I did some surfing in Half Moon Bay this past spring The town's Enchanting I will not surf this area during the winter though the Pacific ocean is insane enough here during spring/fall.. overall I loved half Moon Bay
Thanks so much for watching & for your comment! Yes the beaches in Northern California are so nice even though it's not warm like one might expect in California !
Martins Beach is really just a cove.. with no bathrooms or anything like that. Dont get me wrong, its really special, been there a few times. make sure you park off the highway, and walk the down to the beach. they charge 10 bucks to park near the water. it looks like a hippie commune vs a beach tourist spot. there are no signs, so make sure you google map it. make sure to bring some bubbly and cheese, enjoy the day
Great video, In laws used to live in Redwood city and would drive down through Half moon bay and take the Pch to Monterey bay. Looking forward to doing it again soon.
@@JamieBanksTravel Thanks, Wanting to go back to Monterey bay and go on a whale watching trip. Went 2.5 yrs ago on cruise through the inside passage in Alaska and also went whale watching and had a great time.
Half Moon Bay looks awesome! I should have gone there when I was out there in 2015. Thanks for the video, and awesome job! I may have to consider visiting there if I go to the Bay Area this spring!
Thanks Jamie. This video reminds me of my middle school bestie who moved there many decades ago. He used to call me and said how boring Half Moon Bay is and stuff (I never bothered to find out the truth about his complaint). Your video (both the scenery and layout of streets/stores) shows the opposite of his descriptions!
I'm glad I could show you what it is like! It is definitely a charming town. I could see how someone could find it slow to live there just because it's a small town, but it is so pretty it makes up for it ! Plus if you want more action you can always drive to San Francisco. Thanks for watching & commenting as always ! 😊
It's really cute there omg!! :D I haven't even visited San Fransisco yet, I can't believe myself. I've been in LA so many times, but never went to SF! Haha!
So much to see and explore in California. We’re on our travels in SE Asia and Australia for a few more years yet but a full on exploration of the states is definitely on our list to do after that :)
Jamie Banks i need to get to the west asap Im thinking lax/Anaheim/hollywood/santa monica/fe/malibu/vegas/roswell/ san fran I heard its mad expensive tho
Expensive to visit or live ? Or fly from the U.K.? Your spots are good but you're missing Northern California. But when most people think of stereotypical California they are thinking of Southern California. I would also add San Diego, not too far from LA! Oh oops I see San Fran on your list ... good call!
Isn't it? She apparently was someone who visited often in the 1930s and died mysteriously. She can still be seen there today in blue near the women's restroom!
