Hmm not the same franchise but reminds of Ahsoka saying to Vader in rebels: "I won't fail anyone, not this time". It is not just Chief's fault only objectively btw I believe, well nature of a war.
Out of all the halos I've never seen Chief so talkative. I'm really not too sure how I feel about the overall storyline of Infinite. It's just a huge change and it focuses way more on emotional aspects as well as Cortana.
I feel like he talked more in halo 4 but it’s just that he feels the most human in infinite. I personally don’t mind him showing more humanity as long as they never show his face.
