Bungee missed out on a prefect ending here if you defeat lvl4 no more enemies should spawn and a covenant cruiser should fly over and glass the map finally killing you with a secret ending/achieve called unkillabull. Perfect ending to noble 6.
It just coldly watches you from far away, watching you fighting a hopeless battle while being torn apart by the Covie groundtroops. That phantom, or more so what it's doing is the scariest thing of the mission for me!
It's Called *Infinite wave* in Halo reach Lone wolf campaign. But Only four enemies, Unggoy and Sangheili and Covenant Wraith, and the Damn Covenant Spirits who just shot you from the sky. You already remember that part.
So, I calculated a maximum invasion-force for the invasion of reach to be 26.5 million troops, if you include the crew of the Long Night of Solace. So, assuming a kill-rate of 1 per 2 seconds, Noble 6 will fend off the covenant invasion after a mere 613.4 days.
@@Sikorsky1111 I mean, he could maybe eat the flesh of his enemies... And with all the massive laser blasts in bodies of water, there will probably be a lot of storms (i.e. rain) only *slight* problem is lack of sleep. I don't think even Spartans can last almost 2 years without sleeping
Take a min to think about the Covenant’s perspective... You’re a raiding party on (what ever planet) with a Wraith supporting you, you’ve been wiping out Marine fighters pretty easily so far. But then you spot a human in much larger armor come *sprinting* at you, as the wraith fires you think that’ll be it, job done. But the smoke clears and you see the fragments of a bubble shield fading as they are *still sprinting at you* guns firing they charge at the grunts and either execute them as they run past or destroying their gas tanks and leaving them to suffocate, destroying elites shields and stabbing them under the jaw and then jumps on the tank and starts *PUNCHING IT* Like..... wtf are you gonna do?
Yell plot armor. That shouldn't happen in the first place xD A couple of golden Elites should have been enough to waste him, given what the game has established and not an entire platoon with artillery support.
@zak Skye What? No! I'm talking about a fan made comic where at the end they had Jun climb a space elevator to escape Reach. The dude literally climbed an entire space evac elevator! Don't believe me? Look it up. "Jun's escape from Reach" on RU-vid.
"Hey guys, what happens if I mod the game so that the thing that was supposed to happen doesn't happen? Well, nothing happens! Thanks for watching everybody."
In canon, Six lasted almost a full day fighting off 1000s of Covenant forces. Alone, he actually severely crippled the invading forces, and made thier takeover of Reach much slower
I don't remember the Covenant purpose was to invaded Reach in the first place. The book seems to emphasize that the moment they knew what the fuck is truly going on, they glass the entire planet to sky high, completely cripple the UNSC.
@@garvielloken9356 The Covenant had three purposes for invading Reach. First was to reclaim/capture Forerunner relics that were detected to be on the Planet. Second was to wipe out the strongest Human planet in thier records and find information leading to the human home planet (they did not know where Earth was). Third was to deal a crippling blow to Humans by destroying the largest threat the pose against the Covenant (the Spartan Program).
There is a damage counter that triggers the Cutscene, if you take a set amount of damage over the course of the entire mission the cutscene plays regardless on if you die iirc
@Alex Luca Everytime I try it at like 10 minutes a general just kicks them over and I proceed to get blasted by a glassing beams worth of plasma. I only saw a youtuber get to 30 minutes haha
He did it to see what would happen if you stop the loop, a lot of games have hidden endings so he was seeing if there could be one instead of wasting a lot of patience and time to reach it the normal way.
@@commandandconquer6303 nah, by adding a loop with no spawns the loop will never reach the end, so even if the game had a secret ending in that manner, it would never get there because he added another loop with no spawns and the sequence would never trigger because of that.
Also it would have showed how bad-ass Noble 6 was, The Covenant sent a cruiser to deal with him, to glass the valley just to deal with this "Demon"! Now that would have been cool, and a far more fitting end for "The Hyper-lethal Vector" called Noble 6.
@@ginjaninja-sv6oz Was stated to be because *WE* were Six, every one of us going through our own story, so they let us decide the ending, did we want to go out with a bang against impossible odds? or did we defeat those odds and make it to relative safety?
@@sharpshot621 I think "The Devil's Godfather" or something among those lines would be nice too. Especially if you survive for a certain amount of time on Legendary. They call Master Chief "Devil" because of... well... A shit load of ass beating. So it would be a nice reference. Now I'm just imagining a meme like: 2 grunts talking about Reach, suddently one of them have a PTSD attack. Grunt A: Why are you shaking you damn coward?! It's not like the Devil was there! Grunt B: It's not the Devil, man. The devil doesn't scare me. But that... *Points at Noble 6* ...thing. That thing scares me.
Thats perfect for an alternate ending, 1: you die, 2: you get glassed, 3: you take shelter in a cave while *armor locking*...achievement unlocked "I have become death, the destroyer of worlds"
They should've made this a legendary alternate ending, defeats all the covenant in that area, finally gets a moment to breath in his final moments while witnessing the glassing of reach approach him slowly. Dying by glass instead of a sword. Keeps the lore of nobles fate on reach intact. Just would've been cool at least to have.
Escalation 5 is straight up Tartarus being deployed from a Phantom and smashing Noble Six. Ya know, because Thel is already pursuing the Pillar of Autumn.
@@Noble708 I mean, the Arbiter definitely isn't your average elite, but the point stands. Noble 6 is at least in the same ballpark as Master Chief and Arbiter, so he'd definitely give Tartarus more than his gorilla ass asked for.
Foreman: "Shipmaster, we've came across one of the humans" Shipmaster: "Just send the Zealots to kill it" Foreman: "Yeeeaahhhh no, we can't" Shipmaster: "Can't? Well why not?!" Foreman: "He killed them all, even the support we sent. Like no one is left to deploy him" Shipmaster looks around to see him and the Foreman left, he sits back in a huff. Shipmaster: "Purifiy it, maybe then it'll die" Foreman: "Yeeaahhh about that, our ship is the only ship left. He took out the Fleet...." Shipmaster: "Oh for th-"
If you manage to beat Lone Wolf, that means you (more or less) single-handedly defeated the ENTIRE Covenant fleet invading Reach, something that the ENTIRE UNSC couldn't do. You would have to kill possibly MILLIONS of Covenant to complete the objective to "Survive".
Most of the covenant werent on reach when six was making his stand. The covenant simply sent zealot squads to kill him. So he wouldnt have to kill them all just the ones sent after him then hide or make it to a spot that wouldnt be glassed
@@warpuppythedragon659 Best to assume the worst-case scenario and assume Noble 6 is going against all of the Covenant that invaded Reach. Makes the numbers more daunting.
@@warpuppythedragon659 That begs the question; why did they even bother sending squads to kill one single soldier? Did it have something to do with their samurai like culture? I know that Arbiter led the attack on Reach and even went and led a ground assault on a base. He found the Marines were completely unprepared for battle and order his men to wait until they were ready. Which is so fucking badass by the way. But yeah, is that why they even bothered sending squads, and thus losing an untold number of units, to kill Six?
"It's an infinite loop". End of the video; anything past that is just messing around with scripts and making up terms for the sake of content and milking that sweet Raid: Shadow Legends sponsorship. What a waste of time.
It'd be really cool if they'd added an alternate cutscene where Jun goes to rescue you, quoting Carter from the beginning of the game: "Carter said to leave the lone wolf stuff behind. Well. Here we are. Are you coming or what?" Or something like that.
@@Starfloofle another chilling implication is that oni has the 2nd most deadliest spartan ever Halo 5 would have been the shit, noble 6 hunting down chief and mc hears the stories of how deadly noble is
The fact that noble six was stabbed by like the wrist blade he was stabbed by in the beginning of reach is poetic, but this proves that six is alive and is in a cave.
@Montes Romero idk if your to say he would be old but chief was an s2 so he’s been alive longer and 6 is a 3 so he would be younger since s3 where orphans to
Imagine if there were multiple endings to Reach? What if there was a secret ending when Six survived for 5 hours? We'd get a cutscene where he is walking towards a cliff, stops, and gazes upon the flames in the distance? And when he's done, he puts on his helmet, turns and begins to walk offscreen. Or for a Legendary ending: We'd get a cutscene very much like the one w have now, but instead of falling on his back he's still slaying and slaying, then we see a hero Pelican diving in from the distance, laying waste to enemies behind Six with its massive auto-cannons... and in one quick pickup, Six jumps into the back, we see the Pelican doing a 360, going back in the direction towards the players camera off-screen, but the thrusters on the Pelican cause the helmet on the ground to roll, and we see the Pelican flying away into the distance. After that, the screen turns black... and so, we all know that cutscene part where Halsey is talking in the background? Well take that concept, mute Halsey, and have the screen pan down from the mountain, and focus on Six's helmet. Next few moments later, we see a Spartan's hand reach down, and lift it from the ground. The camera jumps to behind the figure, and gives us a clear view of Six (of course wearing a new helmet) holding and gazing upon it. Next we see him look up into the sky, and the camera pans slowly, upwards into the sky. And thus in conclusion: We get the original cutscene we know of now, regardless of what happens.
Too bad this didn't happen. Otherwise, Six could have been the one hunting down Chief in Halo 5. Hyper-lethal vs. Hyper-lethal. "Chief, I'm bringing you in sir." "Not until I've found Cortana." "You owe me Chief, you wouldn't have made it off Reach, found the Halo if it weren't for Noble team."
"Sire, the spartan, it's still alive, all our troops have been slaughtered!" "What? Heresy! Where is the imp, we will glass him then his planet!" "It is underneath us!" "Wort?!" Noble 6, with is trusty one shot one kill assault rifle, looks up and promptly shoots down the covenant fleet with one shot each. He finds a computer and the UNSC-tube algorithm directs him to Mint Blitz, here he learns the art of catapulting his body to High Charity, saving the galaxy and living a nice life on his tropical space island, the end
@@MothFable Yeah. On legendary after the final boss, a cutscene is triggered in which Escheraum slaps John-117 so hard with his gravity axe, that he slams right into a Forerunner wall, knocking the wind right out of him. The Weapon's voice is then screaming at Chief to get up while the stalwart Spartan struggles to his feet only to look up and see Escheraum standing over him, with axe blades glowing blood red, raised above his head, executioner style. A ghastly, grotesque smile slowly spreads across his face, laughing at Chief while he struggles to get up and triumphantly shouts, "YOU'VE LOST, SPARTAN!!! WE...THE BANISHED...HAVE WON!!! AND NOW NO ONE SHALL OPP-," the Brute's rant is interrupted with the deafening crack of a Stanchion sniper rifle. The tiny, yet powerful projectile slams into the brute's skull so hard that all that's left is a headless corpse that crashes to the floor with the still-glowing blades of the gravity axe, barely scratching Chief in the neck, but not enough to puncture the suit. An errie silence fills the air followed by distant footfall. The weapon tells Chief to zoom in his visor towards the direction of the muffled, but audible noise. The visor picks up a humanoid shape in the distance and scans for an ID tag. Then it cuts to an angled face shot of Chief, followed 3 seconds later by a high-pitched double beep, with Chief saying in utter disbelief, "It can't be." The Weapon asks what's wrong, to which Chief replies, "The only other HLV." Game cuts to black.
Anyone else remember about how on the 360 reach you take no damage and beat all the covenant on lone wolf you would still get the same ending but the helmet wouldn’t be broken or is that a forgotten thing?
I remember luring the wraith inside of the boundaries and fucking up the covies with it after I hijacked it, it respawns more after so it becomes a mortar match
It would be cool IF you managed to kill the horde of covies, it skips to a cutscene where noble six tiredly looks up with a sea of dead covenant around him to see a cruiser about to glass him. Takes a whole ass ship to take out noble six.
Shoulda made Escalation 5 spawn zealots and field marshals. Then after 100 kills it goes to Escalation 6, where it spawns nothing but B.O.B. Elites but they're all either weaponless and just sort of angrily huddle around you, or they do nothing but use the evade armor ability in random directions.
When i first played through halo reach’s campaign when i got to lone wolf i remember about the cutscene for noble 6’s death so when i saw “Current Objective: survive” i just grenaded myself and got the cutscene
It would've been nice if he said in the first 10 seconds that there was no ending to the waves and they could go on forever, that would've been a very cool thing to do.
Fun fact if u look at the bodies on the ground. They are other Spartans that went there to die basically that spot is where other lone wolf spartans go to fight till they die like a suicide of some sort
I know it sounds like "General Heed" but he's actually saying "Generalkid." Its weird, I know... but its something with his accent I think... or it may be how he says it. :/
I don't think he survived the Fall of Reach (confirmed by Halsey's eulogy "all burned and turned to glass"), but a sound case can be made that he survived that particular elite squad and committed suicide by glassing beam shortly thereafter. Doesn't contradict canon since he still technically dies (That's how my Noble Six dies anyway. How does yours die?)
Finds a covie refueling station.... Makes station go boom and take a few cruisers with it. Realizing that there's a 0% chance of escape, takes off his helmet before detonating. Dies while flipping the bird to the covies trying to stop him via the kaboom he made. Didn't even give them the satisfaction of killing him XD.
Raid ads are funnier when it's Internet Historian shitpost level or Nortern shitpost level, but I don't mind now, since there are worst ads appearing and I need fire to beat fire.
i used to play this mission when i was little not knowing that you literally couldn’t beat it💀 i got so frustrated too, thanks for telling me 10 years later
Here’s another lone wolf question. In this mission taking health damage causes cracks in your visor, not most players die before seeing all stages of the cracking. Can you show what all cracking animations look like and how many stages of cracking the helmet actually has? How far can we damage it if death was not a limiting factor?
basically at the end your interface is disabled, kinda like the blind skull on halo 2, when i first played the game i didnt know that you were not supposed to live so I had like a 20 minute fight on legendary, it was traumatising
I think what would really compliment this "alternate ending" would be a sort of alternate cutscene. We see Noble 6 looking up at the sky as its littered with Covenant laying siege on the planet, glassing every last inch of it. The last phantom has left the area, leaving 6 with no company but that of his fallen spartan comrades and sworn sangelli enemies. He takes his helmet off, dropping it to the ground as he realizes there is no point fighting his fate. Even as he stands, he is no different from the corpses he left at his blood-stained boots. The camera stays behind him as he awaits his death at the hands of the Covenant. His fight is over.
Imagine 6 actually surviving lone wolf and managing to group up with a spartan 2s that got stuck on reach. It'd be pretty cool if this was the first game or maybe came out after CE and you got to play as Chief, Aribter and 6 in halo 3 or something like that. Chief and 6 would be an interesting team up I reckon.
Lmao y'all thought I died. I was stabbed in the chest by the arbiter, he barely missed my heart. I was taken prisoner on the ship that glasses reach. Turns out Emile was barely alive. They put us together in the same cell and expirmented on the others. Months later, Emile and I escaped, but the came after us. He was better and stayed to hold them off. So here I am.
Modded the game to not spawn more enemies and gave yourself instakill? I don't know why anyone would think something would happen. It's not really winning, or even killing all the enemies because it's just modded to not spawn any enemies hahaha
I could imagine Bungie leaving a secret ending where if you survive all 4 escalations, the Covenant just decide to glass you from a Corvette-Class Cruiser.
After wave 4 it should have switched perspectives so you play as an energy sword elite and have to take down noble 6. Or even play as that one elite that was stalking them through the game "allegedly"
I think it honestly would have been a great idea to make two different endings. Ending 1) you die as you normally would here Ending 2) you survive the Covenant armada thrown at you, but your Spartan disappears into the depths of Reach, hoping to find other survivors and await rescue or escape from the planet.
I feel like they should have made it beatable just to crush your dreams of an alternate ending and reality setting in that you are not meant to survive
Imagine if there were alternate endings, after defeating a set number of enemies you see a short cutscene that shows that the covenant orbital bombardment is getting near, at this point you're given the objective to find shelter and a timer starts, if the time runs out the game ends with a cutscene where Noble 6 is caught in the blast of the bombardment and is vaporized, but if you do find a bunker the game ends with a cutscene where Noble 6 locks himself inside the bunker, then, after the bombardment ends and the covenant forces retreat he calls for extraction and we see him boarding a pelican right outside the bunker's entrance.
But there was a cutscene where N6 is standing on like a cliff overlooking the swarm of a covenant sweep. Is that like a legendary ending thing or what?
I think it would've actually been cool if Bungie did make an alternate cutscene if you manage to survive Lone Wolf. They could still imply that Noble 6 died (maybe by showing the planet getting glassed or something), it just wouldn't be the noremal cutscene with the elites.
Here's a fun idea I had. Fan campaign, along the lines of Spartan Ops(using multiplayer/campaign areas for maps) that follows an alt universe where Noble catches up to the UNSC. That'd be a pretty neat thing to do, once mod tools are opened to the public.
Oh... So you're telling me that when you remove all enemies from a map, all there is left to do is to run around the empty map? WOW! Super interesting video and definitely not just an uninspired slapped together Raid Shadow Legends plug. What a waste of time as if having to listen to you ramble with no script wasn't wasting it beforehand
Im curious as to how arbiter would survive because I remember one point in one of the halo movies of his origin stories he cleared a whole army of elites with swords on his own so what if he was in the 4th escalation and fought through those elites 🤔
I remember playing this game during the stay at home ordinance. A masterpiece in my opinion as to what happened to the Spartan’s home planet. 🥺 I also read halo: fall of reach (a book) and the lore ties in pretty damn well.
They should of had a wave 5 of just every covenant type and vehicle thrown at you, including scarabs. They for sure would do that for a Spartan like him once they found out. I think that would have been a great way to fight to the end.
I like to think that after you use the MAC gun to cover the Autumn, 6 would have been listed as MIA but actually just grabbed a pelican that either was in a hangar and still flyable, or hopped on one evacing troops. But by that point 6's armor is wrecked from intense fighting with no maintenance, and thus is given a set of MK5 standard like Master Chief (Remember the gunnery Sgt's lines in Halo2 about how Chief's MK5 armor was on the point of collapse? That shit does break eventually.) . So when you play Halo1 in Co-Op you have the Chief and 6 wearing identical armor. Plus if you play Reach in legendary you get to look around in the one cutscene and see Chief in the cryo chamber, further enforcing the idea that 6 made it onto the Autumn and was never listed as recovered (probably thanks to ONI wanting their lone wolf back). The whole "Lone wolf: Survive" thing is actually just the player as a final spartan who couldnt get out putting up a heroic last stand, alongside all the other spartans you can see already dead in the map. Or if you play Halo1 and beyond solo then 6 did die on Reach and its just the Chief being a hyper lethal actor. Thats my head cannon.
The thing about Noble Six is that, in all likelihood, he is dead. But there is that *slim* chance, that *tiny* possibility, that he is not. And that hope? It's nice to believe in once in a while....
