Halo 3 - Brainpan Achievement Guide - All 6 Hidden MP Skulls - Title Update 2

This method for Sandbox has been patched, at least on console. They applied distance limitations between the Oracle(Forge Mode) and objects, as well as different physics in phasing/fixed objects. The easiest way in my opinion for the Sandbox Skull, is to simply block the opposite Guardian Tower, the tower far and directly behind you, it’s the only one the fires from behind you, while trying to go out towards the skull. If you block it with anything(I use Large Shield Doors) just set their physics to Fixed, put them right in front of the light at the top of the tower where it fires from, and blam-o! You’ve blocked the entire tower from hitting you anywhere on the map. That is assuming a different tower doesn’t fire at you. Took me less than a minute to block the top of the tower though, and then I was literally able to just fly out there and walk around and grab the skull.

Back in the past I have seen a person who made a very clever way to get the Sand Box Skull. He put tunnels on the ground and made a pattern to get to it as the Chief. This was back in 2008 I think it was very cleaver.

On Sandbox, I flew over in Monitor mode and got it...no need for the trip mines.

for anyone whos wondering I did this in 2019 on halo 3 xbox 360 just now and it def works if your confused why u didn't get the brain pan achievement on 360 that's bc it has a diff name the achievements 360 name is 2 for 50g or at least thats what it said for me also I've seen alot of people saying it doesn't work on xbox one in 2019 but for that I'm not sure although I do have an xbox one and MCC i just dont have it installed and I havent tried it on mcc halo 3 xbox one.

I managed to get the forge master and world traveler achievement while doing this!!!

Easiest way to get the skull in Sandbox is to crank up the damage resistance, shield multiplier and player speed. Once in the map go in edit mode and spawn an invincibility equipment near the borders where the guardians are about to fire. Go back to player mode and use the invincibility to reach the skull.

Just FYI the skulls can be moved with explosives (rockets, grenades) so those ones in tight areas can be shot out usually.

An easier why that I did it is to do the map glitch by overloading the map with trip mines by setting the respawn time minimum to 1 and the respawn rate to 10 and doing that spawns a lot of trip mines to the point were everything despawns and drive a warthog to the map

The Longshore skull had me scared lol I had to sit there with it for about 2 minutes before it popped

Also I just figured this out, for the world traveler achievements where you play on 8 maps for each game you can go into custom games or forge end the game and it counts....you don't need to do matchmaking

I didn't need to use that box in sandbox, I just went into forge and floated over there, unforged and grabbed the skull, simple as that. I think on the original halo 3 I remember having to do something like that because of the guns but it was super easy on mcc.

2019 im playing on an old xbox 360 i got 25g on all skulls except the last two i got "2 for 50g" achievement

I just chucked a teleporter all the way over there. You can actually get really far, if not far enough just as the oracle flying up and down dodging the lasers, i almost reached it accidentally without even trying. I managed to place a teleporter right on it anyway so just put another one then bam easy.

As of today 24 September 2020 some achievements for steam are bugged. You will get them on the xbox gamer bar but not on steam

Half the achievements never popped. Hope they do later

On sandbox there weren't any turrets for me.

I got all 6 but I don't have brainpain

So on the map sandbox, I pick up the skull but I'm not getting the achievement. Any help ?

What's weird is on sandbox if you just use tubecorner and stay on the ground while moving the towers won't react in fact I went into Spartan mode and somehow I'm fine

so easier way to do the citadel one is to just use a grav lift i tried to do the falling trick it took 10 minutes and the grav lift was just a minute

oh cmon now you've ruined the fun of obtaining the sandbox skull lol. I remember me and my buddy would ridiculously try to build our way across the map to get the skull haha. Great memories though!

the sandbox strat that u showed doesnt work for me whenever you go in forge mode to try and stay inside the tube corner it tps we out of the tube corner so im not inside of it. Use trip mine strat wayyyyy easier.
