Having the Gman not appear and disappear as those beams are crossing the camera during the elevator ride is a missed opportunity. Having him just stay still the whole time is way less creepy than a blink and you'll miss it shot.

Whole lot of cohesive detail. Smells like quality.

I really love the run speed. It's definitely a lot faster than base game.

All of that being done in one take; incredible! Especially with all the emoting and gestures and well-practiced gameplay! Great job to Echosmoker and the devs who supported it!

I feel at 2:12, you should reduce the time gman is on screen, making him more able to be missed and also more mysterious. because I felt that part was making him too out of the open unlike other sightings from other games.

as someone who doesn’t own HL: Alyx (or a VR headset) this honestly just looks like typical Alyx gameplay to me… which IMO is amazing, considering this is a mod.

This has AAA+ title all over it. Really impressive. (how cool would recreating the lobby shootout from the matrix in Alyx be as its own playable level)

That continuous movement speed seems a lot faster than vanilla!

Only critisim I could give is how passive the ai seems at times, especially that strider. I expected it to stomp after the player now and then to try and impale them. Though to be fair, that's more down to the limitations of VR in general. All in all I'm very impressed with what was shown. I'm excited to see fast headcrabs, perhaps we'll get fast headcrab zombies? Here's hoping :D

I'm still amazed that the man who gave us Gman saying "Ligma Balls" is doing work on a full fledged actual game with Valve.

The mine looks amazing, especially the drill! I also really like the voice acting. Good stuff. On another note, as well as I know Gman, he was too much "in the open" during the elevator ride at the start. I was kinda thinking he would disappear when one of the metal bars passed and obscured the view.

Are the Alyx lines being voiced by someone else or are they just lines from the base game? I like who you've got for Russel, sounds really good! This looks incredible! I can not wait!

Looks amazing, only problem I can see is that there are a lot of instances where it seems to be impossible to not take damage from the strider like when you were climbing up the crane and when you jumped down into the trenches after the rolling concrete cylinders fell.

Very nice work, especially considering how much Valve has dropped the ball on getting dev tools out to the community.

This looks absolutely incredible! I'll definitely be downloading it the minute it releases! I agree with a lot of others on here though. That G-man sequence should be about a third as long. Having him disappear as the steel beam passes your face in the elevator would make for an excellent blink-and-you-miss-it moment.

I like how with ascention of VR the presentation players should not only show gameplay skills, but the skills in acting as well

Hiding from a strider behind a toitoi and some chipboard is kinda cute.

The combat looks amazing! I love how there's a lot more cover and enemies at once! The Russel voice is amazing but, did custom build some lines for Alyx? Because I don't remember her saying "Oh crap, Moving! Moving!" in the original game. Looks amazing!

will the mod have proper subtitles? I'm not sure how much of a standard that is when it comes to mods, but when I play games I always prefer to have subtitles on

Definitely need to post a link to the workshop page for this once you get it done, as it looks amazing... Of course if the ending could lead into the events of HL2, or another mod that would also give more information on the time between Alyx and HL2, that would be cool too... I'm not exactly sure how the whole workshop thing works as I generally don't use steam much even though I do have a few games that run-on steam. Not to mention that I wish I could get these files from more sources than just the workshop
