This guy was hard to beat in Legendary. Especially facing TWO of them. I took 22 deaths, and I finally beat both. I beat the first one at my 9th death, then it took me 13 more tries...

***** I know a strategy to defeat him. If you use Recon controls like I do, all you need to do is left bumper right when he charges at you, get a shotgun or a scattershot and keep shooting his back/or black orb. lol I took down 3 in two tries while doing this strat. And yes, this was on Legendary.

Battle of Sunaion is the only mission where we fight Warden in a non-forerunner place. The other fights are in forerunner places.

I've found that it's not really the Warden that gets me so much as his lackeys. On legendary he just has SO MANY DAMN LACKEYS you can't fight hit him unless you laboriously wipe out all of his allies first, or you just get flanked and eaten by crawlers.

When you fight him on Genesis as Locke, you can bring your Scorpion Tank into the fight with you and make quick work of both Warden bodies. For the last encounter as chief where you have to fight 3 of them, you are in fact able to skip it by using ground pound.

In the new book Halo: Epitaph, its revealed that the Warden was destroyed for good by the Didact between the games.

@@HaloMan-813 Not exactly: in the comics series he got Composed by the Master Chief and a Monitor. That did kill him and it sent the Didact's essence to the outer boundaries of the Domain. Another plus is that it burned away his corruption and insanity from the Gravemind's torture. The Didact was restored to his true self, but the Warden was blocking access to the Domain for everyone, both Composed human and Forerunner. The best that the Didact managed to accomplish was to use the Domain to slip into that Guardian from the end of Halo 5 and help free Blue Team from its clutches. He did still hate the Master Chief, but Cortana was a bigger threat for him. Destroying the Warden was an enormous task and it took quite a lot. Afterwards the Didact let everyone that had been trapped outside of the Domain, both human and Forerunner, in and it strengthened the Domain to the point that it was able to evict the Created shortly before the events of Infinite.

Not a halo fan, just browsing but here’s what I caught in the first 1:45| Warden:“Your presence is not welcome” *soldiers steamed on gunning this guy down* “sounds like a threat, son” “please leave” *warden says, blowing them away prob due to sensing their hostile energy, especially after saying the rest are chill but one “unfortunately” (in a polite manor) are not* “yUp, sOuNdS LiKe a ThrEaT” lmfaooo

+The Hen Dunno if you've figured it out yet, but here's what worked for me: engage close range with scattershot, sprint around to his back to the NON-SWORD side of him. If you evade sword-side, you're dead. Sprint away from the other two as needed, but you should be able to bag one and get a checkpoint.

It's a bitch but head shots. If you go all the way back in to the map before you fall off the map and die, he can't hit you with the sword but he can send shots at you.

Besides helping to revive, blue team is absolutely useless. The marines in Halo Infinite are more helpful. Blue team here are just stand by medics.
