I am very glad they clarified in a post afterwards that grapple hook and the front shield will be pickup items only and not be permanent abilities like in campaign. That was my only concern but its already been rectified. I genuinely don't understand the obscene amount of hate for anything microsoft does anymore tho. makes me so sad to see so much hatred and so much fanboying for playstation when microsoft puts bangers like this out. Bunch of other youtubers over emphasize their criticisms and borderline distaste for the entire game while underplaying the fantastic stuff about it imo. idk if you have lived under a rock but the general narrative I get from media and youtubers and a lot of people I even know constantly bashing every single thing microsoft does or says while playstation the general consensus is: "wow this is amazing this is actually the best thing to ever happen within the market" sort of vibe. Like immedietely 30 seconds into gameplay I saw a chat light up with "this looks terrible" or "this looks like plastic toys" from halo and non halo people. Thats just been my perspective and why seeing this video has been nice.

@@MrGrimside yeah the graphics need a little polishing but that is my only complaint. I saw some Bungie fanboy complaining why lore wise the enemies look different and not a single complaint to bungie I pointed out why were the brutes. Hairy in halo 2 and then in halo 3 they were non hairy
well yeah, you're talking about reddit. The game could be the best thing anyone has ever seen and they will always find ways to shit on it. I would know, I spent a lot of time there before the reveal. Now I won't be able to go back until 6 months after the game has been out haha.
People just complain too much. I like the gritty looking graphics, granted the shadows could be improved a bit more, but other than that, I think the game will be great 👍🏽
well, you heap what you sow... microsoft spent haf the generation talking about how their milkshake was the best because it had TERAFLOPS. halo IS their biggest franchise, its what mario is to nintendo, hell, its basically mario + zelda is if we count how few first parties they actually have. so you would expect them to deliver on the one thing they said they were going to do best... the backlash was caused by none other than microsoft themselves.
Overall, I really enjoyed what I saw... I just cannot believe how much backlash the trailer has gotten already. Seems to me people are never satisfied. I mean, it's literally what CE was "supposed" to be if Bungie wasn't limited by the hardware both mechanically & artistically, and yet people complain. The hate is just exhausting, but I predicted years in advance people were gonna hate it no matter what. The second I saw the Chief use sprint, I knew people were gonna lose their minds and scream how Halo is ruined.
Gameplay looks great and the open world concept excites me....the graphical quality, texture quality, etc. is poor though. It seems like they sacrificed visual quality for this "4K" gimmick and for last gen compatibility. Hopefully the aesthetics get a refresh before launch.

@@memedumpster3684 no she's right. the banished should have more agency as the goals don't align. The banished themselves want to rule. It wouldn't be believable if they shared that rule. The created goals are stability above all and banish would absolutely not be on the same page. It wouldn't make any sense and removes agency from the banished.

I'm sure villain-Cortana and Atriox both plan to betray each other at some point. But the galaxy is a large place, with many galaxy-destroying weapons strewn about. It makes sense that a temporary alliance would serve both factions well until the strongest threats are dealt with and the most powerful weapons are under control. And since the Banished beat villain-Cortana to the ARK...think about it. Skepticism of the alliance is warranted, of course - but skepticism of the game's story because of this one detail - revealed less than 10 minutes into the game's story - is NOT. Yeesh.

The newer AC’s Ghost Recons Farcry etc. Have like 10 missions that are repeated over and over slightly differently and often you have to grind out very similar side quests to say take over different regions. And so after a couple hours it gets boring and tedious. I’m fine with open worlds if they aren’t like that, like New Vegas or Skyrim
Think they'll implement the shadows and "dirty" textures so the game doesn't look like Halo : Megablocks ? xD But hey can't wait to see the lore, hope it'll be as big as we planned !

To everyone talking about graphics.... remember this was more than likely originally intended to be shown at e3, meaning it is a few months old. And this is only a gameplay DEMO. The game will get polished just like any game does before launch. So calm down please
I'm not the Banished look shit this makes no sense lore wise why would the classic Blue Elites magically return? The Banished didn't even have Blue Elites.... these are supposed to be Outcasts so why would they get older covenant armor? Yeah they said they were bringing the classic style back but they never said replacing the style of a faction that was already in a game with a classic style.....
Not all of us can be brave like the Chief when being stared down by a brute lmao. I do like how that cutscene makes it feel like the brute is talking directly to the player though, closest I'll ever get to being the chief.

One thing i noticed, the player is not hiding behind cover all the time or playing it tactical like with halo 4 and 5 THE COVENANT DANCE FROM THE BUNGIE ERA IS BACK
I love the Elites design it's like a hybrid Between Halo 2 & Anniversary. And grunts are like a mix between H:CEA & H3 and of course the Storm Grunts return. Jackals remind me of H3 but I wonder how OP jackal snipers are going to be.
In terms of gameplay it looks really fun I just hope that multiplayer won’t have sprint or at least that multiplayer has classic playlists also, some of the textures could do with some improvements. But I have faith in 343 now, I believe that they will listen and improve the game as time goes on.
No halo needs sprint. As someone playing since halo1 we been wanting sprint forever. It was right in reach and halo4 felt wierd and 5 it was fine. Just not cool with the thrusters. But this looks good. I love it
@@a-aronjohnson878 I agree, the thrusters as default on every spartan over-did it ... it looks to me that while sprint is default, you will be able to equip armor abilities like the grapple, thrusters, jetpacks, cloack etc. in adition ... which i think is the perfect combination with the deployable equipment making a return from halo 3
@@a-aronjohnson878 Halo doesn't need sprint and it's not something I was asking for since Halo 1. Saying that, I don't hate sprint in the campaign of Infinite since it's open world and it looks like they toned down the speed a bit. Hopefully this slow down will help them design maps a little better for multiplayer. I also hope they will have some classic playlists as well without sprint because it would help keep more fans happy and what's wrong with that?
I love the art style, and the gameplay looks good! I'm in two minds about the fact it's Open World though. I mean I could be wrong, it could be great. I'm not totally against it, I just don't know if it'll feel too different for a Halo game. .. Also, are the Prometheans not in the story now? I've seen nothing of them in relation to this game yet 🤔
343 said it’s still going to have “levels” (different maps) in campaign so we’ll have different open world areas. I heard someone say that getting to this part of the game is 8 hours into the campaign. However, I have no idea if that’s true or not.
I was a little iffy with the gameplay on the first viewing but I'm really starting to warm up to the mix of 343 gameplay elements with a more classic twist

It's obviously not the same one of course. It's a 10mm pistol vs. the 12.7 of the M6D. According to the markings, it's made by a different company. There's still very much a chance that our original designs are in there.

Only complaint is that the piolet’s face look pretty low res at the very start(it even looked better moments after, I’m not sure what’s up there) and the phantom is a bit jumpy in its flight, but that’s it... I love this
Hey Jack, I have a worry about halo infinite and I want to know your opinion. I feel that the Banished don't look banished enough and look more like regular covenant. Also things like the enemies and the phantom look slightly low-detail. Do you think this is confirmed to be what halo infinite is going to look like or will they update the visuals. I'm also not a big fan on the grappling hook ability as it strays too far from classic halo. However, I really love the new brute leader and I hope that he plays a big role in the story.Would be good to hear your opinion on the matter.
I think that's likely close to the final visuals at this point, the glide paths of the phantoms look like they're on a rail and I don't mind most of the banished designs. I'll be explaining my thoughts more in the coming days :)
I believe the infinity is destroyed because if you look at the trailer when they show the pelican with all the deceased ships infinity is there. Rip laskey then.
I noticed that there’s ranks next to the deceased it might be that those are operatives that are dead rather than infinity as a whole. I hope Alpha 9s Ok I just finished bad blood and I’d be so pissed if buck and crew are dead.

As someone who’s been a halo fan since the beginning, I think it’s fine to have them. I understand wanting the gameplay of the original trilogy, but I think it’s a must in this day and age for the newcomers to the franchise. Hopefully there is a toggle for it like Ares said.
I have very few problems with the trailer and am quite happy with it but I can’t help but just hate the community for crying because the game can’t be the exact same way bungie made them. Even if it were to be the way they think they wanted it, I bet they would still complain
So nobody is gonna talk about the upgrade progression system along with which grinding comes. We wanted a halo they made it into a- what if every other game was halo?
What i dont understand about the halo community... Halo ce: amazing game for its time, pushing the boundries. halo 2: different map density, new weapons, duel wield, awesome story. Halo 3: adds equipment and new vehicles with a grander scale to the whole thing. Reach: armor abilities and bugger set pieces. Halo 4: cortana and chief development, new weapons and enemies and revamps the artstyle Halo 5: awesome forge, adds intrinsic spartan abilities and cool warzone gamemode that innovative and fun Every game tries to innovate in new ways and bring a greater overall experience. But from what i see a lot of the halo fan base always slagging off games like cod n shit but they also want the same carbon copy of halo everytime a new one releases and they bag all over the game even tho halo has never done that
Alot of halo fans can never be satisfied i wasn't a fan of halo 5s graphics and story but i did have some enjoyment i'm glad halo infinite so far went back to its roots if you cant stick with a franchise through its dark times and ups and downs then you're not a true fan.
