I've been creating my own Haunted House since I was 8 years, but I've never shown it to anyone but my friends (except now on RU-vid). But it's nice to see that other people do exactly the same thing as me.

A lot of stuff to see... I'm glad you visited Monster Misfits (Vick) and Cobwebs and Candlesticks (Keith) booth... Those guys had the demon tiki torches and creepy corpse in the coffins among other things that you shown in your video, it was their first time as vendors at MHC. I've been following their channels for a while, even purchased products from them... I also have been long-time follower of: Stiltbeast Studios (have a few products from them as well), and Eduardo's Monster Tutorials, Distortions, of course your channel... Love it all, you make haunting fun 🙂 Thanks for making the experience available to us that didn't/couldn't attend.

I went to this show too. If you want to be blown away go to Transworld's Halloween and attractions show in missouri. Probably about 5 to 10 times bigger

@@WickedMakers I have to stay with spooky/silly so the little kids won’t be too scared, because I want them to be excited to come back the next year! Last year I had a yard full of skeletons having a movie night, eating popcorn (made from packing peanuts and tiny LED lights) and watching a projection of old dancing skeleton cartoons. I might do that again but I’m kinda feeling like the skeletons want to be wearing pirate outfits!

I actually struck up a conversation with the Mrs in a home haunter class just to realize I'm already a subscriber. I also saw the Mr crack the whip outside the Double tree. We later had a sing along with Indiana Jones. What fun! Small and wonderful haunt world we share. I'm definitely a bigger fan. Thank you for sharing your projects and knowledge.

The fabric used to simulate a mummy would be a great way to ... wait for it ... line the door of the life size portal in order to have the means to actually go thru it. vertical strips tacked at the top and bottom. it stretches with ease, would still reflect the image, and of course, give thru-port access. Just a thought.

The four masks of card suits(spades, clubs, hearts and diamonds) with the skull faces at the beginning reminded me so much of the "fate" / Ted's death from hellboy 2 the golden army by Guillermo del Toro. I love that costume especially the wings with eyes. Such an amazing visual. Like the pale man from Pan's Labyrinth, I think it was the same costume designer.

I used to go every year before they sold it to Transworld and moved it out of Columbus. It looks like they have settled on Chicago for it, I think when they first moved it they were in St Louis where Transworld has their main show. I may try to go sometime in its new home.

I'm not sure if you guys have been to this place yet or not, it's not a haunter con but a horror convention in the midwest. It's HorrorHound in Cincinati, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana and it will be coming around in March. It's a really cool con where people show off their masks, costumes, scary art, and you get to meet actors from horror movies; it's really cool!

Was this at McCormick Covention Center in Chicago? I attended a Graphic Art Expo in college there and it was awesome!:) Even in our 3 days (at the event, not the total trip) its impossible to visit every vendor, its so big!

@@WickedMakers Your DIY Pirate Treasure Chest would be great for the booth -- maybe you could even include different versions of it. Perhaps you could do a haunted version that incorporates some kind of motion sensing which causes the lid to lift and fall by 2-4 inches as people pass by. You could also include a spooky lighting effect or a gold/treasure reveal for a top compartment that also hides away any of the internal components. Since It's made of foam, maybe there's a speaker inside that plays a wood/metal clanking sound effect as the lid lifts and shuts or maybe there's some minor animatronic involved that causes the chest to lift and sway back and forth similar to the type of movement that people use for rocking tombstones. So many different cool modifications that you could do with the chest alone!

So glad I found a stockist here in Australia, they make such awesome alt clothing with generous sizing 😁 I now own five of their mesh type items, the 'poncho' top you have, a mesh open front cover up like a kaftan, a zip up hoodie, a babydoll dress and a mesh skirt. My fave layering pieces! Oh, also this show looked so awesome! I wish Halloween would pick up more down here even though its in the opposite season for us 🤣

Hear me out: Two costume ideas ... one a teamster tooth fairy where he's all dirty the tutu is torn, a mustard stain on his what was pink tank top and a mom tattoo smoking a cigar. The other idea Kira from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, but dressed closer to Patrick Bateman from the axe scene in American Psycho. EDIT BECAUSE OF ANOTHER IDEA: Kars from JJBA mashed up as either the goddess of vampires from Queen of the dammed (must do the dance to Change by the Deftones) OR same guy as the lady stripper with the snake from Dusk until Dawn ( must dance to the song from that scene.)

I didn't even know distortions unlimited was around during the 70s that's insane 40 years they've been around that's crazy 1978 it was right unless I heard it wrong cuz if it's 1978 wow that's that's a while crazy that they've been around for 40 years you learn something new everyday I guess.... I just did........... anyways that was cool to know.

Impressive creations, but....there are two approaches to Halloween: 1) ugly and grotesque (monsters perspective), or 2) sparkly and celebratory (Dia de Muertos perspective). I'm partial to the latter approach, rather than the former. I don't want to make or buy ugly decorations, not even for Halloween.

Definitely noticed a trend at this show more towards the gory stuff but there were still a lot of great non grotesque costumes and stuff for sure.
