FILM DESCRIPTION:
It's been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. Locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns to Haddonfield, Ill. -- but this time, she's ready for him.

lilmoris1 Exactly. And that's why it bugs me when people ask "If they're not brother and sister anymore, then why is he STILL coming after her?". He wasn't. Michael doesn't even realize that Laurie is still around until the last act of the movie. He was never out targeting her specifically. And it stands to reason that if their paths ever did cross again, he'd want to finish the job. She was the one who 'got away' and caused him to be captured and locked up for 40 years.

I love how throughout the entire film, it subverts the whole "Micheal is personally wanting to kill Laurie" thing the other sequels too. Heck, he doesn't even acknowledge her half the time, he just treats her like another victim. No grand death glare behind that mask, just "Oh someone else to gut. Great."

She's the one that got way. Nothing more, nothing less. Revenge against Laura is just a bonus, his goal is to just kill people. He isn't even looking for her, he just keeps ending up in the same place as her and figures "well I'm already here, might as well".

I kinda have a theory: Michael is pure evil and basically immortal so what I think is, Laurie is the same like Michael except she's the opposite. They're both immortal and they fight each other cause they are destined to. That's why Laurie never moved on to another city she stayed so she could stop the immortal evil herself.

Saw this movie in what our theatre calls the “ARQ” which I imagine is like a cinema in Denver but here one of our showrooms is huge with big old speakers, reclining seats, curved screen etc. Anyways my ex and I went and seen it right when it came out and the surround on top of the quality made me feel really immersed. It was a phenomenal experience, I grew up watching the original films and it was so incredible getting to experience one of these movies in the theatre, especially since I captured the essence of the original 2, which were my favorites next to h20. Getting to see this film in such a setting was amazing

There was two scenes in this movie that really threw me off when I saw it in theater. 1. When the girl gets her head smashed into the board, then knife through her neck. 2. When Michael smashes the doctors head/ creepy dude/big mustache/ evil/ help Michael/ Dr. Sartain. 3. When Michael got his ring and pinkie finger shot off by a shot gun.

I don’t know if anyone else noticed this, but when Michael was outside the house and punched the window glass to get at Laurie, it reminded me of the scene in Halloween Kills when Michael was at the house of that elderly couple, and punched through glass to get at the husband. I’m sure that wasn’t a coincidence and the director meant to do that to have the 2 scenes be similar.

That's nonsense. There's been more Halloween films featuring Michael than Laurie (naturally). He's been shot, burned, blinded, put into a coma, anything beyond any normal human's capacity.

The scariest part of this movie is from when Laurie says, "Michael's here. Get downstairs" to the scene where they all three confront him and trap him in the basement. Just imagine the level of fear knowing that a psychopathic killer is in your house, combined with your loved ones being there as well. The filmmakers did a really good job of capturing the emotional intensity and the tension of this entire movie, but especially in this finale.

KEYBEARER92 why would she presume the security door was closed and locked when Ray was outside? It was established at the beginning of the film that the security door was locked from the inside. She thought Ray somehow locked it from outside? If Ray could lock the door from outside, then Michael could unlock it from outside as well, thus making the security door pointless.

Somewhat Dweeb she saw through the glass and shut the regular door 🚪 well yeah that’s how security doors closed from within I mean he could’ve shut the security and not lock it and she could have even closed the security door and lock it and the other door too. But when panicking who knows what we’d do. Also I only meant it as an assumption 🤷🏽‍♂️

2:14 Yknow the mask looks more expressive here than other parts of the film. It always seem to have varieties of expressions in the film. Maybe because of the way it morphs. One moment it’s blank (when he first put it on at the mechanic place) the other it looks focused (here)
