Pretty sure when selecting the difficulty it says something along the lines of "for those who love sniper jackals." Which adds on to the fuck you factor of it.
@@GiveMeBass93 I disagree, they take 2-3 shots to kill, so you have a window of opportunity to get into cover if you have it. Not to mention the visor glint and the aiming lasers before they fire.
@@GiveMeBass93 Not sure if you have actually played halo 2 on legendary if you're saying these were worse. If "you always take me to the nicest places" doesn't give you flashbacks, you don't know pain.
FUN FACT:A jackal sniper on Alpha Centauri is rumored to be the one who killed Kat on Reach several light years away while doing a 360 no scope and blindfolded.
@@nicolae-alexandruluca7853 technically that field marshal was the one responsible for almost everyone's death, Jorge didn't die from the field marshal he died from the slibspace rupture, if the field marshal or his squad killed him then they would've also died but that was clearly not the case.
I hate how they can triple shot yo ass if you don't get into cover immediately. Their accuracy is stunning, even if you've launched yourself in the air with the grapple hook or attempted to swing away.
Sometimes if you're running as they're shooting if you use the thrusters they might miss a shot, they have a 3 round burst always since 3 rounds is what it takes to kill you, they miss one and fail that window
Halo 2 was worse, jackals had literally no time between target acquisition and shooting. The sniper glare in infinite is obvious and easy to evade, plus it's a 2 shot kill rather than 1.
Jackal snipers in Halo 2 had literal aimbot, that and the fact that the beam rifle always 1-hit killed you on legendary. In Infinite no where near as bad, much more forgiving but still can get you all the same.
ngtl this pretty much sums up my legendary run death count besides the last boss.. god it took me a while to kill Harbinger, cause of a fuckin brute chieftain of all things lol
Not just the Chieftain, the three Elites that come out are also a pain to deal with as well. Especially cause one of them comes carrying a stalker rifle and will kill you very quickly too. But yeah FUCK THAT CHIEFTAIN. I spent nearly five minutes running away and pelting that sunuvabetch with every forerunner weapon I could find. Thank fuck the game checkpoints right after this before Harbinger attacks you directly on the final phase.
I'd recommend using thruster pack to returning to cover and try remembering where the bullet trace came from. Max thruster even provides a small invisibility effect to get the jump on them
I just finish h2 legendary and it was one of the most painful experiences i have got in my life, literally I cried of anger ....dark souls is nothing compared to this...
I had a way harder time with the accuracy of grenade throws from grunts and elites than i did with the jackal snipers but my only legendary run has been a lasso run so that probably changes things a bit
@@halogameking Sniper jackets were the bane of my existence on legendary, even with maxed shields. Maybe I just got stupidly unlucky and my jackals always got at least 1 headshot, but they did seem to kill me super easily.
@breaking the 4th wall like its not unplayable it just takes a lot of deaths and restrategizing as well as remembering enemy spawns. I finished it on legendary back in December, tools used were 2K 240Hz and a 4K 160Hz
TBH the Jackal snipers aren't even that dangerous in this game, the Elites with the Stalker Rifle are definitely much more of a threat, especially since they're shielded most of the time. That, and the Marines with snipers are basically THE NEW Jackal Snipers and are instead on your side this time lol.
Halo 2: Hardest snipers, but after a couple dozen deaths in each zone you learn the dance you need to eliminate them Halo 3: Not the hardest but unpredictable, very few appearances in the campaign Halo Infinite: Certainly the easiest, rarely kill you in a single hit, Banished bases generally have a lot of cover
They can't kill you in one hit, also do note that sometimes they wait till you get damaged, I had noticed a sniper jackal in infinite and it was just standing, waiting for something, I was of course under a lot of fire from a pack of brutes on my left, took 2 hits from a mangler and after the 2nd mangler shit it was like one quarter of a second at most and the jackal sniper shot me, this all happened in less then 3 seconds and I was far away from any cover(basically ambushed) and I used up the unupgraded grapple so getting away with it took time. So yeah, jackal snipers can be patient if they want to and fail to give away their presence, keep your eyes out
One time I killed a jackal sniper, and a blue elite picked up the rifle and sniped me. Then I killed him and a red elite picked up the sniper and sniped me.
When I beat this on Legendary I was shocked I died more to brutes on my wasp, rather then dying to jackals. (a wasp on legendary not a good idea, some enemies will one tap it out the sky)
Legendary difficulty be like:omg there is so many sniper jackals in one area this almost broken as halo reachs elite melee they can one hit u on legendary before u know whats going on lol
Jackal snipers ain't the worst thing on legendary, it's the ravager that thing is so broken it makes getting into cover useless. Who thought it was a good idea to give the brutes an infinite grenade launcher.
What a bunch of pushovers. They don’t one shot you anymore. …You know, because clearly getting one shotted by a Jackal Sniper on the other side of the Halo ring you have no chance of seeing would be fun.
