My son and only child committed suicide in 2014 I play guitar , my son was my biggest fan , for ten years I couldn't even look at my guitars , I couldn't touch them , I can not even explain how deeply depressed I am , I resently picked up my guitar again , I am in a fight for my life , I seem to be slipping deeper into that awful black hole of dispare , and music seems to be the only thing keeping me going , I just want you to know that this song has done more to heal my soul than you will ever know , THANK YOU !

I just had my 2nd life now. I was miraculously saved from a Motorcycle accident yesterday, and luckily im not heavily injured. I know that God saved me. He protected me that moment. Hallelujah!

Oh my gosh! I’m glad you’re ok! I was saved today as well. A car came barreling down a canyon today where I was at the bottom and barely escaped. The guy was trying to kill himself. Miraculously he lived as well as me and the guy at the top of the canyon. God is good! 🙏🙏🙏

I told an elderly friend about this amazing singer and got him to watch the videos on his television as he does not own a computer. He is hooked on Lucy Thomas and with good cause. Lucy has brought me a softness that soothed me when I needed it. MY health has suffered after I had an A-Fib attack. 6 days in the ICU and intubated all that time left me paralyzed from the neck down for 3 months until I learned how to walk again. The day of my 65th birthday I came out of the rehab standing and weak but I was walking!!! Thank you lucy for singing to me every day and helping me. I love you so much! Jim from east Tennessee.

Having lived 65 years and listening to you makes it all worthwhile. When I first heard you sing I thought someone's playing a joke. When I realized it wasn't a joke I was flabbergasted. I am Iraq Veteran and trust me I used to drink way too much when I came back.. I am over 50 (not 80 years old yet😂), but my daughter who’s studying in Wales was playing this song in November and December last year while in induced coma (life support) fighting for my life in an ICU department in a Norwegian hospital. Luckily I made it through due to amazing health professionals but this song truly helped in my recovery process and I have played it consistently and countless times. My 8 y.o. cat has been diagnosed with metastatic cancer with no surgery possible, I prayed God for many days to give me the chance to say goodbye to her. Every day she is still here I say thanks God for giving me the chance of enjoying her company (she is pain free at the moment). I thank God because now i know he still gives me time to enjoy her a bit more. Its not being easy, but at least she is feeling more loved than ever🩷

Timothy, agree! Her tone, depth, range, vibrato, timbre, innotation, passion, emotion, and control are absolutely flawless! You can tell she puts an enormous amount of practice into her craft! She has been professionally and classically trained over the past 12 years and it shows! Her musical, "Rosie", scheduled to debut late next year, will be her crowning moment where the World will witness what we already know; she is the best solo performer that we have ever seen and heard!

It's nice to compliment people, but if you've read the Bible you'd know Heaven has so much more to offer. If she stays humble and doesn't go thinking she's better than others because of her voice, she might have an even better voice in Heaven. Those that are humble, not thinking they are better than others, have loving hearts and do actions based on right and love are gifted greatly in Heaven.

This note should go on the top of the comments. I learned it by accident but it is something that Lucy's fans will be very proud of. There are countless covers of the song “Hallelujah” but Lucy's rendition of the song was chosen to be part of a major motion picture called “On a wing and a prayer”. I know I speak for all of Lucy's fans when I say, I could not be more proud. Oh, and 34 million hits and counting. Good morning world. Its nice to see you waking up to this great talent.

That is exactly where I first heard the song. I had to replay that part of the movie 3 or 4 times as it was so powerful. The movie itself was awesome but this song just made it over the top. I had to look it up and see who did it. I am so glad I did. Awesomeness

stumbled on to this, I thought real singing was dead, could not believe my ears, had to listen a second time, wow, a big wow, I'm 79 and had not heard a more perfect voice, now I am hooked. Wish I was young so could hear her for 50-100 years.

Well, now, you have A LOT of catching up to do..........be prepared to venture down the Lucy Thomas 'rabbit hole' for 2 hours........guarantee it will be the BEST 2 hours of your life! Someone like Lucy comes around......maybe every 100 years or so! Some suggestions: "Memory", "Somewhere", "The Way We Were", "Bridge Over Troubled Water"; these 4 should get you started! If you want some other masterpieces that are originals, then I suggest those from her original musical, "Rosie", such as "Starlight", "Suddenly", and her most recent one, "We Can Change the World"! Oh, one warning: beware of the 'Lucy effect', LOL!

Wow! I am extremely critical when I hear singers attempt this song. They usually stray way off trying to make it their own. You dear lady are a gift to the song. Each word clearly pronounced, stayed true to the original and still put your own twists here and there. Leonard Cohen would be proud. Amazing young lady. Simply amazing.

She’s an great singer, but I think your analysis is wrong. If anything I’d say she adds more of her own influence then the vast majority of covers. Whether you like that or not is of course your opinion, but it’s certainly not staying true to the original.

I get emotional myself every time I read these comments about how Lucy's singing causes emotions to swell up inside of people who recently had a loved one pass. Don't fight it because It is a reminder of our shared humanity and how we can connect to our loved ones past and present and to one another. Just as a word of comfort, don't stop the tears, let them come and consider each tear drop a love drop in memory of your wife.💕
