. Anyway, if you didn't know that then now you know.
