It’s so funny how excited my seven year old gets if I drag him to tj maxx he always asks “can we smell the candles” DW is always on their game.

The nightmare before Christmas is the perfect movie for both Halloween and Christmas! One of my favourites and I think the best time to watch it is between oct-end of December!

I don't really like Halloween, but I'm excited for fall stuff.

I often question how I can be that excited shopping for spooky Halloween and fall treasures when it’s 100 damn degrees outside…..BUT with my home AC crankin, it feels like an early September day in my home state of WI, so it’s the best of both worlds and I don’t let it ruin my excitement for the season! HomeGoods is one of my happy weaknesses and where grandma goes to find all of the cool stuff for the grandkids. So much FUN!!! Thanks for taking us along, Kim!

Soooo I recommend buying the stuffed funky Turkey with legs now bc he will be gone when you want him and need some funky fun thanksgiving decor. And if you host thanksgiving is it at the table or a buffet style? That will define what kind of decor you want. If it’s a buffet then serving platters and some flowers/leafy arrangements and if it’s the table then tablescape it up. Bathrooms decent hand towels and soaps for fall or the glass pumpkins or wicker rather than arrangements. And a giant Turkey by your front door 😂! Fall wreaths in Florida are kinda weird unless it’s stuff that grows there. I loved the crescent moon door wreath for fall, the holding hands witches, a few things as you scanned. Some stuff is the old standard and some lends itself to both your kitchen witch aesthetic and also the wee witches and warlocks you are raising. I used to have a witch hat for each kid and pinned it up on the wall as a wall decor. Just pinned with push pins. I love those really gnarled looking brooms and broom parking here sign for front door. Maybe with a creepy witch near the Candy give away spot and some pumpkins and gourds. My mom used to hang a simple single cardboard skeleton on her door and gave away decent candy and I think that was it. It was too hot for pumpkins and they rotted so fast in south Florida. Def do it fun for now and save the formal fall and thanksgiving later in life. The le crueset tart pan for $20 is a deal if you will use it. Good for quiche and eggy dishes and serving style casseroles. I hope you got the black cat binks kitchen towels. Lol. Puffy paint towel “bit my stage of life” lolll. I love the idea of a charcuterie and skulls set up for Halloween. Loved the cute reusable bags. And I’m with you on kitchen towels actually needing to absorb and not just be flour sack or flat weave ones. “Autumn air smells like absolute garbage” lmao. Mushrooms are an actual fall thing here. They grow like crazy here in October in the forests in all colors including the red with white spots. But mushrooms have to be cool and not a pillow that looks like someone latch hooked the cover. Lol I’m loving red riding hood dog costume. Lol. My dog needs it! I have regrets you didn’t get the pack of ghost pillows from the other day’s post. You guys should host a Halloween party and do a haunted house walk thru in your garage.

Please you gotta get one of those beach themed pumpkins for your dining table...they are so cute.

I think you could decorate with pictures. All the pictures of your kids/family dressed up for trick or treating. Could be super cute! Especially if you buy some plain wood picture frames & let the kids decorate them. I always had my niece & nephew decorate the foam pumpkins when they were little. I still have them…write the year on the bottom. One day I’ll give them back when they have kids. You can never have enough candles. I just put all, well most of my candles together & I have a big bin full of them. My husband said enough but…my fav local candle maker just put out her fall/Halloween scents so I HAVE to get them!! Lol

Also have a newborn & 2 year old and am a new stay at home mom so finances and time are extremely limited. I don't decorate for Halloween, because we do "Trunk or Treat" at my church, where each of us kind of decorate a table. Love watching all the little kids who drop by! I do decorate for fall and Thanksgiving, but even though I host a huge Thanksgiving, I'm going to take decor down early and do Christmas right after Halloween, because in KY, all the leaves are gone by then anyway. Plus my grandchildren are small, and they love Christmas decor. Oh, and if it's any comfort, it's so hot here in KY right now we're about to melt.

I decorate with photos! Print out a family photo of costumes and use them as decor each year. You can add one each year and also remember all the years

I love to shop with you even though I only decorate for five seasons…… Spring, Summer, Fall, Christmas and Winter. …. It’s fun to see all the other stuff, my kids are grown, so I just decorate for me. Suggestion: Put the holiday soap dispensers away from year to year to re use and refill. So you aren’t using Valentines Day in August. I have a narrow bin in the back under the sinks for the out of season ones, they are always there ready to swap out. 🌻🌻🌻

Your homegoods is stocked! Holiday time used to be like that back home in Colorado but now living in south Texas everything sells so fast and we get limited inventory:( it’s so sad. I would die walking in with all that fall and spooky 👻 filled shelves!!!

I decorate for Fall until Sept 30th, and then Halloween, and then Christmas 😂 I put up whatever doesnt work with my spooky stuff, but a lot of my pumpkins and such fit in with my Halloween stuff.

Me and my husband are going to see Wicked for the 1st time here in San Antonio TX in December ... Tickets were very expensive though ... $400 total for balcony seats way up! It's hard to get into the fall/Halloween mood in the midst of a hot summer! I will need an addition on my house to store all the decorations they are trying to get us to buy! It's becoming more insane every year.

Haha each year to stores get earlier and earlier.... Autumn is my favorite but July 3rd hobby lobby was full of pumpkins and last week costco had Christmas stuff out....commmonnnn! But I am excited now and ready for FALL!!!
