It's not that the Kodiak doesn't work, just the rotation animation in lockdown is very clunky and not smooth. And I don't know about you but hornets consistently take down any anti-air I throw at them.

Possible it's just my system even though I have max settings unless thats causing it. I will have to run a test. Maybe its because the hornet fires continuously and the wolverine has long pauses

Qwaar 'Jet The scarab isn't really meant for air, it's meant for ground forces. Plus the whole idea of engineers is lost if you put a cap on it

The point I make with the scarab is that its animation work is far far to high in priority versus its utility. It spends far to long making sure it is facing perfectly at its target before it even attempts to fire. This is something that could be rather easily exploited by infantry to take a hefty chunk off of its health before it can even attempt to fight back. This would seem like encouraging micro... if it wasn't for the fact that the other uber-units appear to have none of these disadvantages. As far as the engineers, the problem with the current implementation is that it encourages just blobbing nothing but engineers around a single super unit, with their all terrain mobility, it would require the player to deploy dedicated anti air to properly deal with the engineer support, and this strategy would still not save them if the engineers were supporting instead some powerful ground unit. A cap on the healing rate would go a long way to mitigate this, or at the very least diminishing returns after so many engineers. In turn, this would promote fewer engineers mixed in with more combat units, with the engineers spreading their healing around among the army. At this point, a unit can still be focused down by a watchful player, and still the army with the engineer support remains a very potent viable threat due to its longevity.

Yeah that has always been a thing if you don't kill something outright in halo wars it will come back healed. Also I am pretty sure the scarab jittering is just a bug, it should definitely be able to shoot a lot better on the full release

Again, I don't mind fully healing units being a thing in and of itself, the fact it took fifteen seconds to bring the massive uber unit from the brink of death to not a scratch though is absurd.

Mira DeFleur animation and target acquisition intelligence is really buggy. also the fact that they only had 2 scarabs and a handful of other units that arent specialized in takin down flying units. HW2 still has the rock paper scissor rule which having a sentinel and 2 condor uber flying units would outdamage 2 scarab uber vehicle units. also the enemies had engineers to heal those units and they didnt nor did they use the shield. but yes the AI for units is really clunky so that gave flying units edge as they have better target acquisition radius and free mobility over terrain and their animation is not very restricted (they dont have to face a certain way to move/attack)

Gonna point out some stuff as a reply to my own comment. The camera problem is fixed, great! The game overall looks much better than before, especially the color scheme and colors in general. I hate the fact that there are 6 factions and apparently all the Covenant factions have the exact same units except the hero unit. That's awful! I have never in a single RTS game for more than 11 years NEVER seen such lazy shit! Factions of the same race ALWAYS has a good number of different units, upgrades, buildings and more. In Halo Wars 2 the only difference is the damn hero unit and upgrades, though a lot of the upgrades are the same and a few powers. Everything else is the same!! The look of the bases are exactly the same and units the fucking same. Both of these things are supposed to be different too. Did they spend more than half of the time working on Blitz instead of making all factions more unique? Gameplay ALWAYS COMES FIRST then STORY. I'm seriously considering cancelling my pre-order and to never look at this again. What the fuck CA. Did 343i and/or Microsoft manage to put a chained leash on you?

ReachStudioPro there are two factions with 3 leaders each....... also why does it matter if faction leaders have unique bases/structures? as you pointed out, it seems they focused on improving the games mechanics and issues brought during the beta.

@Ken Kaneki I was a part of the 5k people that petitioned to get halowars 2 made after loving the original halowars. However, after answering our call, the creators thought it was a good idea to change the fundamentals of the game... I dont understand why. They changed the game that many loved and wanted more of into something different, and might I add; a swing and a miss. Halowars was very fun, halowars 2 seems slower, not as fun, with what looks like not much improvment on graphics and unit movement/combat. And these super units?? They seems so over powered that it makes them a staple in armies. The reactor idea, no need for comment any halowars/rts fan would hate their decision to change it from what it was to what it is now. I havent seen enough of halowars 2 to make a definitive statement like i did ^ but #noragrets From what i see they ruined a good thing for me
