CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Michael Myers (Dick Warlock) survives multiple bullets from Loomis (Donald Pleasence) only to kill the Marshall (John Zenda) and continue stalking Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis).
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The plot picks up exactly where the original left off: Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), shaken and injured from her battle with unkillable psycho Michael Myers, is taken to the Haddonfield Hospital for observation, while Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence) continues his desperate search for his monstrous patient. An interesting plot twist has Loomis' investigations revealing Michael's true identity (some of these sequences incorporate footage of young Michael originally shot for the television version of Halloween, which contained scenes hinting at the link between Michael and Laurie). After slashing his way through the town, Myers manages to track Laurie to the hospital, where the remainder of the action takes place. Numerous night-shift employees are slaughtered in a variety of gruesome ways before Loomis catches up with his quarry, leading to an explosive -- and seemingly conclusive -- confrontation. Pleasence is compelling as usual, but Curtis, who made an auspicious debut in the original, is sadly wasted here, her character reduced to shuffling half

You just gotta love Loomis’s reaction to Michael killing the cop, the pure terror of how he witnesses Michael come up from the floor with no hesitation after being shot several times once again, knowing he’s absolutely pure evil. I also love how Loomis was ready to shoot Michael again but knew it would be no use.

The reason Loomis looks absolutely in shock after the throat slash is because it originally was filmed with Michael grabbing the Marshal and getting up. Loomis shoots, but Michael uses him as a shield. That's the look of "I just shot a man". Carpenter had it reshot with the throat slash.

After how ridiculous some of Michael’s masks and movements got with certain sequels, this version of Michael is definitely chilling. And something about him slowly walking around a dimly lit empty hospital is pretty scary. Halloween 2 is underrated.

Who says Halloween 2 is bad? I know 3 is commonly referred to as bad, but 2 is far from bad. I love them all prior to the remakes. I even like the curse of, h20 and resurrection.

@@jimlahey3919 2 and 3 are the best in my opinion, I like them better than 1 even, especially 3 for trying something different and sticking to the way John Carpenter wanted the sequels as an anthology. The thorn trilogy was okay, H20 was decent enough, but Resurrection (directed by the same guy that did 2, ironically he did the best and worst sequels), Rob Zombie part 2 and Kills and Ends were unwatchable trash. The remake was okay and so was 2018 but nothing to write home about.

Halloween 2 had a great Halloween atmosphere and does what any reality murder or mass murders from media would do, expose it all over news which haunted haddonfield in this sequel. Love the media exploitation of a murder in this film.

I think it's GREAT. One of the better horror sequels there is. Upped the violence and creepiness factor imo. The hospital setting was an inspired choice

He shot him 6 times at the house and then shot him 5 times at the hospital. Laurie then shot him 2 times in the eyes. He took 13 bullets on 10/31/1978 and then was in a hospital room that burst into flames and he still kept coming.

I love how Marion embraces Laurie, and how people instinctually take comfort to the nearest individual during a moment of fear and distress. Imagine actually living in this moment, genuine terror, and how being embraced by someone just when it is needed gives us a sense of 'security.' Laurie didn't want Marion to leave when '(Doctor) Loomis' instructed her to radio the authorities. That feeling of maternal warmth means something to all of us.

I was 12 years old when I first knew Michael Myers, cause in the computer lab at school, me and my friend were talking about horror movies and he asked me if I knew Michael Myers and I'm like no. So when he showed me pictures of him, I was confused, cause I thought it was Jason for a second and he looked pretty scary.

Bobby Papoutsis Same here. Currently 23 and have been into this stuff since I was four or five. First one I saw, also my first horror movie, was H20 which had just come out on vhs. Asked my dad if I could watch the other ones and was pretty much hooked. Moved onto Jason which further cemented my love for slashers, then Leatherface, Chucky, Freddy, any other 80s slasher. Although OG Leatherface and baghead Jason scared the piss out of me, Michael was the only one to actually give me nightmares. Good times.

This is the best portrayal of Michael Myers in any of the movies. This scene at the end is the best part of the whole film. And the scariest too, - starting at the point where he kills the Marshall . . . his look - watch him as he rises, along with the music is so intense. Brilliantly done!

Loomis shot him a total of 9 times in 1 night and that still didn't stop Michael. As the night went on, Michael became more and more evil which would probably explain why he went from fast paced walking in part 1 to slow and steady walking in part 2.

Michael never really ever wanted to kill Loomis though. He more so looked at him as a mere obstacle in his path hence why he only gave Loomis 1 non fatal jab with the scalpel and carried on towards Laurie in the end of this movie.
