One of my favourite games from my childhood and teenage years, love seeing this great story mode destroyed in just under 2 hours. Shame about all the unlucky moments in this run, especially for Pedrogas :( EDIT: Also, I appreciate the couch guy telling possible non-Reach players about the actual game components and stuff in the game that most people would probably not mention, like the ship names and types of enemies.

Halo Reach was the greatest multiplayer experience I've had in a video game, including the campaign. Legendary is a horrifying experience, but the runners killed it.

Reach is more RNG based as the others, because of that you need to learn how to deal between 5 to 25 ways on how the level can occur obviusly some are faster than others and can cost +3 minutes

The Skirmishers are actually explained in Reach lore. They were common during the Fall of Reach, but due to heavy causalities were more or less wiped out by the end of it.

It's my first experience with all the games except Halo CE that I had on PC back in the days. I was never a big console gamer so I'm so grateful for MCC on steam because so far I really enjoy these games! The evolution of the mechanics and the cutscenes and the level design and the story, it just gets better with every game.

I unfortunately had to stop watching part way through, so I’m glad I can catch it here. Even if there was a lot of unfortunate events for the two runners, they still beat it on Legendary, I’ve never been able to do that

I loved the multiplayer for this game! I basically only used the Jetpack ability and me and my buddy (Who made his gamertag Noble4Emile4 in honor of the fallen badass) would destroy everything from the skies in a falcon. We had multiple perfections where we stayed in a falcon for the full game

I've done the Sniper mission, way faster by running past all the enemies and using the Forklift to phase through the gate, and simply running to the end. Enemies don't spawn if you use the forklift glitch, and it still hasn't been patched out yet. You can save 5-10 minutes this way.

We got bad RNG and enmies spawned in bad spots so we had to actually kill them, also we really wanted to show the armolock launch but it is hard to pull off

I just wish the campaign had more large-scale battles. The combat in the campaign feels so... condensed, I guess? Considering the Reach conflict was mostly made up of huge battles, it was a letdown for me. Chalk it up to the 360's hardware limitations, I think. =/

@@TX_LoveGame More likely engine limitations. Also I didn't hear much about mediocre multiplayer from critics of Reach. The issue that a lot of people had is that it was too different compared to the other halo games.

Multiplayer was easily one of the best, they added great new gamemodes, it just it didn't really top Halo 3.

Reach was more a case of people not being able to cope with change, as well as 343s utter failure when it came to managing the game in Bungie's absence. The multiplayer was, in my opinion, pretty amazing and it took people a couple of years to be able to finally see that, hence why it still has people playing it.

The multiplayer was awesome, mechanically, although I still prefer 2's and 3's. What really killed it for me was the maps. Every map in the default game, barring Forge World, was a direct, unedited copy-paste of a campaign level. It felt lazy, uninspired, and lead to barely any symmetrical maps. The DLC fixed this with maps more in the style of 2 and 3, but it sucked having to pay extra just for the good maps. Thankfully they'll probably be included with the new MCC on PC, so we can finally get the best of both worlds.

The part where they were killing themselves with grenades to regain sprint just seems dumb. Wolfy literally had full sprint as he killed himself. How does that save time at all?

When I spawn he doesn't have sprint, it is really hard to time it perfectly

One sprints ahead while the other kills himself and spawns next to the sprinter. The sprinter runs out of sprint so he kills himself while his partner gains ground. It lessens the time that they are without sprint as only one needs to be running at a time.

Thank God for the poor dude on the couch single handedly doing all of the commentary. A good runner commentary is what makes a run really good, and these guys have literally stayed mute the entire fucking speed run even ignoring donations. It's sad because I was looking forward to watching this speed run a lot, but the two playing make it completely boring.

I actually answer the first donation but our mics were mute because this is a coop run and coordination is very important we were saying a lot of stuff about ammo, nades, checkpoints, enemies and we didn't want to overlap everything
