Let's just say that the punch was very much necessary in order to accomplish absolute perfection.
What I find incredible is that every single tiny little detail is 100% planned, no more, no less than what is necessary, the clinical precision is mind blowing, awesome run bro 👌👌
@@cheekymonkey666 Hes using the edges on certain surfaces that allows him to jump that high and long, its super hard to do properly it requires perfect timing

Been playing this game since 07 and never knew you could fly on the backs of the drones at the end of the second mission. That straight up blew my mind
Watching someone this good is like how good the Spartans are in the books. Dispatching entire squads of covenant with one grenade, gravity hammer swing or just a couple swift punches. Speedrunners are awesome
Zoo I just want to say this and your H2 speedruns are the first speedruns I've ever seen and it has been an absolute joy. I can't imagine the hard work that went into this. Thank you so much for these masterpieces
Three months since this run was completed and no one has come to take it yet!!! Gotta say its super damn impressive to come and WR by 1 full minute!!! All that with a 10 second loss on the warthog flipping during the warthog run, absolutely insane pace, sub 1 :10 will be done by Zoo for sure!

I haven’t watched a halo 3 speedrun in a long time but once I heard that you got the legendary WR I had to check it out. Always loved your montages and I’m happy that you are doing so well in speedrunning. :)
Halo was one of the first video games I'd ever played a little after it came out, I played it in like kindergarten, and I never knew you could board the AA wraith, when you kill the guy inside, they always exploded for me, that's an awesome strat
Well you can board it but there's something to it. You can only board it on the same frame the pilot dies, so you have to stand in a specific spot slightly above where you avoid the boarding to nade/punch the wraith. Before you do the headshot on the brute you need to hold the boarding action and then shoot so chief gets in on that frame. The moment you leave the wraith or don't that strat, it will just explode without a driver
Can’t believe I missed a new WR by 2 months. Incredible work! Impressed by how you manage to pull off a very aggressive style. Also the number of minor mess-ups was so low - you’re on like robot tier, like wow!

This is ART! As a 35 year old man that grew up on Halo in his teenage years, I can appreciate the time that went into perfecting every second of these Halo Speedruns.
I've seen the current WR holder as of 18/10/2023 and although both of you have some incredible skill, this is my much-preferred run. Everything is executed to perfection, Fluid movement and shots taken are all next level. You should be super proud of this man. I keep finding myself coming back to this run for reference when trying to beat my PB
Dude is master chief in the books…but seriously mind blowing the way he’s blowing through these levels that took me so long to complete on legendary and on top of all of that, he’s doing with with a controller…how…I can’t even comprehend how he is this good
27:50 WOW 28:36 I never realized how much gravity hammer boosting you have to do throughout this level. It's incredible the skips you can perform and not waste time. Even using these tricks for casual gamers is amazing.
First of all, well done and mad respect for the skill and time it takes to do this. Secondly, I feel like this is what Master Chief (or any spartan for that matter) would actually look like during the combat parts. And lastly, shout out to that poor marine who died for the cause so you could get to that second door quicker in crows nest. You were a true hero 🫡 6:50
I've played the crap out of Halo 3 on Legendary from start to finish. Once on Legendary with FOG, MYTHIC & TOUGH LUCK SKULLS activated (I died a lot on THE ARK, lol, almost gave up, but I eventually beat it). A lot of these tricks I know & have used in my playthroughs. I knew every event trigger (when they would start & end), how to avoid triggering certain enemy group spawns & some of the different level glitches to save time on a speedrun. However, I will say that there's a good amount of tricks being used in this speedrun that I was never aware of. I bet if I had kept at it, I might have some day come close to this guy's record. Oh well. I'm very impressed with your speedrun. It was an epic "at the movies" experience to watch (no ass-kissery intended). Congrats dude!
I've done it a few times. He makes it look easy, but every time I do it, the wraith backs up and does a 360 making me dizzy. Overcharging it with the PP interrupts it from moving but still aggravating. I've been trying to work on the ghost skip just up from this though. Just drive a ghost up a mountain on your left as you progress past the banshee and turrets. It despawns the entire next section with the wraith and turrets, etc. I just can't get it to let me walk up to the top of the hill after getting out of the ghost at the top.
Every single year people are smashing world record titles for Halo legendary playthroughs. One day every single Halo game will be beaten and under 1 hour.. which is insane because Halo is a cinematic story with long missions.. good work but you are going to have the Halo speedrunning community going off the walls trying to retake their WR back 🤣🤺
