Halo 5 Warzone mode is amazing even if you're bad at PVP you can still contribute by fighting bots. Also being able to call in tanks will never get old.
@@aibarra11 yes I understand that. But you can also buy req packs so that you have WAYYY more power weapons/vehicles than everyone else. People who buy the packs on top of playing with obviously have more.
@@Vynndiihonestly you can't even tell if someone bought them or not. actually playing and earning reqs will give you a decent amount powerful items. yeah rng sucks but it's still hardly pay to win.
Am I the only one that loved having a squad in the Halo 5 campaign? Sure the story was shit, but the squad gameplay was really fun I thought. Reminded me of a Republic Commando a little.
@@alliedbrandon1355 The squad ai was shit. At least Republic Commando had incredible ai that made the squad competent and alive while you could command them. H5 fails squad based mechanics in every way
I wouldn't even give the campaign to halo infinite. All it's missions and open world felt copy pasted. While 5's story was shit, at least the levels had more variety.
Strictly multiplayer i think halo 5 wins. Infinite is good and I know the player counts are higher on xbox but halo 5 was 60 dollars with a strong playerbase while infinite feels more like a abbusive husband who you think one day is gonna get all good and start treating you right
Definitely played halo 5 more, warzone was just so fun and infection was immaculate. Halo infinite just doesn't have that one mode that would make me play daily
I love how the shoulder charge in Halo 5 was used to break open certain parts of the maps, I can't remember if that was the case in MP, but for the campaign, secrets were sprinkled here and there, and I loved looking for them to snag a Rocket.
I'll happily pay $60-70 for a base game if it means that I can unlock stuff either from challenges or by accomplishing something. I like how accessible the game currently is for folks who haven't played Halo much before, but it's rough to constantly be asked to pay $30+ for a set in the shop that I'll realistically never use.
Yeah, that was overkill and was one the reasons why the skill gap was so high in H5. Infinite’s skill gap felt more balanced… as long as the broken matchmaking didn’t get in the way.
Exactly. If you don’t have thruster or atleast grapple shot in infinite you’re pretty much a sitting duck. Game definitely would’ve benefited from having a permanent evasive mechanic
Next Halo game should have NO sprint, faster base movement speed and permanent thrusters with the ability to slide when thrusting forward. Want a Halo game that actually feels like a Halo game and has muH sUpErSoLdIEr pOwEr fAnTaSy"? there ya go
I would pay extra to have a “complete” game. All the add ons and the store was fleecing users. But the studios make more from lots of little impulse buys than a complete dlc. Which makes me fear that we’ll never get that ever again because corporate really don’t care about the players just their wallets.
Being able to get into an aircraft or a vehicle with someone else, and having one person drive/pilot whilst the others use heavy weapons is just amazing. Driving a tank with four or five marines, flying a hornet, driving a troop transport warthog, or getting into the passenger seat in Halo CE and realizing it's first person, whilst going through the Maw--is unbeatable, and it's EXTREMELY frustrating that the Covenant and Forerunners don't have anything close--even though the Spirit and the Shadow indicates they SHOULD. I preferred the jetpack and armour lock to the grappling hook and ground pound, honestly--both of them felt real--although let's face it, there was a reason invincibility was campaign-only in Halo 3.I really like Forge mode and the multiplayer bots in Infinite, which almost brings Halo up to the quality of the early PC games with map editors and campaign editors and multiplayer bots, but I really miss Warzone Firefight. I'm getting too old for Halo.
Sounds like you are literally saying everyone should choose Infinite over Halo 5. Doing a comparison on release Halo 5 Multiplayer vs Halo 2 Anniversary Multiplayer or Halo 3 Multiplayer vs Halo Reach Multiplayer. These examples would be better than comparing Infinite vs. Halo 5.
Moving forward, if they're going to monetize armor customisation, give us the basic matte color choices like in previous games, then sell different patterns and finishes. For every armor permutation in the store, give us an equal amount unlockable through gameplay, or just make EVERYTHING unlockable through gameplay & let players pay to outright unlock most of them if they really can't wait, but have the ones tied to major milestones, like max rank, exclusively play to earn.
Ones bad the others worse, but I’d definitely say a game mirrored after 5 because sure I’ll have to pay 60-70 bucks for it on launch but with all the bps and micro transaction bs I delt with it’s still far more cheaper. Especially since I did preorder halo infinite on a steel box. Honestly both had issues but with 5 yeah customization wise it’s worse but at least I can just earn and unlock what I want even if it’s digital roulette because the cash is free and I never had a problem earning it in game. Honestly I want a mix of both.
I completely agree with you Mint. It is important to see the positives and negatives of each game. I truly want Infinite’s equipment and simple base gameplay to stay and bring the positives from Halo 5. In the end, a playlist can be made in Infinite’s system in which players have unlimited thruster equipment and it would closely resemble a Halo 5 game. On another note: I really miss the Halo 5 weapon variants and the concept of Warzone (I hate the pay to win tho). Lastly: the monetization part is complicated, but hear me out. With the traditional model (paid game for $60) you end up paying for some stuff you never use (some colors and armor pieces). I am honestly OK with the free to play model as long as it has a healthy store, and by that I mean TONS of colors and armor at a fair price
I’m taking halo 5 mp and infinite campaign. Solely for the fact that infinite is still janky and doesn’t fee triple A. Halo 5 also has way better firefight.
I enjoy Halo Infinites campaign a lot more, and I feel like Infinites multiplayer is better from a gameplay standpoint, but Halo 5s multiplayer did a lot of things better in the live service part of the game. So many guns were added post launch and the sandbox especially when playing fiesta and warzone were awesome. Also I liked that you could unlock almost everything in the game through gameplay even if it was very grindy and unlikely to get everything you wanted, in Infinite half of the cosmetics are in the shop and it takes away the feel of progression.
Halo 5 multiplayer and halo Infinite's redesigned Campaign would make a good game in my reference. Both make Halo and man i want warzone back in halo infinite. I think overall both games have their goods and bads, i don't like putting all the credit in one game, but i go for halo 5 for multiplayer. Ever since halo infinites campaign ended things haven't been going well for halo. I haven't tried halo infinites new multiplayer yet but for now that's my answer.
Halo infinite multiplayer would be perfect without the pay for cosmetics and a few other tweaks like player collision. If they were a more player friendly company they would just allow players to customize their own armor colors like we used to be able to do but with the more advanced individual armor coloring.
What halo would I play between the two? I'd rather the MCC Reach and 3 were the golden Age of Halo. I was around to see it's rise and then it's death at the hands of Halo 4 and later Halo 5 I'm not going to choose between 5 and 6. I played the campaigns of both, I played the multiplayer of both and I never returned to either one out of boredom and disappointment I want to see Halo return to how it was and succeed. I am glad some people like you enjoy the games today and keep the community alive even if microsoft has given up but I'm not on that train. I started on Halo 2 in 2005. And I'm still there living out the ashes of the golden age
I'm really curious as to which was more profitable. Both games had so much backlash but I think Halo 5 has a stronger player base. That being said my brother who barely plays Halo infinite has put at least $50 into cosmetics in Infinite and I don't think he would have done that for the REQ packs.
Infinite FEELS like a classic halo game that's keeping with the times I prefer infinite but halo 5 was also enjoyable I like the free to earn armor Especially nightfall ODST And the abundance of weapons
I definitely prefer to buy my games and unlock the rest by playing. Not a fan of req packs however because I want to know what I'm paying for before I buy it.
feel like only reason halo 5 pvp/pve player drop is so bad is its still only on Xbox and isn't free. I still feel it should be on MasterChef collection as it dose involve him to some regard/sets up story to infinite that some people on pc don't have the context for
this may be controversial but i think 343 should use as much time as they need, because obviously they need it. every game has cut content everywhere, things that the players wanted but werent exactly required in a campaign. instead of estimating a date to complete the game by, they should just go until finished. the wait will definitely be worth it, as halo games take years to release anyway, a couple added years to it to add many things that people wouldnt be that bad
I want $60 Halo game continuing infinite direction and gameplay. But stable, map, and sandbox rich like H5. What really messed up Infinite for me was stability and the lack of things to play between missing game modes and weapons with more cosmetic focus. I would be happy to pay for more gameplay elements than cosmetics. Would prefer not to pay at all like past games, but I get they have to make their money somehow.
Combine the H5 dev maps, weapons, and vehicles with Infinite’s forge maps , equipment, and play style and I will be a happy spartan. Also bring back H5 spartan bubble butts. Also assassinations.
I like halo infinites campaign and multiplayer far more than either in halo 5. Halo 5 does have a more interesting multiplayer but it never felt like halo to me
i love halo infinte but sometime it depresses me knowing 343 blew their chance to dominating the gaming scene again when this game first came out.. They had all the stars align
I really like Infinite. I know the shop sucks and the multiplayer is frustrating to say the least. But when I took Halo 5 out of my Xbox I had no urge to put it back in. Haven’t beaten the campaign and there wasn’t anything there to make me want to
I actually enjoyed Halo 5 campaign. Still at the bottom tier of the franchise for me for narrative reasons, but the gameplay felt fine to me. The multiplayer however is probably the one I’ve played the least. Just not enjoyable for me, and didn’t feel like Halo at all imo.
comparing these games restricts creativity. if you want to have a conversation about the next halo game, include other games. if you want to compare these games to see which is better, then this is fine.
Just came to say that "The Answer" was my favorite weapon in the entire Halo franchise. I think Inifinite (now) is the better overall game, but the SBMM completely ruins the experience for me - so much that I just can't play it anymore.
unpopular opinion halo 5 and halo infinite's multiplayer are the best in the series they have lots of super fun gamemodes and mix that with the extremely fun gameplay it makes great multiplayers
Infinite is a revelation compared to Guardians. Even though they didn’t perfect the open world system for the game, it was far more enjoyable to play than the system they chose for Halo 5
I like infinite overall compared to 5. Halo 5s campaign is so terrible imo but its multiplayer is underrated. Regardless though I think infinite overall is just a better game as it’s more halo then halo 5. The gameplay specifically is a perfect blend of new halo and classic halo which is what I wanted as 343 halo from 4-5 tried to be something different entirely 4 trying to be like cod and 5 being something else entirely. Infinite gameplay to me is perfect. It just needs alot more weapon variety imo
Halo 5 has warzone over infinite and it’s more simpler which makes it more fun to play. I feel like infinite too complicated I die constantly in couple secs in big team
I’ll be real as someone that took a break from halo from h4-5 mainly due to me getting into Bo2 as a kid and then skipping out on Xbox one and just getting a pc. after having played 4 years later after I picked up a copy for 360 and again on MCC and then having played a bit of H5 on my friends Xbox one and on pc with h5 forge….. imma be real all the hate toward H4-5 is kinda crazy to me, they’re both perfectly fine games and while H5 campaign bores me I think H5’s MP is a fuck ton of fun and so were the new mechanics. A lot of the hate toward H:I was justified but the hate toward the other 2 games on a gameplay level seems overblown and while 5 plays different to past games…. It also plays different to a lot of games. Havent played a game like H5 ever
@@DJDonkeytron yeah idk the hates kinda over exaggerated. Shitty thing is during my break I kinda just blindly believed a lot of the complaints but after giving these games a shot gameplay wise I don’t think I dislike a single 343 game and even H5 for as different as it is it still has those core Halo elements. Like I have fun with infinite but honestly if 343 doubled down on their new mechanics from 5 I wouldn’t have complained either
I hate Halo 5 very much, and I don't hate Halo Infinite, but somehow there are many ways where Halo 5 is a better video game than Halo Infinite. I can appreciate how Halo 5 actually tried to have important and substantial things happen in the campaign story, whereas just nothing happens at all in Halo Infinite, it's just a huge waste of time. I also appreciate how Halo 5 Spartans actually have momentum and can't just twitch left and right instantly to dodge bullets. Halo 5 Spartans feel a bit more weighty (still not as good as the Bungie spartan feeling). Infinite Spartans feel so light that they are like walking pieces of paper.
I would pick Halo Infinite as a more enjoyable game. Going back and forth is so interesting and weird. Halo 5: Pistol is busted and BR nerfed into the ground. Halo Infinite: Super tight sandbox where every weapon has a viable roll, but they couldn't come around to actually add more weapons besides the Bandit. I think if 343 had the ambition of Halo Infinite and a development cycle that isn't plagued with Microsoft BS and you get a dedicated team. We'd have the best Halo.
Definitely Halo Infinite. 5 was great, but not the Halo game I wanted it to be. Halo Infinite could have been absolutely amazing if it had launched the way it is now, 2 years ago. Unfortunately that didn’t happen and now we’re here…
campaign wise infinite is better imo and multiplayer wise halo 5 DESTROYS halo infinite I played so much halo 5 until about a year ago cuz I can’t find matches
@@lastofchristianbyzantineem4935Fiesta which is my favorite mode has so much more variety with the weapons. The Andwer in Fiesta is the most broken thing in gaming.
Just about every match making game from Australia is 200ms... infinite is garbage on connection but the game play itself would be fantastic if I could get 23ms stable connection 😊
I much prefer Halo Infinite over 5. I feel like I am in the minority when I say I didn't enjoy Halo 5's multiplayer. Too fast for me personally and the gun play feels weird. I imagine if I played it at a higher frame rate, could be better.
HALO 5 was a wonderful game, just a terrible Halo game. Halo Infinite is a great game, that was destined to die due to Microsoft being a shitty company.
Halo 5 doesn’t feel like halo. Halo infinite just felt like a true halo 4. Campaign and multiplayer just top notch. They just needed more time. Unfinished game and still better than halo 5
I know a lot of people always think that more is better when it comes to gaming. But personally I really disliked the Halo 5 sandbox, as every weapon in the game is hyper-lethal and they lost their purpose and uniqueness so they no longer serve an unique niche nor purpose. Not to mention that it has hundreds of weapons, but with 99.99% of them feeling really redundant.
@@S0L12D3 nah halo 5 is 1000x better infinite is so boring and stale man 5 also had a bigger skill gap infinite literally removed nade jumps and skill jumps in competitive
How tf was Atriox a well written villain? I played through that campaign at launch and I don't even remember him being in the game other than a single opening cutscene. Not defending Halo 5, didn't even play that one lol
@@Bmabre7 Going off of what Mint was saying in the video, yes it does. He took Halo 4’s conclusion into account when considering Cortana’s role in Halo 5. Its only fair for us to take Atriox’s debut in Halo Wars 2 into consideration for Halo Infinite
Halo 5 without even a second thought. Didn’t have to wait 3 years for a full game. Halo infinite has a better overall campaign and abilities being more stable. Halo 5 over all is more stable, hyper competitive in fun ways, broken abilities that’s under utilize from my experience, “assassinations”, you can earn reck packs instead of paying over priced charges for free stuff the other 5 games have, more maps, game modes that didn’t take years to add in social playlists, more weapon customization upgrades, challenges and challenge rewards, more active and stable servers, and monetization.
11:00 I think everyone can agree that the color customization from Halo CE to Halo 5 Guardians was THE superior way. "Here's the color blue for $15, but you'll need to buy another blue for $10 if you want it on a different core." Absolutely mind-blowingly awful.
Partly. A combination of the systems would be better, I prefer the versatility of Coatings, but the coating system with custom colors for each coating would be way better than any of the other systems. If you completely ignore the fact that you pay for coatings, they are a better system.
@@MicahIsBatman2 Well, yes, if you take out the scamminess of Infinite’s system, coatings are way better. But that’s not really the comparison, because Infinite has coatings AND the color wheel. Halo infinite has all of the features that Halo 5 has, and extra features, but it charges for all of it - new and old.
@@MicahIsBatman2yea infinite system is better when they aren’t trying to rip you off. It’s Microsoft tho so they will take a good system and ruin it in a heartbeat
If it ain't Doom 2016, then it's a failed customization roster. Except for having to grind and unlock colors and materials. That was was just arbitrary nonsense to pad out gameplay time. But everything put games like Halo to shame.
It certainly did for the first year and a half. At this point most of the criticisms other than the sandbox not having had much added have been addressed, though.

I preffer Halo 5 over Halo Infinite, Guardians was an ACTUAL complete game after two years of been launched, if not were the Forge, Halo Infinite would be in the gutter by now.
@BillBagBargensonsBarger a lot of people forget that halo 5 also has user created maps in the matchmaking. On halo infinite iv played serval maps that are the same just reskinned so both games do it devs in 5 forged stuff in infinite. Just wish 5 would get a proper pc port.
@BillBagBargensonsBargermost are forge, but go on. seriously, all infinites been good at is adding forge maps and cosmetics, it took them literally 2 years to add firefight. at least 5 had warzone at launch and firefight in a fraction of that time.
@BillBagBargensonsBargerthats why i said "in a fraction of that time." as in it was barely half a year later, not the two whole years it took infinite.
