Once I visited Mazatlan during the week of Día de los Muertos and the decorated altars are beautiful. We went through the countryside of Sinaloa on the day after, November 3rd, we saw cemeteries drenched in flowers so beautiful. If I had to pick I would choose the Mexican traditions. They have more soul. I like the idea of making it all last for three days, Halloween, All Saints Day, Dia de los Muertos!!

i just got back from a dia de los muertos celebration in jocotepec, jalisco. this was my first time having the holiday in Mexico. the flowers, the altars, they were all so majestic. you don't experience any of the real thing outside of mexico/guatemala.

Also I like how they said they "roasted" Ramon for being a marshmallow
