I just watched this again and just noticed that the spirits of the Vessels who look at the Knight at 3:47 and 3:50 only appear after the Knight uses the Mothwing Cloak and the Monarch Wings that they got from them. It’s like they’re happy and proud that their abilities were used to help.

I was watching this at like 4 a.m and i was like "hey this is pretty cool" and then realized that this is in fact NOT made by an entire anime studio, but it's just made by ONE PERSON. THIS IS FUCKING INCREDIBLE

love the 2:36 moment where Hornet just casually feeds midwife because that usually ends up being the only midwife speaks about with the knight lmao.

This is one of the best hollow knight animations I've ever seen The final scenes involving the radiance fight are all so good??? The flash backs to the knights climb in the abyss, the text that appears during the fight, and the ghosts of the vessels the knight got their abilities from appearing with them as they climbed are all so so good. You've absolutely outdone yourself and it's amazing.

3:45 made me feel the pure hype of that final climb all over again. Seeing the shades of fallen vessels rising up with you as you race to a terrified Radiance left me shaking. Never has a game made me feel like that before to such an extent, and I highly doubt a game will match that intensity for a long time. Amazing stuff.

I absolutely adore this, especially quirrel and monomon at 2:30 is so sweet

“Obtain the mind acquire the will no longer a vessel no longer the hollow knight” gave me chills. I am not sure who it was referred to, but the beautiful thing about this game is that whenever any dialogue pops up it can be referred to anything/ anyone in the game

Things I love about this: 0:00 - the whole fuckin thing. 1:11 - the cracked mask detail, follows the death animation’s split. 1:18 - the whole choreography with the beast master is awesome. 1:34 - this transition is 😙🤌 2:00 - Cloth and the Knight fighting the Traitor Lord together was fun, even before it was animated like this! 2:12 - angry boi Zote. 2:20 - this dream nail sequence was hella gud. 2:31 - the Quirrel flashback was a really nice touch that I didn’t know I needed. 2:34 - Myla, the one we couldn’t protec. 3:07 - this whole walking shot dedicated to the DLC. 3:21 - Quirrel has always deserved to look this badass. 3:23 - GIT GUD 3:25 - the entire fight with the Hollow Knight and Radiance is amazing. 3:43 - Break the cycle. You are the Vessel, free of fate. ~chills~ 3:47 - the two failed vessels appearing to help with their respective item contributions was an awesome detail. 3:57 - this transition was Ascended. 4:10 - the whole fuckin thing.

Why did the last part feel so emotional to me… I know too much lore

0:55 because the animation follows the progression of the game, this shot implies the Knight pulled off some ridiculous skips in order to reach Hallownest’s Crown super early. I know that wasn’t the intention but I think it’s funny

This is my favorite Hollow Knight animation. I think your version of the story is like how I saw the story too. The Vessel that we play as is not empty, and the other Vessels had emotions too. The Vessel we play as overcomes their fate and overcomes their past. I think your animation shows that very well. This made me very emotional. I really love the ending where all of the Vessel’s siblings come out and support them when they fight the Radiance!

Absolutely amazing! There are a lot of great HK animations out there, but this takes the cake! Everything about it is beautiful, and each character has their own part to play! I cannot BELIEVE more people haven't seen this. Just. WOW! Edit: wait it just came out lol. But still! Cannot get enough of this!

This is so breathtaking??? I’ve never seen an animation that captured the actually feeling of this game as well as this does. I’ve watched this more times than I can count.

This is absolutely stunning, ever part is so intricate and gorgeous. The angles are so dynamic, the movement so smooth, the pacing and transitions are perfect. Truly one of the best animations I've ever seen, I hope it gains more traction.

That climb in 3:45 was so damn well done that it gives me chills everytime i see it, i have finished HK two weeks ago and it was one of the best (and most depressing) experiences i've ever enjoyed in a game, now i saw this masterpiece and cannot be more happy for how good is it :)/

Застрял на четвёртом. Я фанат и буду ждать Silksong столько сколько потребуется. Даже если я не смогу поиграть в него неважно почему я буду засматривать ролики про этот мир жуков в масках. I said this once, and I’ll say it again, a hollow knight show would be genuinely awesome, the story, the fights, the visuals, EVERYTHING would just WORK!!! And this little animation proves it’d be awesome.

Words cannot say how much I love this!, BUT! I will say, I love the Scene with Zote, the way he moves is so smooth for some reason, and Ghost just cleaning/sharpening his nail in response is funny to me.

I don't like to watch anime, but this is simply a masterpiece, the animation, the music, the colors, it's a masterpiece that represents the beauty of hollow knight.

THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!! The part during the ascent when the ghosts of the vessels accompany their climb to the top made me emotional, and the parallels between the abyss climb and the radiance fight are so well done! I absolutely love this animation and you embodied the spirit of the game so well!

This is an AMAZING animation that sums up Hollow knight perfectly, it reminds me of my first playthrough and how it felt to discover all the amazing lore and story scattered through Hallownest, and the lyrics are wonderful, everything about this video is beautifully made and has so much care put into it. I literally dont have enough words to describe how much joy comes from watching this. You're an amazing animator and creator!

This is an interesting game and honestly the animation is so smooth that it actually surprise me and I haven't been surprised in a long time.

This is criminally underrated, it needs more recognizion, it makes me want to go back to my hollow knight masochist phase! All the memories flooding while watching this, i can't express how much i love it and for that you deserve more respect for your hard work!

This further cements in my mind the idea that The Knight is one the most badass characters in gaming. They’re a tiny bug who nobody knows that appears from who-the-hell-knows-where, climbs their way to the top, transcends all their foes, and then kills a god for the good of the people who they only just met.

I LOVE the way you portray the siblings and the void in this animation. It’s absolutely stunning. And the little moments, like zote blabbing off in a cage or that bit where sly gives the knight the nailmaster charm were just brilliant. That was extremely impressive!

This is so good that i put a like halfway through, then at the end i took it out just to put it again. This is seriously some next level animation, you managed to tell the story in such a good way, and still have room for little things that wheren't in the game, but still give flavour (like the scene with the king and the citizens), or that where, but don't affect the main story (like the Godseeker, Grimmchild, and even Cloth helping the Knight against the Traitor Lord). You even managed to show emotions in a good way, and the transitions were smooth af. This is truly an awesome animation.

I love how Ellina is at the very start anticipating recording the secrets of this kingdom, all the characters that played part in its story and the wondrous journey of the vessel who saved it after too long

That was incredible! I think my favorite part is the contrast and parallel between the Knight's desperate, ragged climb from the abyss, and its triumphant, glorious quest to destroy the foe it was created to merely contain. One ascent a thwarted attempt to gain a life and purpose, the other a successful attempt to transcend that purpose, even at the cost of its life.

I wish I had words for how much I loved literally every part of this. It’s all so so good! The fact that the knight’s eyes don’t ever really move, just all the detail and references in the animation to some of the small things in the game, even some implied stuff. It’s just…so so good. I can't believe I took four weeks to find this THIS IS SOOOO COOOL Just watching this made me go back in time to every single moment in my hollow knight playthrough!! The animation is smooth, but simple, adds some type of sweet flavour to the mix The song is a banger, fits the animation The little extra details like Quirrel's past, Zote getting angry and being expressive about it (in the game he just....talks), the extra words at the end really impacted me, really cool detail. Overall, AMAZING job 10/10 grubs
