You know, the atmosphere of the Half Life games was already pretty rich. But seeing it be brought to life through VR and modern day graphics makes that case even more apparent. It feels so life-like, and the oppressive, otherworldly feel of the game's environments really comes out to play. It's amazing. Kudos to Valve.

I tried playing with smooth locomotion but I kept losing my balance because of it, had to switch to teleport.

@@AppleManiagaming Try sitting down. I used to play standing up "Full roomscale". After a while I stopped playing in VR. I now realise it was because I work 13 hour shifts and my legs and me feet were tired. Since I have sat down I realise I can still interact with my hands and use smooth locomotion and not feel nauseous at all.

The best thing about this game is that when you have a helmet the barnacles will take that instead of you effectively giving you some actual protection

I love jacksepticeye but his playthrough was painful for the first half, standing still for 5 minutes at a time. Barely collected any ammo or resin and started to shoot dead bodies. Love your playthrough, you act like youre actually in the game and thats pretty dope

Really glad I found your channel today. The way you have constructed these playthroughs are just absolutely spot on. From taking in the scenery, to interactions with other objects & NPCs and your commentary and general actions are brilliant. In my opinion, out of all the playthroughs I've watched up to now, yours is the only one that does this game justice. Kudos to Valve for making an amazing game and Kudos to you for providing such a great playthrough. Can't wait to see the rest of the game, keep up the good work!

JoelT7193 he does in vr but recording doesn’t show you the full fov of when you’re playing. I have vr and a great example is when you wear hats you can see the brim, whereas in recording you can’t. Hope this helps ya in any other vr vids ya watch!

You do lose ammo when you drop your mag btw, your gloves only show the ammo in your backpack.

I like watching D play through what I've already played to see how we differ and what we do alike. Like for instance, I shoot alot of barnacles in Hope's of ammo, he sneaks around alot of em. That button puzzle I didnt even notice the cardboard and just saw the drawing naturally. Its very fun with vr to see what someone does differently

Nice how smooth this is, I saw some of another playthough by someone else, and they were so jerky and seemed to warp around. You show the details too as well like the gloves and the ammo count on the guns. This is an immersive way to see this game, you seem pretty immersed which then translates to the viewer I think. Subscribed to watch more of this.

SO SO GOOD!! I wish they did an updated graphics VR version of the original Half Life and Blue Shift, where you could team up with Security or those Special Forces soldiers (till they got killed) vs. the aliens and Black Ops. In this format those maps and storyline would be amazing!

If you grab one of those headcrab hearts from that pot on the table next to the exit and you squeeze it, then you will get the "freshly squeezed" achievement
