I came back, because when xbox players are finally brought into helldivers 2, this will be the charging into battle song. Helldivers Spartan Division, ready up! (Or the OG Helldivers Division... work inprogress 😅)
i actually went looking for this bc the symphonic orchestra i play in is performing it and im just listening to the original so i can read the sheet music better JSNAJDNSJDJD
This is the best theme song of all time to me. It brings back memories of my childhood playing split-screen Halo: Combat Evolved with my little Brother. Great times!
My father passed away this year, I remember when I was a kid we played Halo together and he bought every game, At dinner we would talk about how the Autumn's captain, Jacob Keyes, had sacrificed so much. And how brave Sgt. Avery Johnson was. My father would ask me which way to go whenever he couldn't find his way, and I would often have to tell him that this was the way we came. Now that I think about it, he probably did it on purpose so we could enjoy the game together. We played Halo over and over again without getting bored. I think that was my happiest time. I'm really missing him.
Marty O'Donnell did for Halo what John Williams did for Star Wars. The man never failed to set the atmosphere perfectly and there's literally not a single bad or forgettable soundtrack in Bungie Halo
How badly do you have to drop the ball as a gaming company, to not only have a ton of money specifically for employee retention, to state you weren't going to lay off any employees, but then not only do you lay off a bunch of employees, you lay off Michael Salvatori, one of the two composers for this iconic song!
Its just so unfortunate. At its core, Destiny is a fantastic game, Bungie is great at making wonderful worlds and stories, great feeling gameplay, engaging raids/dungeons/encounters; the devs are extremely talented. But because of the neverending greed incentivized by our current economic system, the game is in such a terrible spot. It's sad, I adore the world of Destiny, but with how things currently are, its just a chore to play at this point.
@@gabrielacosta9470 I mean based on the timing of the comments and what's currently going on, i'm pretty sure that's about destiny. Bungie fired a ton of people, notably including Salvatori, who composed this piece with O'Donnell, which is why that's posted here. I'm pretty sure, at least
2024 and I literally just sat in my room shedding tears while this played, I’ve never felt nostalgia like this before. This game was a different breed. This theme song was crafted so perfectly and was right in tune with the game as well. I can speak forever about it… I’d do anything to get those times back but I know just like myself and most of you, we are in our 30s now. Life is tougher and responsibilities are plenty but this right here was a privelage to hear.
Halo is more than just a game. This was God's gift. Real emotions, Real attachment. The pain in my heart wishing I could go back in time when life was good. Thank you Halo, Thank you Spartans and Long Live Master Chief. NEVER FORGET.
@@Yutyrannid8705 Hey buddy. Please, you need to experience it yourself. Play Halo 1-4 especially! 5 onwards and Halo Infinite, the companies changed but the games are still good. But nothing compares to the original series Halo 1-4. Get ready to get chills whenever you hear that famous opera intro. Hope you enjoy.
I’m OG and played Halo on Xbox1 in 2002. I can’t listen to this without hearing my own machine gun firing and me running through the levels in a cautious panic. Love the Series.
You're not there for nothing You have searched it If it's true, you can hear the crowd ... The crowd of so many boys who grew up to men Here you are, Spartan ! You're with your brothers You're home
@@mattygp1138 you know man, I guess Fortnite for kids now it's just like how we saw Halo back in the days... I'm not justifying them or comparing the two games either (Halo is on another planet)... I guess what really matters is in which period of your life you play it.
I’ve been replaying all the campaign on legendary, Halo 2 was such a cunt but worth the play with the new graphics. Currently playing co-op with my homie, Halo 3 is pretty easy rn. Just clapped the first Scarab
Doesn’t matter what different opinions, beliefs, customs, etc., all differences are thrown out when we play Halo or listen to its music. Halo is one of those few series that is able to break past all barriers between different peoples and unite us all as brothers and sisters. I’m glad to be here again with all of you, my brothers and sisters! Here’s to our future collaborations and our future generations’ collaborations! 🍻🥂🍾
@@codeyisafk9487 he probably says that, because, here, in Russia, for example, Halo was never popular, since it was only on XBOX and history with consoles was always difficult here, and most of the games doesn't even have official localization. I don't know about other Europe but, unfortunately, Halo was never cult classic here, like Call of Duty, for example. Hell, i only started this series last month and having a blast, and I knew zero things about it (aside from main character, of course), despite being a hardcore player.
@@alonemax2912I mean the original was on PC in the form of Halo Custom Edition adapted by Gearbox, Halo 2 as well, and Russia got the PC Halo 3 used in ElDewrito, RIP. Idk about 4 and 5 but they definitely did come. So it had the potential
This year for Christmas, my cousins and I played through Halo Reach Campaign on Legendary. We had so much fun, we're gonna do our best keeping it an annual tradition. That being said, halfway through we stopped to eat dinner. Afterwards, we chatted with the family on some of the latest drama with some extended relatives. I bring all this up, because we left on Halo on the title screen in the other room, so you can hear this theme faintly, while we were chatting. When everyone was silent, I commented, "Damn, the Family Lore hits different with the Halo Theme in the background". I'm pretty sure everyone was in tears after that comment. Easily one of my best Christmases ever!
@@bluepuggamingbpg621 1. I knew it was a joke so I counter attacked with my own it was just so funny it went over your head and burned your hair you now look like homer Simpson hahaha I win.
Aero Zeppelin we all know it wasn’t a joke. If it was than you need to stop making them. You said it so serious and with no sarcastic wording. Your humor is probably saying something offensive then saying “just kidding” when people get offended.
Bro they better brace themselves for all there talk about fascism after the last four years of shit they put us through we’re about to show them fascism…
It’s been 23 years since this masterpiece came out and the original Halo servers for Xbox are being shut down. I remember playing this game when I was five years-old. I was forbidden by my Mom because of its violence but I’d always find a way to sneak in some gaming. This series was a huge part of my childhood and I’m forever grateful for all the Spartans I’ve met along the way. It has been an honor serving with you all. We’ve made lots of memories together throughout the years and I’ll never forget killing off those alien bastards. The 2000’s were the best days to be a kid and I’d give anything to go back.
@@istazo83 Agreed! But I'm a female and even though I don't play the games myself, I like Halo 1's theme and it's still a classic theme from a very nostalgic game! 😊😉😀
