YET I think that sometimes people see you wanting some thing and excited about it (people can sense excitement) and then they want it back but they really wouldn’t love it as much as you would-I think that was the case you’re in that garage sale with your ghost where you found the ceramic pumpkin, put on top of it..
My fave shelf has to be the one with the spooky trees!!! Those rubber skeletons could use a wire coiled into a base that extends for them to hang from it with some string... Harrison's handmade noisemaker is such a cute memento of his childhood, he knows you so well! Those modern blowmolds with the vintage kewpie like faces are amazing too! The wedding couple of skeletons look like day of the dead handmade sculptures they're in all the markets this time of the year in Mexico, growing up going to the market of the dead (Mercado de los muertos) in the "Parque Morelos" park in Guadalajara was one of the things I looked forward the most, the skull shaped lamps, all the Catrina skeletons and the bread and sugar skulls with their happy colors surrounded by hollowed paper bunting and all those spooky witches and pumpkins lurking in every stall, it all felt so magical and all was permeated with the smell of pumpkin boiled in molasses and sugar from the candy skulls... My parents would always get us a sugar skull with our name written on the forehead of the skull with icing and a small toy of our choosing and my sister always got those traditional day of the dead dolls made of papier mache that stink of the glue they are made with (It's a very distinctive non pleasant smell) and they all are wearing what looks like Lycra leotards with glitter painted on their bodies... XDDDD They're only sold during this time of the year and I don't really understand the relation to the day of the dead as they're just rustic dolls of chubby ladies very much alive, but they are very linked to day of the dead markets... If you guys ever go to Mexico during October you can experience one of these markets they are held in all cities and are a feast for the eyes and all senses as everything in Mexico is heavily linked to traditional foods and handcrafts and it is specially spooky and magical feeling to a child!
Thank you so much for telling me. I'm going to go look up a few videos and see if there are any. Is there anything Halloween going on around where you live now? I know in Europe it's not as popular but I am seeing more and more things popping up.
@@HollywoodHaunter Apart from dance parties, not really. I used to make a big display and decorate my house to the extreme, but the pandemic put a halt to that and this year I won't as I'm unemployed and can't afford to hand out candy and all the energy that goes into the lighting and stuff, so instead i will sit it over like the past 3 years... When I was actively doing it all my neighbors started decorating too but it also kinda got out of hand as schools were organizing parades in front of my house without asking me or any of the neighbors permission and that also bothered many of the people in the street despite none of us having anything to do with it... The year before the pandemic we had like 300 children knocking on our door and it was a bit overwheelming and quite costly as we gave everyone more than a simple piece of candy (we made small sachets with candy and tiny trinkets and we had bought enough trinkets to last us a couple of years or so we thought and we ran out halfway) the year prior we had way under 100 children coming... Nothing in the scale of you guys obviously but it was quite showy for Dutch standards...

Love all your collections. Maybe sometime you could show us what the different things do the way they move and what they look like when they light up. That would be fun to see.
You have such a great collection! I have several items shown here, I also love the vintage and lucky my mom kept everything! One of my favorites is my (and your) monkey with cymbals! That cauldron is so beautiful! The feet! That’s my favorite style cauldron!
That small cauldron was such a fun find. I hope I can fix the monkey and get him working again. When I put batteries in nothing happens, so I'll have to take it apart a bit and see if there is a loose connection. It would be so awesome to have it work!
Those little square holes in the upper center corner would be great for some of your tiny critters to be stashed in to peer out at you. This is great! I’ve been so looking forward to this video for months now!
@@HollywoodHaunter : NP! Worth the wait! Dollar Tree had a few cute Knick knacks I picked up. Walking wind up eyeball, jack o’lantern, mummy, and Frankenstein. About 2-3” tall Also, little tin pails: 3 pack, also 2-3” tall with Halloween designs.
Aww joy! I’m very happy to see your walk through and commentary, the stories are super fun. I have goals of items yet needing to have a nice space to arrange them. My husband is on board with selling Christmas. Yeaaa I wish I was collecting when I was younger yet couldn’t afford much. Ha ha I had no idea there was such an array of cool Halloween items. I connect with the real antique- vintage.
Your collection is incredible! Don't worry. You don't have a problem. I'm a doll collector and you should see my shelves! LOL! I'm sure Harrison has outgrown his Boo blanket. I'm in the process of making another one for your family. Happy Halloween!!!
One suggestion for display would be one of those kits where you can make a mold of your hand. Make one of each of you for different size objects! You could pain as "glow in the dark" or bloody..... Also using command strips for lightweight articles..... Loved this !
I admire your organization. Normally I do the same when I bring my collection out. But this year I displayed them randomly, since I put them in a new space. I still owe you guys a box of goodies!
When my son gets a little bit older I would love to have it sprinkled throughout the house a bit more and style it differently. It was easier this time for my brain to put it in groups 👻

My mom is a dealer at the Brass Armadillo here in Phoenix (we have two here 😁) and there was some GREAT Halloween goodies there this year. You have some terrific stuff! I have some of the same ceramics and blow molds.

I subscribed we’re re-organizing the items in the house and my husband told me yesterday that’s probably best if I put my Halloween items away until after Easter and then we will rearrange as I know this is probably the best plan I don’t want to. It’s making me sad, so I’m watching your video being nostalgic for Halloween. If you know that after Easter, it’s going to be full on mission organization Halloween like keeping items old are you around!
