The mass bias location on an asymmetric core determines how early the ball wants to read the lane. The more kicked out to the right the sooner the ball will read. Great review! Fun watching you grow as bowler.
Two handed lofting is a whole diff ball game. It messes up our timing. That and because we're focused on lofting we tend to slow our approach so we lose ball speed. Personally I roll my hand over the ball when i try to loft two handed so I just make a ball change to a weaker ball.
@@reptile9243 I would really wanna bowl you myself. I feel like, you're the ONLY one talking like you know what you're doing. Yet, I don't see you putting yourself out there and I also don't see any videos of you showing us what knowledge you know and can put into play. One thing you should know, reactive is actually strong, too strong for its own good on house shots. Not to mention beat up house patterns. But, I mean, you're the expert.

Absolutely loved the show! I hope people realize this is all for fun. A huge part of bowling is figuring out what ball is going to work on the lane you are given. So if you take any specific ball and use it on two random lanes it’s going to be nearly impossible to score high as it’s almost for sure your using the wrong ball. Doesn’t mean its not super enjoyable to watch. Just don’t judge the ball on the scores. Tanks Frank keep em coming!
I like it how he has a urethane to overcome that but at the same time I usually use something more tammer and more controllable like the iq tour edition but my benchmark ball is the phaze 3 very continuous and very smooth and has a lot of backend but anyways great video buddy keep up the good work
To clear it up 1.cg does not matter on syms and asyms and don't matter if you are a one handed or two handed bowler 2.Frank the mass bias is the asyms psa and where the core is closer to the cover of the ball
i don't know if you were just practicing lofting on the left lane was much more beat than the right but actually moving your feet forward a couple inches and looking a little further down lane will actually make your ball hook a little less you could also try throwing a bit harder to me it looks like your speed is around 16-17mph so if you could get it up around 17.5-18.5 that would significantly help your ball motion
Hey frank, do you tuck your pinkie during the approach? If not, I reccomend trying it. It will increase your hook and revs. I was able to hook a house ball like a pitch black because of it! Highly recommended!
I have a Hyroad pearl right now that I love. I like how easy it gets down the lane before hooking. But I’ve been eyeing this Halo Pearl. Do you see a benefit to a Halo Pearl being in my bag next to my hyroad pearl? I kinda want something I can hook the whole lane with. Idk if my hyroad pearl can do that. I’m a slower speed 2 handed btw. Thanks
Just curious, what’s your league average right now? You throw the ball pretty well for not a crazy amount of experience. I like how you keep it fresh and try out so many various bowling balls. It’s good for building a solid arsenal💯
Sadly my league average is only at 184. I made some mistakes in the first couple of weeks of league and now Raising my average is becoming a slow but steady process
Haha I understand completely. I’ve finally advanced my game to the point where I can shoot fairly high scores consistently but I was still figuring stuff out in the beginning so instead of being in the 220s I’m at a solid 214 right now. On the right track. I think you’ll be over 200 by next season for sure the way you throw
I love Roto, but this ball just looks terrible on these lanes. Not sure if it was just the conditions, or the layout, or spmething else... but it looks like it just goes downlane, changes direction, then gives up completely. Is this what people mean when they say a ball pukes downlane?
Hey Frank, really enjoy the contecnt you make. I started bowling roughly 3 weeks ago and asm going for the same style as you. Sadly I am at the edge of giving up..... . I for the love of god cant get it done. My arm or hand wont do what I want it too, I have excruciating pain after bowling and no matter how hard I try to fix my form I just cant get my body to do it. Ive bowled 89 games since starting 3 weeks ago. I would really appreciate if you could do a step by step guide to how you taught yourself this style. Like just a complete tutorial or tutorial series. the arm movement, fingers, steps, shoulders everything.
Well I wouldn’t want you to give up. I’ll do it but I’ve got a lot on my plate at the moment so Im gunna need some time to be able to make that kind of video but rest assured I will make it happen.
@Mansnotprot for just starting out, you shouldn’t be bowling such a large amount of games. Your muscles aren’t used to the motions, which is why you need to build up a tolerance. When I first tried the two-handed style, my elbow wasn’t used to the new motions and I wound up getting tendinitis. My advice to you is to make use of compression sleeves and / or KT tape.
Save The Tumors thanks for pointing that out to the guy. I made that mistake myself when I first tried the two handed style. Ended up having a pain in my backside and my arm. Luckily I heeled.
I don't know if you remember me but I asked you a about a week ago if the Storm Tropical Surge was a good ball to get as my first ball... Anyways I picked it up this week and on my first series I bowled with it i got my first game with no open frames with a score of 190! :)
Nice job. Now That’s what I’m talkin about. If it starts to feel to easy then it’s time to start moving up to balls that react a little more. The next level would be like a hustle ink or fever pitch
I have a friend who uses this bowling ball and it got a lot power he bowls two handed like me but I do it left handed and he does it right handed but we make a really good team we are also special Olympic athletes and we Continue to try to get better
I like that you did this video on burned out lanes, altough, burned out i would not really say, but at least used lanes and not fresh oil. Looking at your ball arsenal at 7:43 and the way you release, your ball roll and how you play the lanes, i can tell you are not used to Asymmetrical pearl coverstock bowlingballs. The only other asymmetrical pearl ball you have is the ASTROPHYSIX (minus the S at the end for your next show of arsenal) from what i can see. These types of balls are much more difficult to use, because of the snap they tend to have at the end, pearl in general, but asymmetrical much more. You should try to play the middle part of the lane more with these balls, it will store more energy in the ball and thus give more power into the pins, giving you that BANG sound. I have seen you throw balls in this video where your ball starts to get in the roll phase WAY too early, so it loses all its energy during the hook phase, or maybe even during slide phase, hard to tell if not zoomed in. Not trying to be negative here, just trying to hand you out some tips on how to play these type of balls, so you can get the most out of it. I would suggest playing another few games, on a used house pattern, and play somewhere at board 28 at the arrow, and let it slide to around the 14-16 board to get it to the pocket. You should notice a difference in the pin action and see more power. Let me know if you tried this, how it worked for you
Sweet vid. Crazy how much that thing hooks. Just wondering if you ever thought of getting rid of balls or just going to keep them maybe as a collection. (I’m also a two hander) I’m just in the hunt for new balls.
I was actually thinking about selling the ones I’m not using so that I can make space for new ones But I’m not sure when or how yet I’m gunna do all of that yet.
Was thinking the same thing unfortunately when u try to model your game after somebody which in his case is Belmo u tend to do what they do. Hence the huge step left

For me personally I have a mixed feel about it. it’s a bit difficult to use because it hooks a lot. And I have to play somewhat deep because I don’t have the ball speed
I admit that at around this time, my form and power was not great. I suggest you Check out some of my more recent content. Huge difference now compared to when this video was made
- if you look to far down the lane, you'll lose speed, and revs on the ball. Especially as a 2 hander. Most look at arrows, dots, or even at the foul line.
That’s what I want to do. But that’s gunna take quite some time. I know in my heart and mind that I’m not ready for that. I’ve still got a whole lot to learn before I can get to that level.
