I'm happy with the Firefight updates. I'm an old Halo fan and can't keep up with all the PvP stuff anymore. It's too sweaty, haven't touched ranked at all in any Halo since 3. I really hope they do more linear Firefight maps. It feels like a mini campaign. I get the mild disappoint if you're not into Firefight, and I'm sick of Banished cosmetics too.
Tbh as a BIG firefight fan even for me this update is slightly underwhelming. I'm tired of getting community made content. No matter how good it is (and it's plenty good) it will never be on the same level of dev made content. Also thanks so much for featuring me in the community section of the video! You are indeed correct I used VrChat to create those images. Despite many qualities those VR tools are extremely limited due to me only having visors and controllers (basically I can only control HANDS, arms are not included just hands, and my HEAD). So I had to do my own posing and trickery to get just the right shots. I was definitely worth it tho!
Ardent Prayer made me feel like when Jerome infiltrated the banished cruiser in Halo Wars 2. It’s a great map but it’s a shame the rest aren’t the same or even if it was just a normal FF map just give us a regular firefight mode and not KOTH so that those maps feel more natural. Hope they add more community maps like Ardent Prayer and add normal FF… a year from now maybe cause damn are they slow.
-As an FF main, this update has been a blessing. -Can number company please add armors that aren’t Covenant/Banished themed for 2 operations!? Pls I need Forerunner armor. -The exchange hasn’t featured any Entrenched pieces yet. I need this to return because the Scarlet Hunter visor was a weekly ultimate during Entrenched and I DESPERATELY WANT IT!
Good video, I would say personally I loved this operation because I’m a PVE enjoyer and glad we got more FF maps. As for customization, glad the Haunted Helmet is still in there and I am a sucker for getting Twitch drops. For Achilles, I was not a fan of it because it looked okay I guess but that was my attitude during the Halo 5 era when I hopped on & off so take that as you will. I do agree with you and that Ardent Prayer is such a hot track with how it’s structured and the chance we get to do Lone Wolf from the campaign. I could understand that players have this nitpicky of classic FF but I don’t mind KOTH as it brings a lot of points for me to handle with the weekly challenges (they ask for a accumulative score of 3000-5000). And nice community sharing!
Very nice to see news about this game that doesn't feel overwhelmingly negative. Was also worried this game was gonna be left in the dust, extremely happy to see firefight thriving. I'm also more of a pvp Halo player, but firefight's been a really fun way to see what people can do with Forge.
Also as for an explanation for the VRChat model; people can do a lot with unity's coding in VRChat. I've seen someone make a model with all the customization options from Halo Reach. It had so toggles, it was amazing!

This looks awesome and all, but I have to ask the age old question: did they change the skill based matchmaking yet? I think it's a popular opinion that the matchmaking is too strict, and every time I play Infinite, I get handed L after L. Is it still like this? I like PvP the most, but SBMM keeps me away.
@@The_NJG Good question! As far as we know BTB and Rumble pit have more lenient SBMM however most of regular playlists have gone unchanged as far as I’m aware 😅

Totally agree that Powerhouse should be in Quickplay. Why it wasn't added makes no sense to me- It's such a great map! Ardent Prayer was made by Gerado Ghio! That man is absolutely insane. Straight up peak 🤌
Yeah its a weird choice but maybe later in the operation? My bad for not getting the right creator! its so hard to decipher who the right chiefs are in the kitchen that is forge!
