Grunts under the command of the Swords of Sangheilios are treated fairly well.

It's more so that Bungie had always been inspired by the Samurai (or western perceptions of Samurai) and molded that into Sangheili culture and lore. The artist and/or writer of this episode took that and explored that in an even more intricate level, and I love it for that.

Well just our Arbiter was responsible for at least a billion human deaths and I doubt all of them were involved in the army/navy

Do you think he did each one in personally? That figure is mostly glassed worlds, which was kinda my point really. The way the Covenant fight is rather impersonal and every human except the military was trying their hardest to get away from the fighting, so even though obviously many Covenant encountered many human civilians, your average Covenant soldier may well not have, even the ones in combat roles, who may have only ever encountered the UNSC themselves and not broader humankind.

I hope she watches all the animated shorts that were made from Halo: Evolutions, I love all those short stories. I especially hope she sees Headhunters before she plays Reach

A couple of my least fav things from Halo legends is the inaccuracies in the Origins episodes, and the weird art choices for The Package like Halsey's young age and the covies having green blood lol.
