As a kid I used to think she was saying "just us and echoes" and always wondered why echo 419 was never in any of the other games, and wanted to know who the other echoes were.
Hey did you know Johnson was apart of the Orion project? So he was basically a spartan, which made it hard for the flood to infect him. Also there’s a few different videos on how he escaped and this wasn’t tone of them
If you had the original Xbox and original game it is on it I did it before the pc has a mod to escape but on original Xbox you just survive it’s been so long since I played it tho but it’s only on the original game
I was 8 years old the first time I played this game. Fell in love instantly. I'm 29 now and still play the campaign from time to time. Nothing compares in my opinion lol
How did so many people become convinced that this was actually in the original game? Did nobody here ever actually play the original? Or am I just getting old?
Well I can't say I tried this in the original, so it was plausible up until the quality dropped slightly as it went on. A good mod for an alternate ending to be sure!
Well maybe a bit old assuming you played it as it first came out beings I was born 4 years prior and I consider my self a fully conscious and aware being but I did play the original so
@@ryanrodriguezmartinez I think you're just joking, but just in case someone takes it seriously... That can't be Foehammer because A) Foehammer (AKA Carol Rawley) was female and that marine was male, B) a pilot would not wear marine armor, and C) Assuming she survived the crash, an unarmed, unarmoured, non-combat trained and most likely injured pilot couldn't get past the Flood, Sentinels, and whatever Covenant were still around. Especially ahead of a Spartan. Also, this ending is not canon. I don't want to be rude or start an argument, I just wanted to clarify in case someone thought it really was Foehammer.
Vinnycarpentino117 really? You didn't know that the shotgun was the second best weapon to destroy banshees? Now I have to ask you if you played Halo CE when it first came out.
Anyone else get nostalgic chills..? I cant believe it's been 18 years since I first played and after countless hours, beat Halo to experience this scene. Time sure flies...
@@diegogonzalez9086 pretty easy. I could see the bullet coming and he had around 3 seconds to maneuver so skill takes over. Plus if you play a game with for so long youd be suprised at how fast you learn when enemies are gonna shoot devastating blows or attack in general
And the timer would have run out long before he got on the longsword. Before the crash: 3 minutes on the timer before detonation. After the crash: 10+ minutes when you include time spent crashing, waking up, flipping a large aircraft, getting it started, and lifting off.
Ya it makes sence also it is a mod for a game that game out over 15 years ago kiddo times have changed not everything is your little call of duty black ops 4 and fortnite
how tf do you hit a banshee from that far, with a s h o t g u n edit; this satirical comment made a large discussion in the replys, go check it out. 5:42
That audio playing over the top of the ending audio when you escape and the ring is destroyed is the same issue I always get when I finish the maw in Halo Master Chief collection
@@bmeeker2 This glitch would occasionally happen even on the original version. A frustrating bug for sure. It really kind of ruins the feeling of the ending cinematic.
i really want them to fix it lol, thankfully it didnt play the first time i played a couple years ago (i missed out growing up) but this most recent time it did and i could not tune it out it ruined the whole vibe and i was just like :3 LOL
yea they commandeer the covenant carrier instead of detonating the cruiser and just send out a transmission "yea all good here no humies on this planet" reach = saved
This brings back so many memories i remember playing Halo combat evolved on my 360 and actually trying this and i was raging so hard cause i kept dying everytime i tried getting on top of the pelican.😔
The actual ending was so much more tense and climactic. This mod is interesting, but the music is boring and there is zero chance of running out of time. There also appears to be very little challenge. I expected at the very least a basic driving sequence in the warthog rather than a 10 second drive from point A to point B. Still a cool concept though.
Anyone else felt sorry for killing the aliens, knowing that they were just being forced to fight, especially when you would find 1 or 2 alone just trying to escape? I always tried to leave alive the ones that weren't in my path or could avoid
I actually believed this and I did it when I was about to finish Halo CE on Steam (PC). **Sigh** you got me. I thought it was a real 2nd ending or something. Lol. I was doing the legendary playlist and had to restart the warthog run. 😩 Edit: Well at least he landed and helped ODST squad Fireteam Raven team, lol.
Sgt Johnson: *Sees exploding Pillar of Autumn, stops shooting and turns to nearby elite* "This is it baby, Hold me." *Hugs it out with elite.* *Elite reaches down and grabs a handful of cheek.*
@@lmao_lol_xd Johnson's fuckery only happened for the anniversary and MCC CE. I played the original back on the first Xbox. It was the Elite grabbing cheek then. I finally played the MCC version for PC and it was Johnson with the stray hands. Imagine my nostalgic disappointment... of course I watched the "pretty graphics" version of the cutscene not the classic version. I'll be running another playthrough just to see the game with the classic graphics. I just wish that I could have switched between updated graphics and classic during cutscenes instead of either/or.
Lol I miss custom edition, Halo PC at its prime right there what a game and the community of modders was absolutely amazing back then, that would have been nice for an optional alternative ending if they only thought of doing that with the series but mine the less 10/10 I do likey 😀
yea i thought it was a real alternate route but then looked at the video description to see, its a mod for halo CE, this video is 4 years old and its still tricking people unintentionally. though, now that i think about it, would be pretty tight if every mission had an alternative route/progression, imagine halo CE being the first fps to actually do that, just toss that onto the pile of things this fps did to revolutionize the genre.
To anyone who is watching this right now this is a mod so you don't get confused because this was not in the original game that I had there is no secondary ending except when you fail to complete the level. So anyone who was watching this this is just a mod and nothing else
I was just a kid when CE came out in 2001. Me and my friends used to come up with our own endings like this because we could never beat the maw in time haha
I never knew about this ending till now. I'll have to go back and play that level. There is a special scene at the end on Legendary that the Elite hugs the soldier part.
I remember when I was a little kid playing the original CE... I tried this thousands of times and gave up here I am to this day realizing how stupid I am.
