I'm super excited for season two, I have full confidence they can work out the kinks and make a killer season.

Girl, if you like Pablo Schreiber's acting and want him to see him in something different, this show Candy on Peacock just ended and hes is in it, playing a completely diferent time of man. Its just 5 episodes.

Master Chief gave Makee that Combat Evolved treatment 😉 She was all swooning and ready to betray the Covenant. But of course Halsey screwed things up.

I love this show too. But in my case, I'm guessing it's because I was never that married to the idea that it should be a(n overly) faithful adaptation of the game since, although I am familiar enough with the game lore and played it way back when, I was not as much into it as other folks who were. Other reactors I've been watching (like Angry joe) seem to absolutely hate what they've done with it, and I understand their complaints. I just think I'm able to enjoy it since I'm treating it like the 'different-or-at-least-separate-from-the-source-material' piece of entertainment that it is. Which I think is the best way to enjoy it since no TV show or movie adaptation was ever going to do a 100% justice to the game. I think a lot of people went into it thinking it was going to be the shoot-ey shoot-ey "BOOM!" explosion-ey kind of show (like the game) - and not entire unreasonably, (and to be fair we've had some of that), but the show has instead been more of a 'Lore' exposition almost drama series with a focus on the backstory to the events of the fall of Reach (their version of it, at least). And I'm loving it. But then again, I'm coming from an 'The Expanse' level of sci-fi expectation so it doesn't bother me to it seems "slow". The story is great (.....so far).

ugh just when I started to like Makee and she was about to switch to the human side here comes the humans frying her up like Bojangles chicken I hope master chief can get to her in time before they kill her off cause that look Admiral Parangosky was giving was pure hate. Also did recongnize that Makee is Charlie Murphy lol that short blond hair really changed her looks loved her in Love/Hate, Peaky Blinders, and Happy Valley

So I'm just gonna say it: I would rather watch an entire show centered around Kai instead of this version of John. I don't hate John, i really don't. But i also don't care about him, he doesn't intrigue or interest me. Kai successfully does both for me. And again, I'm not saying that John is a bad protagonist.. but on a personal level, he doesn't resonate with me. Kai has an engaging personality, something that I absolutely gravitated towards with Noble Team in Halo Reach. John is badass, but even in a show that supposedly delves more into the man behind the armour, i find him bland. I get it, he's the main character in the game, and i myself would find it wrong if he wasn't that for the show. That being said, she has genuine main-character potential for a spin-off, in my opinion. I'd watch it, anyways.

It's funny that you mentioned "fan fiction" after watching this episode. I've been having a tough time with this show. I want it to succeed but I also want the Master Chief I've watched/played for over 2 decades. After watching this episode, I posted on a friend's Discord that I'd figured out how to watch it without being ticked-off half the time. Just look at it like fan fiction and that's it. I read Mass Effect fan fiction and all of a sudden Liara is a futanari who really wants Jack, well .. whatever, sure, alright. I'm using that same energy from here on out with Halo. 🤣 I'm still going to hold out hope for an actual Halo movie with the game canon Master Chief and Bungie being the advisors.
