I really want a lot of this cut content work it's way back into the campaign with updates. Being an open-world it lends itself to retroactively adding new content through updates a heck of a lot more than the more traditional linear highly-designed and scripted levels halo used to have.
Tbh, I kinda hate that 343 went with a full open world campaign. Honestly, I would have done an open-world/linear hybrid were the levels are still fairly linear but more open and expansive. When you finish the game you could then backtrack/fast travel to those areas.
If the game was linear I probably would’ve played the campaign 3+ times at this point. Unfortunately I have no desire to replay the campaign whatsoever
It's been nearly a year with no updates to the campaign besides removing, and adding the tank gun back. This is the final campaign, all they will change is add a "Halo Infinite Episode 2: Endless Boogaloo" new campaign half the lenght of the release one, double the reused assets and quadruple the unused/scrapped content. It's been 10 years since Halo 4, you should not have any faith in 343 what so ever.
I mean, I knew from the get-go that Infinite has a lot of Halo 5 DNA in it.. but this just shows how MUCH of it is still Halo 5 inside there. Interesting.
I truly hope so! It’d make for a fun adversary and imagine that there’s a gimmick that you can enrage it and attacks everything in sight like the H2 brutes. Imagine this fighting a Hunter
They do is say its supposed to come in the campaign, but I swear I saw a different 343 tweet saying they weren't gonna add it, I might be wrong though.
To be fair most of the weapons are from halo 5. The big alien monster would have been cool though. I think some if not most of this will come to the game eventually.
Well if it means anything it may not be that this is gone for good so much that it’s being reserved for later, or they’ll give us the cut content down the line like they did in MCC, especially since a lot of this is pretty fully realized already. Look, they even have the DMR we’re getting soon. And they have the _perfect_ excuse to put this stuff in forge to leave it up to players regarding how it’s used. Once forge comes out and is routinely updates, the game is going to _flood_ with new toys for us.
Why is it never? The game isn't finished and with the progress their making this stuff can make it's way back into the game. Don't pull out the doomer vibes
@@dixonmayaz144 it’s been 9.5months and we haven’t gotten anything like this. At 1yr we’ll finally have 1 maybe 2 guns. it’d take 15yrs to get half of this stuff. Especially not getting anything promethean, they won’t be added since their not in the game thematically. *’doomer vibes’ are definitely in order*
Yeah. If it wasn’t already confirmed, I sure hope they add these back. The wildlife, new banished enemies, new vehicles, etc., would make a great edition - campaign wise. Multiplayer is a different beast.
@@justsomehalofan4386 I don't know about riding animals cheif would either kill it or find something like a hog with a chain gun and use that. I'd rather fight them or see them from a distance or maybe even hunt one down to eat it and help echo 216 eat as well lol.
people should be aware before going into this there is usually more cut content (ie: character models, unused assets, and even gameplay mechanics) that gets cut from a game, than what usually makes it in. Imagine like 10-20 different iterations of a weapon from Halo just sitting in a computer at 343, never to see the light of day or be uploaded to the internet. This is how game development works. you throw a bunch of shit at a wall and see what sticks and shelve the rest. Most of this is probably cut content that some (not all) will never be added to this game. There are probably more recent builds now that 343 has that probably has hundred more cut content than what's in here. Knowing 343, there is probably an entire cut campaign of this game somewhere on a flash drive lmao.
Honestly this makes me _giddy_ for the future…. All this content left aside for the future, just WAITING to be properly reintroduced or modded back in. The things I could do with all this in forge…😈
This just goes to show you don't know how engines are built. Devs don't just throw away what they have working, they try to evolve from it and improve it. Make all stuff that came before it accesible in it too.
I honestly wouldn’t have minded Promethean weapons (or prometheans in general) being in infinite. Maybe they can retool some of those weapons to be headlight weapons or something
i think the Prometheans should make their come back in halo infinite. they are truly a good looking enemy back in halo 4 and 5. their weapons aswell were truly amazing.
I hope Infinite's campaign does a redux style that adds the cut animal's, enemies, vehicle's, weapons, and weather system. But in reality it won't happen officially... ☹
I kinda miss the Prometheans. It would’ve been great to see Promethean remnants casted out by the monitor and submonitor roam the ring covered in cloths and all damaged scavenging after Cortana’s deletion and fighting search parties of Banished.

A lot of copied content from H5 isn't much to be impressed by. Still can be modified to gets its own new feel so can't blame them to reuse most assets, this really shows that despite then reusing stuff they still failed to deliver a decent amount of content on the release day.
Except they didn’t reuse the h5 stuff? If they did the game would actually have content right now. They decided to rebuild the game rather than to just build on halo 5
Interesting, so Promethians and Grunt Goblins WERE slated for Infinite…. And considering there’s a crashed Guardian just off the map AND the near-inevitability of a flood outbreak with all of our shenanigans on the ring, we could see us a ring wide power struggle of UNSC/Banished/Ex-Covenant/Created/forerunners/Flood/Endless/etc/…. The campaign is going to turn into more of a battle Royale then the one they’ve already got cooking later next month.
Doesnt mean it was going to be a part of the game at all. Leftover content always ends up on the next game, the entirety of noble team is in the halo 4 files for example, it doesnt mean noble team was ever planned to be in halo 4.
@@wut-se8hz After the war the Forerunners placed remaining flood samples into various instillations across the Galaxy with Monitors and other leftover forces to get some research done in peace on them and how best deal with them later…. Which unfortunately lead to the repeated possibility of their escape. And as the shield world in the first Halo Wars shows, as much as the human/covenant war agitated things they don’t even NEED that to reek havoc. By the time anyone arrived there the planet was well underway to becoming a full on keymind, barely held back by remaining Sentinel forces.

Imagine if 343i just surprised everyone with anti cheat on and off versions plus steam workshop like MCC,and have modders make these work 😢 or fill in the empty spaces in Infinite lol or get AI voices for new dialog when running into new creatures or ones missing in campaign to truly fill in gaps 😮

@@riccardocolonna3322 yeah, looks like 343i send the concepts to Mega Construx but they never ended them for Infinite, thats why we wave the Skiff toy and the one in-game its full grey or only appears destroyed, Fred even appears in two toys but he was never in the Game.
Wow, the indie devs who are making this must be working so hard with such little money backing them up. If only a they had the monetary backing and power of a company like xbox who literally has ownership of a console. Imagine what more they could make... Wait a second.
It's a shame that they don't have a big budget, or hardly any people working for them. Just a bunch of buddies in a garage. Owh nice, i'm glad if ever, that they would bring the Halo 5 content back into Infinite in the near future.. If they can do it for all the maps too and in updated Infinite fashion, then i'm a very content man playing these once again within Infinite.
I really hope that cut promethean was cut because they realized they were dumb and not because of time constraints. If they got a major overhaul in both visual design and their role in the sandbox then maybe, but they just never felt like they fit with the world that was set up by Bungie.
I just wanted to see promethens fight the flood, everything they have gameplay wise and their roles are designed for that/to counter. Just want to see them do a 4some, humans, covie, flood and them on a huge map akin to two betrayals finale but better.
the forerunner promethean class pre-composing actually looked decent in the terminals. Actually, all Forerunner-made armor looked better in terminals than what was actually presented in-game. I'd want an enemy that looks more like that, though it seems the Endless will take center stage for Infinite
The promethium sandbox role is to build an army out of nothing Knight makes watcher watcher makes crawlers I think they could get a slight overhaul But a big overhaul for aesthetic
Seeing a lack of prometheans in halo feels wrong for some reason. I would love to have them integrated well into the sandbox, maybe with a few tweaks to their mechanics.
@@Yesuliph If they return, I'd like a better meshing of old and new art styles. The uncomposed Forerunner "Prometheans" that accompanied Didact in the terminals looked really cool, so maybe something like that?
Honestly, I was just as happy with the absence of the Prometheans as I was disappointed with such a small variety of Forerunner robots (Sentinels). If the devs ever have to bring back those Promethean bastards, not only they need to change almost the entire art of the Prometheans, but over half of the mechanics of EVERY Promethean unit need to be redone!
All of these mostly-completed promethean and old halo weapons ported over should be finished and at least placable as forge only weapons. If I was part of 343 game management, I would go a step further and label them all as "legacy" weapons. I would have different sets of these "legacy" weapons rotating in and out of multiplayer in some gamemodes on a biweekly basis to keep the multiplayer fun and interesting.
@@Wylie288 a lot of the weapons are literally just ports that need to be retextured with a little bit of work to their animation and physics. Most of the ground work is already coded in for a decent amount of them (not all of course)
Most of these are leftover halo 5 assets. The giant Banished creature reminds me of the Gutas, but a lot more terrifying and dangerous. And that rhino model, damn this game is such a disappointment.
@@mitchie2267 not if made right, the Knights in 5 where good designed enemies imo, with the weak spots you had to hit, the watcher makes for good support units, is the soldiers and crawlers that need some changes, crawlers had that cool wall crawling ability that disappeared in Halo 5 and that was interesting and new, i can totally see them adding promethans with a bit of rework

It may just be me but I hate the promethians as an enemy.. they left such a bad taste in my mouth after halo 4-5. How I miss the covenant and dare I say the flood.
