Consider tracing those bats....I can see how a bunch of home made bats from an assortment of materials could be used. For thr onset, just trace a template or pattern onto "shirt weight" cardboard then cut out to preserve the shape of the bats; keep the templates with your Halloween decorations. Use the cardboard that comes with a case of soda pop, a boxed food item from the grocery shelf, etc... Or the plastic from a clamshell food or hardline item.
