You played through the start of the game to halfway through New Alexandria in the same amount of time it took me to beat Long Night Of Solace on legendary. 48 minutes. Insane run.
Lol. I can understand that very well. It took me over 40 mins too. I had to find and use methods to reduce time in other levels to get the Run under 3 hours for the achievement. Lot of running took place for that achievement.
In the parts where he’s not glitching and is just straight up fighting, the gunplay is really impressive. Definitely agree it looks like a true Spartan at work. Hyper lethal vector.
I like both but just based on the fact that the Chief is a Spartan II walking tank who out-performed every other spartan of his generation, I'd say he isn't more lethal.
You had us in the first half, not gonna lie. That gold split for LNOS was something else... actually pretty much everything in this run was something else haha
Normal brain: Fight through waves of dropship-spawned enemies while waiting for Keyes Galaxy brain: Concussion boost up to the MAC cannon and delete the dropships before they can spawn enemies
Never seen a speedrun of Reach before, only seen the first mission so far and wow I don't even know what is going on, so many things that I didn't know were possible occur in the span of a few seconds...
thank you ive been running h2 and i always reset cuz i dont want embarrassing deaths or stupid ones on my PB. but now that i know that death on nightfall exists im going o finish alot more runs.
I can't seem to get the falcon to even fly in after the first bits of winter contingency, I'll have my plasma pistol ready and it just never flies in. Is there anything I need to do to get it to show up?
when he first pressed the button you see him run around and slam his face into the wall: that is the interior button of the elevator the game loads in when you hit the outside one, basically once the kill quota is reached the game's coop softlock prevention kicks in and teleports all players inside the elevator
if you go fast enough in that area the game will check to see if the hunters have been killed before they spawn, so it determines that since they don't exist they must have been killed and the elevator will open.
Wow dude, skipped that rekkie with a few minutes :p Got to love how after that very close catch on the falcon ride on tots, you earned enough EXP to level up the swagness. Going left side after cutscene FTW! Very ballsy, even with the death. Tots really was the turnaround for this run. From that point on the run got insanely good and LNOS really shows. So clean for a fg run, especially with how clutch door skip felt, the game giving you only 6 sniper bullets and a Robert. Just shows how crazy consistent you are to deal with those obstacles. For me personally exodus always feels stressy on leg (even on ILs) and I kinda felt the several "ow shit" moments you prolly had yourself :p Hammer, phantom nade and the beach part, that ending was nailbiting as well, but resulted in a good exo. Actually by summing those things up, exo felt pretty eager to kill the run... Or at least tried to. Glad it failed it's purpose cause you know ... Exodus :p Noice NA objectives (Falcon jammer skip always feels iffy, but at least NA was friendly all around), grabbing conc at sino actually seems free on leg as well (always wondered if it's something to go for and it seems like it is too). The telecom parking though, seclusive pls LMAO. The hunters were on point though with their shots though, not sure on this, but that small moment of stopping at 49:05 might have been a very smart detail play, cause I feel like he would have hit you if you just went ahead without stopping. Clap clap, rough NA to run against Package was weird wtf, that strange moment of silence with the revenant followed by matrixing all the fuel rods. Holy shit that was... a captivating moment for sure LMAO. Also I never noticed the ghost despawn after you do tankless, has that always been a thing. Imagine if the revvie AND ghost despawned there before the gate opens (naah, don't even wanna imagine it). Pretty sweet time for having bad spawns on second wave. Going for hunter phantom and third wave POG though! Can't imagine how fast your heartbeat was going on POA. It felt very different as well. I assumed you were going for firefight strats, so you shooting rockets earlier in the run threw me off guard. Cause that needler ammo was very, VERY, tight. Pretty big contrast compared to that fat conc ammo. You made every shot count at the end and you've utilised that conc ammo to it's fullest potential as well. Very cautious but big IQ play right there, glad it worked out. I can already imagine the big breath you took right before shooting that final mac cannon shot Well played again Seclusive, only a mere 4 minutes away from your SOB, pretty wild to think about that. GG's. Makes me eager to focus on getting closer to my own SOB the next few days and catch up with you a bit, so thanks for the inspiration :D Might have spotted some small details I've not been utilising so far myself in this run, cheers!
38:09 what happens here?? How does he go from one side of the Traxus building to the other side of the elevator in seconds? Was it a load time speedrun trick?
He activates the elevator button through the wall by first pressing the elevator button on the outside at 36:55 and then by pressing the one inside the elevator at 36:56 (you can hear the beep faintly). If you kill enough enemies that drop from the phantoms later on, you've already hit the next objective and game will go like "oh, wait player is not in elevator but pressed the elevator button, I'll just warp him inside"
He replied with this in another comment: "if you go fast enough in that area the game will check to see if the hunters have been killed before they spawn, so it determines that since they don't exist they must have been killed and the elevator will open." So basically: he go zoom zoom game go brrr
A bit late to answer. But explanation for that trick, he boosts the ghost and tilts the nose of it to make kt over the barricade. When that happens, you see him pause and drive a bit back at 9:09 There's a trigger which fairly matches up with the greyish line you see in the concrete floor. The moment you as the character (not the ghost) go over that line, a timer starts for when the hunters will spawn. The timer is very short, so the drive to the elevator must be clean. You know you hit it when the elevator marker shows up. It's a bit getting used to it for going fast but also land in that safe area where the hunter timer doesn't start. But it saves up a lot of time fighting those hunters and it's really worth it
This run strikes me as odd. Not suspicious, but just surprising. You show insane amounts of choking up and inaccuracy, yet you still managed to come out on top. I see reds on half the campaign, and big ones... yet you managed to turn it around. Good job.
How the fuck does he get past the Ghosts in ONI Sword base When I do the same maneuvers to get behind the rock somehow they get their cheating legendary burst out, managing to hit me the whole while, on his recording he's too fast for them, it makes no sense
That's basically the safe strat. The only reason I can think of you getting blasted there is that you're not boosting at full boost starting at the corner or you're getting in view too much. So hug the wall on the right a bit so the first ghost doesn't spot you too much (depending if it has a grunt or elite, if you see it's a grunt you can take it a bit more risky. So boost after turning around the corner to that rock for safety, let your boost recharge and boost again. That way you should make it 99% of the time
@@chaoschay4337 sorry for the confusion, i meant around 1:03:00 speedrun time, which is around 1:07:45 RU-vid time. I remember seeing 1Dayton jumping in the ghost and driving all the way from the MP map area to the Hunters, skipping all enemies on the way.
