A couple of months ago we did the Halo 2 ODST Edition game movie, which is Halo 2, Halo 3: ODST and some trailers mixed together in one video. Here's the updated version with Halo 2 Anniversary visuals. Halo 3 ODST takes place parallel to the events of Halo 2. When the Prophet of Regret jumps to slipspace in New Mombasa, ODST's we're dropping into the city to help the defense. The timelines aren't perfectly aligned, but I mixed them together the best I could to make it feel cinematic. This video is more for fans who want to see how the timelines line up. If the stories intersected more then it would make for an amazing narrative. But the stories only really intersect in New Mombasa. Either way, I think it still makes for a cool vid. What Kaleb said was what we all though it was called back then. Nowadays it's is known as 'The Politics & The Life', part of the recent King Arthur movie Soundtrack. Odd place, yes but this is the full and proper tune as heard in 'We are ODST', and after 8 years of waiting and working with fan-made ones, we can FINALLY get the proper tune! This is it guys, the last updated version of a Halo game movie we've done. The only last thing to follow is the entire Halo Saga in one vid! That should be coming REAL SOON. We wanted to post it today, but we're having some rendering issues, as you can imagine with an 11 hour video..... It's done, we just need to get it to render. Expect it in the next couple of days. We'll still do Halo vids of course, but as far as game movies this should be the last one until new games come out. Enjoy!

I feel ya. Evrytime i see your videos and its one around 1-3h or more I wonder how long loading time it takes for the video to get ready. Not only that It most have taken AGES to film and cut the film footage so that is looks good and specking of almost all of your videos are on high quality setup. It takes a considerable amount of time to move through slipspace. For instance, Reach ends on August 30th, yet the Pillar of Autumn doesn't arrive at Halo until September 19th.

***** The game starts with him asleep in the pod. The cutscene itself shows about a minute or so before they drop. He's right, the scene should be played at the same time as the scarab dropping, or just before.

Not true. In the first cutscene of ODST, you can see the ship that Master Chief was on in halo to go into slipspace along with the corvette.

TJ Hailey Its a Supercarrier, not a Corvette. The time between the Scarab being destroyed and them escaping through slipspace would have been maybe a minute at the most, considering the urgency in Keyes' voice. The way THIS video portrays it would suggest that the Chief managed to travel across the entire city chasing that Scarab in the same timeframe, as well as getting aboard the Pelican and entering In-Amberclad as it gave chase. Now I don't care how good of a speedrunner you are, Outskirts and Metropolis take more than 5 minutes to complete. Besides, the video shows the Rookie in his pod at the beginning of the Outskirts mission, and THEN the pod closing at the end of the missions (5 minutes after cutting out the vast majority of gameplay). I'm pretty sure the Rookie wasn't sat in his pod for the best part of an hour waiting for the Chief to conveniently make the Covenant piss their pants. HENCE OP is right, the ODST intro should have started around the same time the Scarab was destroyed. It doesn't sync up otherwise.

CoolMachinimaGuy haha yeah it's an awesome moment. It's the reason I think the video works. It actually flowed really well together. The toughest part was juggling to the songs songs without making awkward making it sound awkward when it was jumping back from one scene to the next.

+TheColonelAngel I may be mistaken, but the "Believe" trailers are the live-action documentary of two marine veterans talking about the Master Chief? And also the giant model of a battle that they fought in? Its not considered canon because Microsoft made it, supposedly, without consulting Bungie about the lore. They wanted to create an epic battle, but they described it as being part of the battle for Earth, which completely goes against the timeline, since the only Earth-battle that Chief took part in were Mombasa and Voi, neither of which we see him get captured in... also, its been established that the Chief has never earned the Prisoner of War medal, which means he's never been captured, hence that battle never occurred. More interestingly, Chief was technically held as a prisoner by the Gravemind in Halo 2... but that's kind of irrelevant.

Its strange how when the Carrier jumped, in Halo 2 anniversary it slowly entered the portal, but in Halo 3 odst, it jumped instantly, anyways...GREAT VIDEO! I loved the part when the carrier jumped, the explosion shattered the buildings and civilian vehicles! I also like how you combined both game cutscenes!

Gilly Monster Halo 2 didn't take place in less than a day. The slipspace jump and the assassination of the Heretic Leader took place on October 20-21 2552. The events from Delta Halo onward take place on November 2-3.

Really well done. I remember playing Halo 2 and mixing this with the Halo 3 storyline gave it an unique spin. Combined with the fan made scenes ( which were amazing ), I really really liked this.

But just to be clear we didn't make anything, we just mixed all the cutscenes, trailers and our gameplay together, but everything here is from Bungie's games and trailers. So I'm guessing that the remade halo movie will include Halo wars cutscenes,halo reach directors cut, Halo CEA game movie,Halo 2 odst, halo 3, halo Spartan assault, halo 4 promethean edition, halo 2 anniversary prologue and epilogue. You should also include the halo 5 teaser before the h2a prologue and halo e3 2014 trailer after the h2a epilogue.

I really like the transitioning work especially between the two cutscenes where the carrier jumps out of the city. It was blended perfectly. My only complaint about Halo 2 Anniversary's cutscenes is the lighting.The lighting on the BLUR cutscenes looks a bit JJ Abramsy as it were but it isn't as bad as Star Trek Into Darkness' were. But that's minor.

31:10 You know I actually wonder who those other pods are supposed to be on the right because the squad is portrayed as the only ones who survived the drop because they diverted course and didn't get hit as bad but in a lot of the commercials you can see that a decent number of pods also diverted with them.
