I was just starting to worry about you the day before you posted this. So glad you are both feeling better. Thanks for showing your wonderful home, amazing displays and decor, and of course your doggos! Regarding the new pieces, I’m not worried about trick or treat lane taking a hiatus. It will be back even if it’s not at mid-year. My pocketbook and display space gets a rest from TOTL and the crypts. Where to display them all anyway. I’m excited that they have continued the Sleepy Hollow pieces and added some new fall pieces. I agree with you on the Hocus Pocus pieces, it’s not my cup of tea, but I think that the Sanderson house would make a nice mill piece in a Sleepy Hollow type display. Elvira’s church might fit in too. I think my wallet will be tested severely especially with the WDW mansion too.
Your home tour video popped up on my home page and I knew I had to see it. I was not expecting Halloween Village but glad it wa. I have only Christmas village items but this just may inspire me to start a collection of the Halloween. I watched some of your other videos with instruction on the set-up. thank you for those i may try some this year for my Christmas Village.
Hey Carl, I can sympathize with your sinus infection! I had a bad one that went into my right ear behind my eardrum for about 2 weeks! Your Halloween decor and home is beautiful! My main reason for commenting is what I notice about your Proxxon Hot Wire Table! When you are cutting styrofoam, I noticed that you use Painter's tape to hold in place the Shiftingland's Guide! I have since been doing the same thing for Christmas Village 2023 and it has been a tremendous help to assure a straight cut on larger styrofoam sheets! TEEHEE)~~~ and I just now have begun the carving and painting. FINALLY got it setup n the ink foam for a rough outline. SOOO MUCH to think about before you do each step. Where to add the lights.. where to hide the other lights... where to carve the stairs and the cords. What am I gonna do to tie this piece or section in... PHEWWW. BUT LOVE IT>>>>
What an amazing tour, the displays are beautiful, perfectly contained and not overcrowded so you can really appreciate each piece ❤ Coming from the UK I have never seen a house so HUGE! Except for on 'Real Housewives' I hope you own a Roomba 😂 Hope you and your wife feel much better soon ❤

Finally got a chance to watch this! What good pups! I'm probably gonna add to this comment as I watch haha. But I love the square on the trick or treat lane! It really gives it the small town look 😊 I do understand the disappointment you were talking about with the decorations. I always go all out but this year in a new house I just didn't have things figured out yet so I was a little disappointed by not managing to put together a little more. But hopefully next year will be better! You mentioned some fall pieces coming out? I'd love that. I like to keep the bit of fall village I have till Thanksgiving I just put away the Halloween stuff so if I could get hands on more fall stuff I'd be so happy! I always put those ambiance videos on as well my kids love the haunted ones and I'm excited to put on the fall ones now 😊! The stumps in Witch Hollow look amazing. The pergola looks amazing with those lights. I've been seeing them at Costco and was wondering how well those lights work. Thank you for making this home tour again! Carl, I’m glad to see you back. I hope you and your wife start feeling 100% better very soon. Your displays and home are beautiful! I did find what you use for your homemade trees at Michael’s in red and many other colors, including purple. I was going to purchase a bunch of the red ones for you! However, the quality of them now is awful. The stems & branches are green, you cannot bend or fluff up the branches to even come close to looking like a tree. There’s no wire in them. I did purchase some red & the orange with some brown floral tape. I figured, I could use 2 together and make those into one tree. I thought, it might look ok. It was a no go. I ended up returning them. It’s really a bummer that the quality doesn’t even come close to the ones you have. I remember, you did say the quality has come down. I’m sorry to tell you it’s even worse now. 😢 I found you on RU-vid in July, after I got my first LeMax piece. You’re SO right how addicting collecting can be. You inspired me so much! I ended up with more LeMax buildings & figurines, Dept. 56 pieces (2023 Crypt & Esmeralda’s Shoe Shop), and a bunch of LeMax & Dept.56 trees. I spent 3 months watching your videos, and learning so much. Thanks for everything. I’m looking forward to all of your future videos! Take care.
Have you considered investing in rechargeable batteries for the Amazon trees by the front entry area? They seem to only take a recharge a certain number of times before they start draining quickly, or not holding a charge (idk for sure), but I still got a couple years of use out of them & if you designate them solely for use with the trees, they should last you a long enough while to be cheaper in the long run than the equivalent cost of runtime for replacing regular batteries. Probably depends on how often/How long you keep them on for. But I'm guessing you're probably like me & like to turn everything on for at least a couple hours almost every night....I've also found a few battery operated faux pillar candles & fairy string lights that have a timer feature! They're pretty cool & last a LONG while on the timer! They'll turn on automatically every 12hrs from when you first set it to the feature. Might also be worth looking into ;) Happy Halloween!

I’ve been collecting about 20 years and your tutorials have taken me from displaying my pieces on inverted bowls under a black tablecloth to complete displays. So far I’ve completed the cemetery (Raven Hill) and am currently about done with the creepy circus. I’m having so much fun and am so grateful for your videos. Stay healthy and give Justice and Libby a scratch under the chin for me!

I share the same concerns with D56. They have cancelled the Christmas story line as well. I own roughly 85% of the collection and look forward to that like you do trick or treat lane. Not sure what’s happening at their HQ

After the home tour and your speaking of marriage, yes. Still keep it primarily Halloween if that’s your passion, but you may surprise yourself with what people tune into. The reason I watch is because of the neat and orderly layout of your villages (which frankly is lacking in most I see). I think you could offer good advice or inspire someone. Look how many folks have copied your trees, myself included! You have literally set the bar for villages. I would most definitely tune in for advice on other things.
Carl, Missed you man! But as is very wise, health is KEY, and as my Grandma always used to say, without your health, you don't have anything. I wrote an original composition for it, which lends some of its inspiration to a RU-vidr I follow, PDubs Arcade Loft, as we both love seasonal decorating, even in our home arcades, which is where my Halloween Village resides this year. My video evolved well past my original vision, which is something I've seen take place in your videos; one starts something one way and it takes on a life of its own. It's funny, I was never a big "Witch theme" guy, but seeing the absolute marvel of what you created in your collection made me see the theme with new eyes and wonder. I think I'm more drawn to the Lemax Witch pieces, but I did have a MUST HAVE for a Department 56 building, The Candy Cauldron. I was finally able to get one, but it had to be one of the hardest pieces to get, because of its bevy of small parts, either pre-attached or loose. Finding one at the right price with all of the parts included was a hard task, but I'm glad I was able to get one complete in box.
