Personally, I find the AOUAD house and Rebirth of the Matriach the scariest compared to the rest. But I loved the set designs for DIYU the most. Reminds me of Haw Par Villa but more intense and immersive.
My favourites The Rebirth of the Matriarch which was a peranakan theme, The Diyu - Descent to Hell which was a chinese folklore themed, and the Dead Man's Wharf which was something like eastern Pirates of Caribbean
To me, I think the hacker is scary because of how relevant it is to our world today. We are surrounded by AI and virtual reality, and this is showing it taking over.
the AOUAD house is a huge disappointment tbh. the scare actors are terrible can't act at all, the make up is terrible, how did they even get the IP with such shit standard? rest of the other houses were so much better in terms of quality. previous years' HHN with IP like stranger things did a lot better.
