@@someguy1894 So far we know that he is an entity almost entirely unaffected by the laws of physics, time, and space. The most scary part is that he constantly refers to a group of entities calls his "employers" implying that not only is there a creature out there stronger than g-man, but a lot of them.

It's exactly how I would picture a all powerful being posing as a human, he got the looks and human speech but theirs something wrong..speaking in a slow and weird manner with a cold robotic tone of voice and its body being too stiff.
There's an excellent theory that he's actually a member of the combine advisor species who's hatched and chose the physical form of a human. With the intent of stopping the combine by selecting the most powerful entities/humans to stop them and deploying them when needed. Although this isn't out of kindness, theory is that the remainder of that species who aren't modified/slaves to the combine want to remain the universal top dogs, and we're just a means to do the job for them.
most certainly the most uncanny and mysterious character video game history will ever shelter ; we barely know anything about him and what he's truly capable of. sad that major theorists like matpat barely made a theory about the half life universe.

my headcanon is that the G-man's employers are the CIA and that the whole Combine invasion was a psyop to increase oil prices and increase dependency on oil in the long term.

now i've played all the half lifes (except the vr one) i can say, GMAN, is one of the best characters i've ever seen in a game, always mysterious, and the tone of his voice sometimes, can just, personally for me, makes me feel calmed, hearing his voice, sometimes. Edit: yooo 25 likes, thank yall.
G-Man is a type of guy that will help and at the same time he won’t like he is good but then sometimes he’s not his life is twisted cause he doesn’t know what to do with his powers but sometimes he has something to do when he wants

You know whats kinda ironic, Gordon Freeman is named "the only freeman" but every single game he starts in hes on a train or train tracks, which means that he has no choice which also means he isnt a freeman

I am confident he let himself get captured willingly. Afterall, he did state "You wouldnt need all this to imprison...Gordon Freeman". He saw the potental in Ms. Vance and decided that she could replace Mr. Freeman.
The GMAN speaks not as if English is unfamiliar to him, but language entirely. The words are dry and uncomfortable, as if forming the sounds alone are laborious. He is a being who is so far beyond our comprehension even his mannerisms make no sense, never-mind his motives. Whatever he is, whatever IT is, everyone in the Half Life universe should be deathly afraid of his mere presence.

we don't know who he is really but there is a possible hint in his name being G-man which was a slang term that meant "Government man." The slang term was used as far back as the late 1920s (specifically 1928) and was an Americans gangster term for an FBI agent. This could be a reference for him working for a government that controls the Entire world but this wouldn't really make any sense as it is hinted that he is not working for any form of government that works in controlling earth and the closest time we do see him working like an undercover agent for an organisation in controlling earth is in black mesa before the events of the resonance cascade.

Possibly the most mysterious and emotionless characters in all of video game history. Something tells me he only has "employers" to make sure he doesn't collapse the entirety of existence with a blink of an eye.
