This is the final part of the High Charity Suite from the Halo 2 soundtrack. It only plays once, and is one of my personal favorites. I've been meaning to do this one for a long, long time. Hope you enjoy.

Autismo 2 years late but to clear things up Master Chief actually did try and kill Truth in the 2 weeks between Halo 2 and Halo 3. But the assassination was foiled by a godamn jackal sniper.
@@unrulybot1352 All Bungies campaigns are repeatable. I have The Master Chief Collection on PC and each time one Halo was released i finished the campaign that night haha, i can´t say the same about Halo 4.

I love Truth's voice on the intercom during this mission. I got hyped when he talked to the Gravemind, and everyone in High Charity could just casually hear those two speak. Too bad Michael Wincott didn't return for Halo 3. :(

Apparently this is a coincidence - Marty claims to have never heard "Leela" before composing this track. So it appears it was not an intentional Marathon homage, just a similar chord progression.
This track was actually made for an insurance company long before Halo was even a thing. It was written by Marty and Mike, and they re-used it later for Halo 2 (using different samples)
The music is designed to make you feel energized so you are pumped up and willing to go against the flood and covenant threat. Why do you think you are so pumped thought this mission? This goes for ALL halo songs. Except Halo 4 and 5 of course... That composer just doesn't know how to replicate this. Honestly, Irecommend trying to listen to the full Halo 2 OST while doing... really anything... and you can see how much faster you get things done or how much better you get things done.
1, 2, and 3 were all masterpieces. As a kid, 3 was my favorite. Looking back though, Halo 2 is probably one of the greatest console games ever made. Freaking 10/10 in every way!
If you are able to actually look at the skybox for the level Cortana on Halo 3, believe it or not, it's the rest of high charity. It's the skybox you see in halo2 except without the forerunner ship and it's infected.

Which made it worse that the flood came in on the most perfect time ever, especially when it’s stated in the book and lore that they could have easily dealt with the flood, if it weren’t for the civil war
This is one of those soundtracks that very rarely can make me cry. It always did ever since I was a child and when I do it brings me back to those times

I remember when I first started to actually listen to the Halo 2 soundtrack about three years ago in high school when I kept reading Halo novels one after the other with Marty's music in the background. Man did I love working to High Charity in the background. Especially this part, it was my personal favorite. Whenever this came up, I head to stop what I was doing and just listen to the last couple minutes, being absolutely blown away by it. I always wished it were longer, and now I finally found it. This is why the internet is amazing; it's a haven for unrecognized gems. I can imagine these videos/clips still being in the archives 50 or 100 years from now and me showing my family/descendants musical relics like these, haha
+CPLTarun That was the plan. I wanted something like this since 2005, so I learned how and did it myself. (It HAD to have Truth's quote in the beginning to start, just like the High Charity level).
Man, i still can't get over the fact that High Charity is basically a whole alien metropolis (Of which we only ever see a tiny fraction of) Probably the closest thing Halo has to compare to Coruscant from Star Wars It's a shame High Charity was overrun by the flood though

We need a horror game where we play as a marine or Elite trying to escape High Charity while it’s been completely consumed by the flood, now that would be a horror game, no weapons either. Maybe you run into the rare marine or covenant member. But most of the game is you running/hiding from The Flood
Halo 2 and 3 are basically one arc with no break. In terms of story halo 3 feeds on the ground work provided by halo 2. Thats why for me halo 2 will always be the better campaign. Not that halo 3 is bad but i would have liked to play as an elite during campaign instead of having the arbiter following around like a bitch.
the sacred icon has been found, with it our path is clear, our entery to the divined beyond is garantede, the great journey is nai and nothing not even call of duty can stop it
I love this song, I love the level, and especially the song AND level! No seriously, this song helped make this one of my favorite levels. I always loved playing the level and listening for it!
I love this one and "Epilogue" which was the original credit song at the very end of Halo 2. It had that awesome guitar riff at the beginning and it gives me chills listening to it. This is some great work, keep it up!

Troopertroll good on you, man! i'm hooked to this theme myself. every time i did the final Master Chief level on Halo 2 i'd sit back and listen to this song. it's a wonderful piece. i feel that it's kind of like what Halo 4 sounds like. xD
Completely unrelated, but I love the double meaning when Truth says, “No enemy has ever withstood our might. The Flood too, shall fail.” Like Humanity has already been defeated when one single human is currently inside your capital absolutely fucking shit up. Oh and by the way, he’s coming for your ass.
Ugh.. what a joke the 343 studios Halo lore is... beset apon us by books instead of as source material for real games. Only halo CE to halo reach matter in all honesty.
I just hope in halo infinite they do a flash back to when chief was in the ship (or i might be confused somehow, correct me if im wrong for thinking that he was on a piece of the ship when he crashed into the forest in halo 3)
Bungee accidentally used his likeness in an ad and they had only gotten the OG actor due to an exclusive deal where he could not be used in an ad… after that breach he refused to work he thought bungle did it on purpose like some corporate rug pulll but it was just bungee making something last minute and not checking it

I don't think I still have those. I had to isolate them from in-game audio, so there's other sound going on there, I've just made it as mute as I could without affecting the voice.

Que belleza. Me deleito escuchando esto e ir haciendo mis trabajos de escuela. El mejor Halo sin dudas. Aun sigo pensando el jugador donde enfoco su vista en el juego para que sonara esta gran pieza musical.
