Happy Halloween everyone! Once again we're sharing a little tour of our Halloween Yard Haunt. 2020 was a weird year. Besides all the stuff everyone's dealing with this year, on top of that we had high winds and hail while trying to set up our yard for the trick or treaters this year. We almost just called it off, but we love Halloween so much, we just had to try to get a video up for you guys. It's practically a tradition at this point. So we tried to find any break we could in the weather to try to film something.
This year's Halloween yard haunt had our usual staples of skeletons and a pumpkins and the yearly hits like Freddy and Jason in the windows, the greeting reaper, the screaming picture, and all the lights. We added a few more animal and creature style skeletons but the two new biggest draws from the kids were the jumping spider and our Giant Pumpkin creature. They were absolutely in love with them. I love seeing people lined up to take pictures in front of our house and see all the new things every year. If only more people went all in on Halloween.
In this video, we'll go through a day time walk through so you can see everything clearly like we do every year and then a quick night time walkthrough with everything all lit up. The lights, the movements, the gravestones, the spooky blues, greens and purples shining on all the skeletons and ghosts. It's all just so much more fun to see at night (which is probably why we get so many trick or treaters towards the end of the night.
Despite the wind, the hail, and every other issue that is the year of 2020, we still managed to get everything set up and we had some trick or treaters brave the weather and come enjoy it this year, exploring the yard and getting plenty of treats from us. (We're not stingy, your kid is going home LOADED with treats!)
We absolutely love Halloween and we hope this makes you feel like you were trick or treating at our house yourself and were able to join in the Halloween fun with us. Have a safe and happy Halloween filled with frights and LOTS of candy everyone!
