LMAO, to be fair I also cried. Since I beat the game, all I can do is think about how amazing I found this game. Even at work, it's actually a problem lol

I teared up a bit when I beat it myself just a bit but it was 2 in the morning and nobody else was awake so I just sat on my couch in awe for a hour after the end credits scene processing what I just saw and heard, man that gman scene had me anxious then that credits scene. . . I just was not expecting it to go that way at all. I knew from screen shots near the first trailer that gman was in the game but had no idea that the ending would go that way.

If only the credits said "For Tyler"

This is a better cliff hanger. The last one was so open but didn’t point in as interesting directions. This one raised the stakes so much and made a better narrative thread. I think they don’t have to worry from a story perspective as long as they have good writers.

@@user-hk5fo1nm9h They will likely have Marc Laidlaw and Erik Wolpaw back for writing the next game, much like they did HL:A. The only reason HL:A's story succeeded at all was because of Marc and Erik, as explained in Tyler's latest stream.

The Timelords Sure, but it could be a decade or more if you mean HL3. Even if they started now it could be 7 years or more.

half life alyx isn't really a spinoff its the next part of the story even if its set before

@@aidengoodrich5974 no it is more or less a spinoff its a prequel which is much more safer than a sequel for valve at this point and its not in the eyes of gordon it tells its own separate story that only really connects to the main plot at the very end

Yeah it is good as long as they follow through with it. I'm not very confident about that even with "Valve 2.0" here. Also, we need HL: Barnie first; Russell has to be dead to explain why he wasn't in HL2. Unless HL3 is going to be VR & Russell gives the gloves to Gordon, which would just piss everyone off.

He were operating the borealis itself... And in this Half-Life we could see that Rusell is supplying the resistance along with eli vance.... I can't believe how Valve added the HEV suit sounds to the ending, and revealed Half-Life: 3... When I heard the HEV sounds on his stream, my jaw literally dropped and I got tears.. I can't even comprehend this has happened, and what's about to come... My God, thank you Valve!

I would like to see that too. I know Tyler usually just reports on factual/real world stuff, but I really want some lore videos on this from him. I know there are other channels for video game lore, but I'd like to see a Valve News Network take/compilation

The sentiment of every fan of Half-Life. Especially those of us in the same boat as Tyler who watched Episode 2's ending when we were really young in our formative years, falling in love with the story and the lore, and being sad every passing year for over a decade as E3 and other conferences passed with no news, Valve's radio silence, and only tiny whispers of stuff being worked on that we heard from Tyler. I think a lot of us gave up when Half-Life 2 won game of the decade and there was absolutely zero words about the future in their acceptance speech. I'm so glad Valve tentatively seems "back" now that Source 2 is in a workable state. HLA, Desk Job, CS2. They really seem like they're back in the swing of things like they were in their golden era where there's a new title every year or every other year. Here's to hoping Neon Prime sees the light of day (and it's really based around the combine) and that HLX (HL3) doesn't hit a brick wall. That trailer is going to DoS the internet when it's released, just due to the sheer number of people that'll be screaming "HL3 CONFIRMED". And there will be even more excitement if the rumor of non-vr play is true. I hope it supports both because HLA was the best game ive ever played (a huge part because it was VR but im sure a lot of it is just Valve clearly really cared about doing this right), but it was very overlooked due to VR adoption being low when it'd have won GOTY for sure. Rambling i know, i just think we're all excited Valve is back.

Yeah, his "streaming voice" is completly different. His streams don't have the same serious and professional tone and structure. I think that that is a nice change of pace and makes it really enjoyable.

Yeah he's a lot looser and funnier on his streams. VERY different from the tone on his RU-vid channel.

@@ripper9489 if you look at Eli's left palm you can see the Aperture logo softly tattooed on it. Also the tap-dance segment pretty much solidifies it.

in the ending scene, when gordon gets the crowbar, theres actually gman disappearing on the left, you cant see it in this video though.

honestly, I think they cancelled(for now) the adrian shepard campaign specifically for the making of half life 3, they already have the engine for it so i dont see why we should have to wait that long, maybe year or two

U don't need a "super" computer, the game is super playable with around a 1200$ budget pc. Gpu : Rx 5700 xt and a ryzen 5 3600 cpu and u got ur self a 90 fps high settings experience

It's not upside down, it's laterally inverted. So if you put a mirror underneath, you'd get the image of the lambda

they had it in the trailer too.... they've said in interviews what happens in the future solely depends on the reaction is given from the game, so they haven't made a decision already a couple of few days after release
