Halo 3 had its fair share of glitches and secrets, but one that always seemed possible was flying the Pelican on Rat's Nest. Today I created a mod for Halo 3 that finally makes it possible. A download to this modded map can be found below:

Katie likes Oreos! Like for real tho, im the Legend of Creede. Like one time I went to san huan sports and asked someone out and was like yo! you want to go longboarding or something? she was like na I got a boyfriend man! im like oH k. So normally when i ask someone out and she says no, I go and do something nice. So I drove my mustang to the mining museum and got her gold! so i walked in the pouring rain in my 160 dollar leather jacket and gave her gold! so then i went to random people and said yo you want a ring with your name on it? and she was like heck ya man. Not really but I gave 3 random people a ring with their name on it! lol. So one time i went to Pagosa springs to find the Legend Of Pagosa. So like there was Olivia, the front office manager of the springs resort! Best looking person ever.

Der Yoloist It was due to time constraints i’m sure. Or maybe they just had no idea how to implement them into gameplay in a way that didn’t make all the other air vehicles pointless to fly. Because those pelicans could bring down phantoms in a few shots.

fun fact: in the official Halo 3 strategy guide that released with the game, pelicans are listed as having a -200 score penalty when destroyed (campaign scoring), despite being invincible in the normal game.

As a person who grew up with Halo, I am absolutely astounded a person like you exists and presents to the community all the things we all wanted to dive into as tikes. You could absolutely use teleporters to get over there but it was super difficult to do so. If you moved an inch of the teleporter once you sat it on top of the pelican you would die tho lmao

The destroyable pelican is just one small peak into what the modding community will be able to do. I swear to all my halo fans, we ARE going to have massive 25v25 space battles with boardable cruisers and waypoints to capture, almost like OG BFII's space battles. I can't wait!!!

I wanted to know, if in halo reach, you would consider modding in the pelican to make it look like the halo wars 2 gunship variant. the idea ia a co op vehicle, and the interior turrets can only be used during co op. but weapons on the exterior and shoulders are controlled by the pilot, it think that would be cool

You’d think they’d just make pelicans and phantoms pilotable vehicles after all this time instead of making us mod. I mean look at the most downloaded prefab in halo 5 - the drivable phantom. Instead of making us resort to wonky ass welded vehicles it would be really nice if we had more vehicles period. I can’t believe they gave us a flyable broadsword-something that didn’t exist prior to halo 4-but not the 2 vehicles that have existed in almost every game

hey shotgun! not sure if you'll read this but would you consider doing some tutorials in the future? i myself am a fallout modder (about 9 years experience now!) working mostly with armor/clothing skeleton rigging along with some weapon work and a future playlist on using my 3DS max, blender etc skills in the MCC would be GREATLY! appreciated (oh also extra edit bit. make those tiny pelicans and hornets flyable! or else.... ummmm... i'll do it myself!)

I was wondering maybe in the future you could add AI into forge since Gamecheat was able to in one of his video's for a mod that added AI onto the xbox 360. I'm unsure how difficult it would be but couldn't you use the original file of the mod and just tweak it to fit Halo 3 MCC?
