I remember walking across that bridge many times when i was a school kid, great views down the valley to the sea the miniature railway used to run under it.
Because it cost too much to repair, but if it had been in Redcar it would have been repaired, because they get all the fucking money down there. Also it was claimed it was a suicide attraction, my uncle did jump off it as a young man when his first and only girlfriend blew him out, but he landed in a tree top fell to the ground broke his collarbone, ribs, and punctured a lung, he never went on it again and never bothered with women or romance ever again, just became an alky. Let that be a lesson to us all. 😊
