I hope Christy doesn't let her movie star success go to her head. And what happens to the podcast if Christy leaves "Breakfast all day" to pursue the movie offers that now come flooding in?

Does this mean that Christy gets an IMDB credit for appearing in the documentary?

That’s awesome that you’re in the documentary, Christy! I’ll keep an eye out for you when I watch it. I like what you said about paradoxes and the level of control that she maintains over her image and what she projects to the world. I think it gives her an interesting edge and tenacity. Paradox… that’s a good descriptor the more I think about it. Because she is warm, but she’s also fierce.

Alonso's argument comparing Rita Hayworth and Bette Davis could not be more... absurd. Hayworth was good, but come on, Davis was a legend, and it wasn't because of "beauty" and "glamour." Davis simply had more talent. J-Lo doesn't get the nomination because she mainly does arguably terrible rom-coms, and simply because many stars don't like her, and the feelings are mutual. Don't forget J-Lo has bad-mouthed other actresses.

The one movie she should have gotten an Oscar nomination was for Selena. But back then Latinas would never be considered for a nomination. Rita Moreno was the only Latina at that time to win.

JLo is terrific but will not watch this due to she gets crooked politics as part of the narrative of her halftime show with Shakira. Because of Shakira I made sure to watch the Halftime performance. It was one of the best!!! Whining about cutting the time between the two, get over it JLo. Praying you get married soon to Ben now that you are back together again.

So much to say about the documentary, I liked to see her be very natural as you never get to see her like that.her hair was messy, she didn't have make up on, and i liked learning some of her back story. Other parts were just a contradiction. Wanting an Oscar and then saying she entertains for the people not accolades? That's kind of how I feel about J lo in general , she confuses me. I like her especially like her for what she did to break barriers with a different body type in Hollywood, but she lives in contradictions. I watched a clip on RU-vid where she was reading thirst tweets and she got super embarrassed eventhough they were fairly tame. she wouldn't read them and she's like "I have kids, I can't read these " which is all fine and well but in real life her shows are rvery sexual. she spreads her legs, she humps the floor, abd she was obviously very sexual in hustlers. And what about that music video booty? I don't understand how she can compartmentalize like that? she won't read a tame thirst tweet but she'll literally shake her naked butt around? Also as far as a documentary I was dying laughing that Alex Rodriguez was cut out of every scene ! and I know for a fact he was by her side the day of the Super Bowl. Now I actually can't stand Alex Rodriguez and I hated them together and I love Ben Affleck but I still think it was so funny to just edit him out like he didn't even exist. Part of the documentary I did like was seeing the work it takes and working on the choreography . That's amazing to me. But I have two children who are dancers so I understand the work it takes.

I think her South Park episode is the closest we'll ever get to a sincere depiction of who she really is.

Madonna is similarly rigourous. I watched the Superbowl Halftime show she did a bit back and I was like "f**k, i couldn't have done this workout" because of how intense and full on it was.
